[Dawn] KABUL: The United States closed the Bagram detention facility on Dec 10 and no longer has custody of any detainees in Afghanistan, the US Defense Department said, closing a controversial chapter of Washington's long ?war on terror?
The US released last three detainees from the notorious Bagram prison renamed as Parwan Detention Center in Afghanistan, ending its prisons operations.
Two of the detainees, including Redha al-Najar, were transferred into Afghan custody for possible prosecution, while the third wasn't considered a threat and is seeking resettlement in another country.

[IsraelTimes] Paleostinian president the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas ... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial... said he supported Egypt?s crackdown on tunnels linking the Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,-controlled Gazoo Strip to the Sinai Peninsula and any other action the country took to protect itself from turbans, according to a media report Thursday.
?We have supported all the precautionary measures taken by the Egyptian authorities to close the tunnels and stop the trafficking of arms and the passage of people between Gazoo and the Sinai,? Abbas said in an interview with Egyptian magazine Al-Ahram Al-Arabi due to be published on Saturday, extracts of which were published by MENA news agency.
?We will continue to support any measure protecting Egypt from danger,? Abbas was quoted as saying.
Guess there won't be a brotherly reconciliation followed by a joint technocratic government any time soon.
Since the 2013 ouster of Islamist president Mohammed Morsi by the Egyptian army, the country?s new authorities have accused Morsi?s Moslem Brüderbund of conspiring with Hamas.
The Egyptian military has stepped up the destruction of tunnels from Gazoo that it says are used by the Paleostinian Islamist movement to smuggle arms, food and money.
The army says it has destroyed more than 1,600 such tunnels since Morsi?s ouster.
Egypt has also begun setting up a buffer zone along its border with the Gazoo Strip, which will see hundreds of homes demolished, in order to prevent turban infiltration and arms smuggling.
Bitter rivals Hamas, the de facto rulers of Gazoo, and Abbas?s Fatah movement, which dominates the West Bank-based Paleostinian Authority, agreed on a national unity government earlier this year but reconciliation efforts have repeatedly hit stumbling blocks.
Like a scorpion, Hamas just can't help doing what it is they always do.
Cairo also suspects Hamas Lions of Islam of helping jihadists carry out a spate of deadly attacks against Egyptian security forces in the Sinai Peninsula recently.
In one such attack in late October, at least 30 soldiers were killed in a suicide kaboom in the Sinai Peninsula.
?If it is proved that Hamas members are implicated in terrorist attacks against Egypt, it has the right to go after them and punish them,? Abbas said, according to MENA.
Jihadists say they are taking Dire Revenge against a police crackdown on Morsi supporters that has left more than 1,400 dead.
[Libya Herald] The six members of Gulf Cooperation Council, which includes Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates... as well as Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... and the UAE, issued a unanimous and explicit statement of support for the HoR and the Thinni government at their summit in Doha yesterday. Everyone in Libya should "support the legitimacy" of the HoR, the statement read.
The leaders of the six member states, including the Emir of Qatar, also condemned the militias "and their control over the Libyan arena".
Stressing "the importance of the security and stability of Libya and its territorial integrity", they also called for an immediate halt to the violence and called for national reconciliation.
The unequivocal support given to the HoR and Thinni government, in contrast to the position taken by UN Special Representative Bernardino Leon, was unexpected. Qatar has been accused by the Libya government and the HoR, as well as a number of foreign governments of actively backing Libya Dawn ...aka Fajr Libya, the Islamist operation launched to counter that of General Khalifa Haftar (Operation Dignity). It is made up of the Libya Shield militia (Misrata and Moslem Brotherhood), Libya Revolutionaries Operations Room (Moslem Brotherhood), and Tripoli Brigade (close to Abdul Hakim Belhaj, head of Al-Watan party). Financing and moral support come from Turkey and Qatar...
The GCC played an initial pivotal role in the overthrow of the Qadaffy regime. It was the first international body to call for a no-fly zone over Libya at the beginning of March 2011, a call that was subsequently taken to the Arab League ...an organization of Arabic-speaking states with 22 member countries and four observers. The League tries to achieve Arab consensus on issues, which usually leaves them doing nothing but a bit of grimacing and mustache cursing... and endorsed by it, and then to the UN Security Council Because the request came from the vaporous Arab League, it made it impossible for Russia and China to veto it.

