[Tolo News] Clashes between the Taliban, including foreign hard boys, and the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) have intensified in the district of Sangeen in Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... on Tuesday, according to the Helmand governor.
"There is an intense ongoing battle between the ANSF and Taliban fighters," Helmand Governor Mohammad Naeem said. "The security forces have pushed Taliban back by causing heavy casualties."
In the past two months, residents of Sangeen have witnessed extreme battles between the ANSF and the Taliban.
The first attack took place in late June when hundreds of Taliban fighters attacked Sangeen causing a lasting battle for days.
After a few weeks of relative peace, the Taliban have attacked the district once again.
Meanwhile, ...back at the palazzo, Don Smilzo looked for an avenue of escape. The only window opened a hundred feet above the moat. The nearest of the hired assassins hold a bloody axe.
The window was looking better all the time.... the National Directorate of Security ...the Afghan national intel agency... (NDS) has confirmed the recent insecurities, stressing, however, that the ANSF has the situation under control.
"Insecurity has not ended in the province of Helmand yet," NDS front man Abdul Haseeb Sediqi said. "But the security forces are prepared to counter the threats from hard boyz and illegal gangs."
Taliban's last attack on Sangeen was one the bloodiest and longest hard boy attacks in the past couple of years. The attack is said to have to been coordinated by Pak military experts and according to local officials foreign factions are involved in the recent attack on the district.

[Tolo News] Pakistain's military shelling has forced hundreds of displaced families to seek refuge in the districts of eastern Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country.. province leaving behind their native areas and homes.
Reports illustrate that many from Kunar's districts of Dangam and Shegal have settled or are searching for safe shelters in the districts of Behsud and Kama located in eastern Nangarhar.
"We have been under Pak rocket attacks for the last three years," said Agha Jan, one of the many people forced to flee his native town. "The attacks continue to force us to evacuate our homes."
Residents are weary of the constant sacrifices they are forced to make, warning that mass demonstrations will be held if the responsible organs do not prevent such attacks.
"If the Pak military attacks continue, we will demand our rights by taking part in protests," Fazel, another displaced resident, exclaimed.
In just the past two days, according to local officials, 100 missiles have been fired on two districts of Kunar.
The districts of Kunar are located alongside the Pak border and have been under attack for the past three years, but in recent months the number of attacks has increased dramatically with reports indicating that roughly 50 rockets, if not more, are fired onto the districts of Kunar.

[AnNahar] An Egyptian border guard was killed on Wednesday during a shootout with people traffickers trying to cross into Israel with illegal African migrants, a security official said.
Thousands of Eritrea ...is run by the People's Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ), with about the amounts of democracy and justice you'd expect from a party with that name. National elections have been periodically scheduled and cancelled; none have ever been held in the country. The president, Isaias Afewerki, has been in office since independence in 1993 and will probably die there of old age... ns and Sudanese nationals flee each year to Israel with the help of gangs across a vast desert region stretching from Sudan, through Egypt and up to the Sinai Peninsula.
The 22-year-old officer was stationed in the middle of the Sinai Peninsula -- which borders Israel -- when he was shot, officials said.
Israel's population of African immigrants reached almost 54,000 in 2013, the majority of whom were Eritrean and Sudanese, the country's immigration office said.
Last year, Israel constructed an electric fence along its 230-kilometer (143-mile) border with Egypt, attempting to put an end to illegal immigration.
In April 2013, Amnesia Amnesty International said Eritrean refugees kidnapped in Sudan had been raped, beaten, chained and sometimes killed after being forcibly transported to Egypt's Sinai Peninsula and held for ransom.
[Libya Herald] The Egyptian Foreign Minister has restated his country's policy of non-interference following last week's foreign Arclight airstrikes on Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
"Wudn't us. Might have been the Ruritanians. Did the planes have a lavender ostrich feather as their marking?
The comments were made during an Egyptian cabinet meeting as Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri reported back on Monday's and Tuesday's talks in Cairo between Libya's neighbours. The announcement was a swipe at claims published in the New York Times ...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... yesterday that Egypt had collaborated with the UAE to launch bombing raids on Tripoli.
The US State Department has meanwhile distanced itself from the statements made by American officials who had said they were surprised to learn of the Arclight airstrikes. Speaking at a press briefing yesterday State Department spokesperson Jennifer Psaki said it was "understood" that Egypt and the UAE had launched the strikes but that questions abut it should be referred to the two countries.
The General National Congress (GNC), which attempted to reinstate itself as Libya's legislature two days ago, has attributed the Arclight airstrikes to Egypt and the UAE, condemning them as a "flagrant violation of national illusory sovereignty". It said they contravened UN and Arab League ...an organization of Arabic-speaking states with 22 member countries and four observers. The League tries to achieve Arab consensus on issues, which usually leaves them doing nothing but a bit of grimacing and mustache cursing... conventions and called on its Arab neighbours to respond to the aggression.
Following the strikes, Libya Dawn ...aka Fajr Libya, the Islamist operation launched to counter that of General Khalifa Haftar (Operation Dignity). It is made up of the Libya Shield militia (Misrata and Moslem Brotherhood), Libya Revolutionaries Operations Room (Moslem Brotherhood), and Tripoli Brigade (close to Abdul Hakim Belhaj, head of Al-Watan party). Financing and moral support come from Turkey and Qatar... immediately accused the UAE and Egypt of involvement. It was the first time the Emirates had been implicated in such attacks. Senior Libyan officials previously stated they believed either Algeria or Egypt to be involved.
Egypt, Chad, Tunisia, Algeria and Sudan have met in Cairo to discuss ways in which they can help put an end to violence in Libya. They fear the current instability could spill over into the wider region. Delegates have already commented that any further escalation could prompt a foreign intervention.
The House of Representatives, based in Tobruk, earlier this month requested a foreign intervention. The request was rejected by the vaporous Arab League and by many bodies in Libya.
Similarly La Belle France, Germany, Italia, the UK and the US have said that they believe that outside interference in Libya would only exacerbate the current divisions within the country and undermine Libya's democratic transition.