Financing and moral support come from Turkey and Qatar... 's media office has blasted Misrata House of Representative (HoR) member Fathi Bushaga for his recent claim that the GNC-appointed Hassi government was illegitimate.
Bushaga, an elected HoR member who has boycotted the parliament's sessions in Tobruk, told Misrata TV on 6 December, that Libya Dawn's mandate was to purge Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... International Airport of the Zintan militias. Once that was accomplished, said Bushaga, their mandate was over.
He also stated, in the TV interview, that the government of Omar Al-Hassi, put in power by the General National Congress (GNC), could not be considered legitimate because it was not appointed in a legal way. The GNC lacked the quorum it needed for the vote to appoint Hassi. He blamed the GNC for the lack of international recognition for an illegally appointed government.
For its part, Libya Dawn, in its statement published yesterday, said that its work was to "correct the course of the 17th February Revolution." It defended its current operations as a struggle to eliminate the counter-revolution currently being waged against the country.
Libya Dawn said that, contrary to statements made by Bushaga, it did not follow any foreign agendas and kept itself distant from political "tugging and conflicts".

The bombing of a market in the northeastern Nigerian city of Maiduguri last month bore all the hallmarks of an attack by Boko Haram. The group has struck Maiduguri repeatedly. But this bombing, which killed more than 30 people, was different: the two bombers were women.

The article is somewhat misleading as far as Germany is concerned.
The letter concerning Russia was signed by leftist and center leftist older establishment types with some older establishment conservatives sprinkled in.
The vast majority of the letter's signators are in all likelihood diametrically opposed to PEGIDA's agenda.
In summary:
The letter is an establishment endeavor where a sizable part of the German political class essentially argues in favor of feeding the crocodile while PEGIDA is a grassroots demonstration against islamization that is feared and hated by the establishment.

[IsraelTimes] A New York judge set a trial date on Wednesday to decide how much the Arab Bank is liable to pay in damages after it was found to have provided support to Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, for attacks in Israel and the Paleostinian territories.
Jury selection for the trial was scheduled for May 18 by US District Judge Brian Cogan, Rooters reported.
In September a New York jury found the Jordan-based multinational financial house liable on 24 counts of supporting terrorism by transferring funds to Hamas.
A jury deliberated for nearly two full days over the verdict after a month-long trial at the eastern district court in Brooklyn.
The bank has said it will appeal the ruling although it is not clear if the appeal will be allowed before the damages trial is completed.
A federal lawsuit was filed in 2004 on behalf of around 300 American relatives and the victims of 24 attacks carried out in Israel and the Paleostinian territories during the Second Intifada.
The American victims and their relatives said the bank violated the 2001 Anti-Terrorism Act when it served as a conduit for money from a Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... n fund to families of Paleostinians who died, including jacket wallahs.
Plaintiffs said the bank transferred more than $70 million to an alleged Saudi terror entity, charities they claim were a front for Hamas and 11 globally designated terrorist clients.
The trial heard that the bank was able to transfer $60,000 to Hamas spiritual leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and that, due to a spelling mistake of his name, it was not detected by screening software. Yassin was assassinated by Israel in 2004.
Every bank that has operations in the United States ? like Arab Bank ? uses the same automated software to screen those on terror blacklists.
The US plaintiffs claimed that Hamas, which the US officially designates as a terror group, directed the distribution of the money from the Saudi fund.
The Arab Bank Group has more than 600 branches in 30 countries, with assets last year worth $46.4 billion and a shareholders? equity base of $7.8 billion.

The Arab Bank was founded in Jerusalem, and from its inception had ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Yasser Arafat's brother Gamal was personal secretary of Ahmed Hilmi, founder and the manager of the Arab Bank whose home was in Jerusalem before leaving for Amman after the founding of the State of Israel. Gamal would serve as a member of "All Palestinian Government" formed in Gaza in September 1948. In Gaza and throughout the Middle East the Arab Bank has remained, in fact, THE Arab Bank.

Jackie seems to have forgotten that some folks simply do not respond to rational discourse, or maybe she has PTSD. From Wiki P:
Speier entered politics by serving as a congressional staffer for Congressman Leo Ryan. Speier was part of his November 1978 fact-finding mission organized to investigate allegations of human rights abuses by the Reverend Jim Jones and his Peoples Temple followers, almost all of whom were American citizens who had moved to Jonestown, Guyana, with Jones in 1977 and 1978.[5] Speier was one of two members of the mission who made wills before traveling to Jonestown.[11] Several Peoples Temple members ambushed the investigative team and others boarding the plane to leave Jonestown on November 18. Five people died, including Congressman Ryan. While trying to shield herself from rifle and shotgun fire behind small airplane wheels with the other members of the team, Speier was shot five times and waited 22 hours before help arrived.[12] That same day, over 900 of the remaining members of the Peoples Temple died in Jonestown and Georgetown in a mass murder-suicide.

P.P.S. I’ve never been clear on the morality whereby invading countries, leading to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, many of them civilians, is ok, while using drones to kill thousands more civilians in several countries is quite acceptable, but torturing a few people, mainly terrorists, is officially The Worst Thing Ever…but that’s probably just me.

When I was a very young child I lived in a zone where there was a half terrorist/half guerilla movement that did things like putting bombs in restaurants, throwing grenades at merrygorounds, setting bombs in school busses firing at civilian cars (one of them was my parents' and one of its passengers was myself when I was a baby) all while the guerrilla part of the "liberation" movement perpetrated horrendous massacres, horrendous by the number of vitctims and by the sadism they were killed. Victims were not only big bad colonizers bou also colonized people that didn't want independence or wanted it but not the kind of independence the thugs were fighting for.
At this point some paratrooper officers who had been tortured by the Communists in what is today Vietnam began to use "enhanced interrogation" and put the so-called liberation movement against the ropes all while the number of victims dramatically dropped. So they saved lives. One of them possibly mine.
So am I for torture as a method of investigation when you don't know if suspect is a bad guy? No. Am I for torture when guiltiness has been established beyond doubt and what you need is not to establish it but name and location of his accomplices so you can prevent them killing? The hell I am for it! Envision yourself telling a father "Your daughter has beeen raped and cut to pieces, her baby impaled. I could have prevented this but I didn't want to dirty my hands.". Try, just try to tell me that is the honorable and right thing to do.