The Agency administration is located in Khar. Bajaur is inhabited almost exclusively by Tarkani Pashtuns, which are divided into multiple bickering subtribes. [DAWN] KARACHI: Two suspected bully boyz and as many alleged gangsters were killed in encounters in the Sachal and Lyari ...one of the eighteen constituent towns of the city of Karachi. It is the smallest town by area in the city but also the most densely populated. Lyari has few schools, substandard hospitals, a poor water system, limited infrastructure, and broken roads. It is a stronghold of ruling Pakistan Peoples Party. Ubiquitous gang activity and a thriving narcotics industry make Lyari one of the most disturbed places in Karachi, which is really saying a lot.... areas, police said on Tuesday.
They added that a police patrol, busy in snap-checking near the Sindh Secretariat Flats in the Sachal area, signalled two men riding a cycle of violence to stop. However,

[DAWN] The battered Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain has suffered another blow with the emergence of a new group of faceless myrmidons within it, leaving the TTP leader, Mullah Fazlullah ...son-in-law of holy man Sufi Mohammad. Known as Mullah FM, Fazlullah had the habit of grabbing his FM mike when the mood struck him and bellowing forth sermons. Sufi suckered the Pak govt into imposing Shariah on the Swat Valley and then stepped aside whilst Fazlullah and his Talibs imposed a reign of terror on the populace like they hadn't seen before, at least not for a thousand years or so. For some reason the Pak intel services were never able to locate his transmitter, much less bomb it. After ruling the place like a conquered province for a year or so, Fazlullah's Talibs began gobbling up more territory as they pushed toward Islamabad, at which point as a matter of self-preservation the Mighty Pak Army threw them out and chased them into Afghanistan... , high and dry.
An Israeli army officer was moderately injured on Wednesday by stray fire from fighting on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights plateau, a military spokeswoman said.
The army said six mortar shells had crashed onto the Israeli-occupied half of the plateau in the past few hours, describing it as “errant fire” resulting from heavy fighting very close to the ceasefire line. The Israeli officer sustained wounds to the chest but the army was not immediately able to say whether it was due to a bullet or shrapnel. He was evacuated by helicopter to Rambam hospital in the northern port city of Haifa.
As a result of the fighting on the Syrian side of the plateau, the level of alert was raised on the Israeli side, she said, without confirming that it had been increased to the highest level.
On Sunday, at least five rockets from Syria hit the Israel side of the plateau, all of which were due to errant fire, the army said.
In June, an Israeli teenager was killed in a deliberate cross-border attack, which prompted Israeli warplanes to attack Syrian military headquarters and positions.

A notorious terrorist, believed to be one of the masterminds behind several cross-border kidnappings with links to the Abu Sayyaf group, has been arrested in southern Philippines.
The man, identified as Apo Kahumbo who operated from the Tawi Tawi island chain, has been wanted by both the Philippine and Malaysian police for many years. He and his group of gunmen are also linked to another notorious gang of kidnappers headed by the Muktadil brothers, who have been identified by Malaysian police as being responsible for several recent abductions in Sabah.
Tawi Tawi police chief Col Joey Salido said that Kahumbo was detained early yesterday in a joint operation involving several security agencies on an island less than a half-hour boat ride from Sabah's east coast.
"We are also looking to verify whether or not he is responsible for a number of kidnappings in the Philippines and Sabah," Salido said, adding that Kahumbo would be charged if there was sufficient evidence.
Malaysian intelligence sources say Kahumbo was also known as Mubin Halil. The sources said Kahumbo might also have been responsible for the latest Pulau Mabul attack, during which Filipino gunmen fatally shot Marine Police Kpl Abdul Rajah Jamuan and kidnapped his colleague Kons Zakiah Aleip from a resort on July 12.
According to the sources, Kahumbo had been one of the masterminds responsible for several kidnappings in Semporna, Lahad Datu and Kunak since early this year.
Philippine intelligence sources based in Zamboanga City said Kahumbo was an Abu Sayyaf member based in Tawi Tawi where kidnap victims were usually taken to before being brought to the Abu Sayyaf lair on Jolo island. They believed Kahumbo commanded a gang of eight gunmen, identified only as Amilbangsa, Roslam, Tamsi, Seahorse, Abrasar, Adunay, Nikson and Darwin.
One source said, "Kahumbo's group is clan based. Most of the members are his relatives."
Intelligence sources also believed the Kahumbo gang and the Muktadil brothers with another group known as Anjang-Anjang were collaborating and supporting each other in the cross-border kidnappings.