I was struck by the liberal Democrats and their response to terrorists, one was Hillary Clinton and the other was Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Ca). Hillary said: This, she said, includes “leaving no one on the sidelines, showing respect even for one’s enemies, trying to understand and insofar as psychologically possible, empathize with their perspective and point of view.” Speier is calling for an apology to our enemies regarding enhanced interrogation techniques. It should be mentioned that Nancy Pelosi called the Tea Party terrorists.
There is something very disconnected, misguided, muddled and terribly wrong with the left and the way they think about terrorism. Recall Janet Napolitano's difficulty in talking about terrorism in a speech: In my speech, although I did not use the word “terrorism,” I referred to “man-caused” disasters. That is perhaps only a nuance, but it demonstrates that we want to move away from the politics of fear toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur.
Jackie Speir is calling for apologies to the terrorists. This is akin to a asking person about to be beheaded to apologize for getting his neck in the way of the terrorist's knife. By this sort of reasoning, we should have apologized to Bin Laden for killing 3000 of our citizens. As once was said, "Liberalism is a mental disorder."
[Dawn] ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court suspended on Wednesday a Nov 25 verdict of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) No. 1, convicting media tycoon and Geo TV owner Mir Shakeelur Rahman and sentencing him to 10 years rigorous imprisonment and Rs300,000 in fines.
A three-judge Supreme Court, bench headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, also asked Attorney General Salman Aslam Butt to assist the court on a question raised in the petition to determine the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court over the territory of GB. The date of the next hearing will be decided later.
The ATC had sentenced Mr Rahman over the airing of the May 14 episode of Dr Shaista Lodhi?s morning show, Utho Jago Pakistain, where the allegedly inappropriate use of a piece of qawwali prompted rival media groups to initiate a smear campaign against the Geo network, accusing it of committing blasphemy.
The petition before the apex court, moved by senior counsel Khawaja Haris Ahmed on behalf of Mr Rahman, asked the court to suspend the ATC?s conviction and stay any warrant of arrest, attachment or confiscation of passport in any territory that was part of the territory of Pakistain.
In the volatile environment after the programme aired, 71 FIRs were registered in nearly all major cities of Pakistain, including nine that were filed in GB, under blasphemy.
The latest petition contends that under Article 247(7) of the Constitution, the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court was barred only in tribal areas, but not in respect to any part of Pakistain. In terms of Article 1(2d) of the Constitution and on the basis of the ratio laid down in the SC judgment in the 1999 Al-Jihad Trust case, GB was held to be part of Pakistain.
Thus, if GB was a part of Pakistain, then the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court, especially under Article 184(3) of the Constitution, also extended to the territories, courts, authorities and persons functioning and/or residing in GB as well, the petition pleaded.
GB is considered to be a part of Pakistain even by the Supreme Appellate Court of Gilgit-Baltistan and that the courts in GB were considered as courts in Pakistain and the judgments passed by the apex court were also binding on all courts in the territory, the petition pleaded.
Moreover, the petition argued, the offences allegedly committed by Mr Rehman fell exclusively within the domain of the Pemra Ordinance 2002, by virtue of over-riding effect given to the provisions in the ordinance.
Anti-judiciary banners Meanwhile, ...back at the wine tasting, Vince was about to start on his third quart... a different bench, headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal, on Wednesday ordered Inspector General of Islamabad Police Tahir Alam Khan on Wednesday to appear before it in the second week of January next year. The summons is with reference to the matter of banners that went up in the Red Zone as well as different parts of the capital on the night of May 22.
Sponsored by an unknown organization calling itself the ?Farzand-e-Islam?, the banners levelled serious allegations against Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja.
On Wednesday, the court criticised Aabpara Station House Officer (SHO) Khalid Awan for his failure to apprehend the culprits behind the banners.
The court also rejected a police report, which claimed that freelance journalist Mohammad Rashid was behind the banners. The police report also claimed that Rashid had put up banners also against anchorperson Hamid Mir in the past.
Rashid?s email, Facebook and bank accounts had also been examined, but nothing significant turned up, the police report said, adding that a trial court was also conducting proceedings against Rashid and his three accomplices.
The apex court, however, reprimanded the police officer for presenting ?false reports? and ordered the Islamabad IGP to appear in person and submit a comprehensive report on the matter.

In a letter to divisional police chiefs, intelligence agencies and the counter-terrorism department of Punjab, the home department said there were reports that some Lion of Islam groups of Pakistain were joining the IS, also known as ?Daish?, because of its anti-Shia policies.
But it also revealed that there were groups which were resisting the IS.
The letter said there were some intelligence reports that the ?Salafi? groups were inclined towards ?Daish? which might be seeking support from jihadi outfits and Lion of Islam groups.
The home department has directed law-enforcement agencies to keep an eye on individuals associated with banned outfits and their activities.
Earlier, intelligence agencies had informed the Punjab government about the presence of a group of IS activists in the country.
There have been reports that Jundullah and a few Punjabi terrorist groups have prepared literature promoting the message of ?Daish? and that some of the groups may be behind pro-IS graffiti in urban areas.
The Regional Police Officer of Rawalpindi, Akhtar Umar Hayat Laleka, said that police had its own mechanism to monitor the activities of people belonging to banned outfits. According to him, no signs of Daish have so far been found in Rawalpindi division.
Police, he said, had not received any report about Uzbeks or Chechens joining the IS, adding that some individuals associated with banned outfits could be involved in wall-chalking with the motive of creating panic.