[AnNahar] Fifteen Australians, including two young jacket wallahs, are believed to have died fighting in Syria and Iraq, intelligence chief David Irvine said Wednesday, warning that espionage and foreign intervention threats were increasing.
Canberra has expressed alarm that around 60 Australians have joined violent jihadist groups such as Islamic State (IS) overseas.
One Islamic State fighter, Australian man Khaled Sharrouf, sparked outrage when an image of his Sydney-raised son posing with the rotting head of a Syrian soldier was reportedly posted on Twitter.
"The draw of imported muscle to Syria and Iraq is significant and includes more Australians than any other previous myrmidon conflicts put together," Irvine said.
He said the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) believed the number of citizens posing a potential security threat had increased substantially as a result.
"ASIO believes there are about 60 or so Australians fighting with the two principal myrmidon al-Qaeda derivatives, Jahabat-al-Nusra and the Islamic State in Syria or Iraq," Irvine said.
"We believe 15 Australians have already been killed in the current conflicts, including two young Australian suicide bombers."
Irvine said 100 more people in Australia were "actively supporting" these myrmidon groups by recruiting new fighters, grooming suicide kaboom candidates, and providing funds and equipment.
Australia has boosted its efforts to counter terrorism on fears that the bloody conflicts in Iraq and Syria are creating a new generation of turbans, including increasing spending on security and intelligence and strengthening terror laws.
Irvine said intelligence agencies were concerned about the dangers posed when some of these people -- potentially with a commitment to violence and training in the use of weapons or bomb-making -- returned to Australia.
He also warned that the age-old threats of espionage and foreign interference were on the rise against Australia.
"I can say that we are seeing growth in espionage and foreign interference against Australia, both through cyber and more traditional methods," he said.
"Further, the threat to government information from self motivated malicious insiders has increased."
Asked about the killing of United States journalist James Foley, beheaded on a graphic video posted online last week, Irvine said he had no view on whether media outlets should have shown the footage.
But he added: "It has, whether you liked it or not... brought home to us an understanding of the nature of what we are dealing with."
So the government and intelligence community and attorney generals office have not been doing their jobs.
They have not been defending the country against Islamist fascism.
they haven't even put Hizb-ut-Tahrir on the banned list.
they also have been refusing to draw a firm line in the sand of multiculturalism
They have not said clearly to the multicultural lobby and the leftards and the Muslim community: we won't tolerate Islamism so leave the country if you want to live under sharia law
they haven't done this. instead they pandered to them: join team australia they said.
they criminalised free speech instead.
and now the intelligence community and aforementioned attorney generals office want to seize powers nobody should have in a western democracy
they want immunity from prosecution when they intentionally break the law, even though there is no effective independent oversight body for them. no watchdog.
they want this not just for themselves but for affiliates.
they want to force courts to accept illegally obtained evidence.
all because of multiculturalism gone wild.
none of those Islamist fighters should be let back in the country - if they are immigrants with dual citizens then revoke their aussie citizenship.
if these aussie jihadis were born in australia then make sure no foreign born family members are given citizenship or visas. Make sure they are denied visas to travel unless they drop their religion.
and on their return lock them in prison 20 years no parole if they can be shown to have been fighting with Islamists.
#4
also the reason asio are now releasing all the data they usually hold secret
is so they can steamroll legislation through parliament to give them ultimate power: immunity from prosecution when they break the law, no need to apply for warrants when they want to track people, the power to hack everyone's computer and alter and tamper with data inside
[Iran Press TV] New pictures posted on social media show the ISIL Takfiri ...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed... forces of Evil summarily executing several Syrian government soldiers in the country's troubled northeast.
This comes as the ISIL terrorist group stormed the Tabqa military airport in the Raqqa Province on Sunday, after days of fighting which claimed more than 500 lives.
In one of the pictures, a group of the ISIL forces of Evil are seen shooting at least seven men identified as army personnel. Other photos show at least two dozen soldiers taken hostage.
Several dead bodies and abandoned military hardware around the base can be also seen.
Experts say the photos circulating online appear genuine and have been corroborated by other reports.
This is while the Syrian military says it is continuing Arclight airstrikes on the forces of Evil in the volatile area.
ISIL turbans fighting against the Syrian government have committed numerous mass executions during the ongoing conflict.