[AnNahar] Iraqi Defense Minister Khaled al-Obeidi said Thursday that the number of pilgrims in the city of Karbala for the annual Arbaeen commemoration had reached a record 17.5 million this year.
Arbaeen, which marks the end of the 40-day period of mourning after the anniversary of Imam Hussein's death, is considered one of the largest religious gatherings in the world.
"The number of Arab and foreign pilgrims has reached 4.5 million, of 60 different nationalities, the biggest contingent being Iranians," he told news hounds.
"And until today, we had 13 million Iraqis," he said.
The Arbaeen commemoration is on Saturday December 13, but millions of Shiite faithful have been walking to Karbala from all over Iraq, and large numbers from across the Iranian border, for days.
The Iraqi authorities had reported already last week that at least one million Iranians, the largest number on record, had come to Iraq for Arbaeen this year.
The crowds are so huge it is difficult to verify the figures provided by the authorities, but the governor of Karbala said it was the largest attendance ever.
"This is the biggest. It's exceptional because the pilgrims consider this as an act of defiance in the face of the terrorist gangs of Daesh," Aqil al-Turaihi said.
He was referring to the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... jihadist group which launched an offensive in Iraq in June and conquered entire swathes of the country.
Obeidi said the number of pilgrims was so high the country's top brass had to revise its security plan and open new access routes to Karbala, a medium-sized city about 70 kilometers (45 miles) south of the capital Baghdad.
The pilgrimage comes only weeks after a major victory against the jihadists in the Jurf al-Sakhr area between Karbala and Baghdad.
The continued presence there of IS fighters would have exposed the millions of southbound pilgrims walking through an area which has seen some of the worst sectarian violence of the past decade and has been dubbed the "triangle of death."
Most of the men now defending Jurf al-Sakhr, a sprawling area of farmland and palm groves nestled along the Euphrates, are from Shiite militias who fought alongside the army and with Iranian assistance, to recapture the strategic site.
"The victories obtained here have had a great impact on the march" of the pilgrims, Communications Minister Hassan al-Rashed said Wednesday when he visited Jurf al-Sakhr.
Rashed is also a commander in the Badr organization, which also holds the interior ministry in Iraq's new government and whose military wing is one of the largest Shiite militias in the country.
"Today all the areas surrounding Karbala are safe, thanks to the efforts they (Badr fighters) made, the blood they spilled and the sacrifices they made, in coordination with the security forces," he said.
Shiite pilgrims have been targeted in the past, but few attacks have been reported against those heading to Karbala this year.
[IsraelTimes] In a serious breach, an internal IDF video reviewing a terrorist infiltration during the summer?s fighting in Gazoo was leaked and posted on a Paleostinian website and YouTube Wednesday.
The footage revealed IDF code words for military positions, roads, and forces.
The infiltration from the sea occurred on July 8, a kilometer north of the Gazoo-Israel border. Four Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, divers were ultimately killed in the aborted infiltration attempt.
The leaked video revealed that one of the Hamas commandos managed to attach an boom belt to a tank, which detonated without causing damage. IDF videos and blurbs of the incident given to the public contained no mention of the boom belt.
The video opens with a military map, showing the code names and locations of surveillance cameras. It then shows footage from ?Lookout Johnny,? tracking one of the pairs of divers making its way out of the water.
The four Lions of Islam then hide in a bush to remove their diving gear and prepare themselves for the attack.
After the Hamas members cross the ?Hallel? road and take cover in a depression in the sand, IDF forces engage them from the east.
A Merkava tank and bulldozer arrive as well, and one of the Lions of Islam runs up behind the tank and hangs the explosives on it. ?Two, he is on the tank! Drive, Two!? shouts a voice on the radio, seconds before before the explosives detonate.
None of the soldiers were maimed, and the tank itself appears to have suffered no damage.
As the tank fires on the commandos, they flee back toward the coast, where they are killed by massive air force and navy fire.
?This is an internal IDF review, whose leak represents a serious incident which will be investigated and dealt with accordingly, and not in the media,? said the IDF.
Follow-up. It turns out sometimes Jewish boys will be boys, too. Let us hope they are thoroughly punished, for their own edification and all those similarly inclined.
[Ynet] Three young Jewish men who admitted arson at Jerusalem school were part of extreme right-wing organization, had been previously charged with assaulting police officers and spitting on nuns and priests.
The young men are members of the Lehava organization - a far right-wing group whose prime objective is to oppose assimilation of Jews, especially marriages between Jews and non-Jews.
The three suspects, who have admitted burning the school, also took part in protests against interfaith marriages in Israel between Jews and Arabs and protests against the Rami Levy supermarket chain, which employs Arabs.
The school that the young men set fire to is located mere meters from the home of Gabai. The young men arrived at the school at the end of the Sabbath, set fire to the building and ran away.
[AnNahar] Jordanian plans to buy gas from Israel have aroused fierce opposition in the kingdom at a time of mounting criticism of the Jewish state's policies towards the Paleostinians.
Parliament began debating the proposed gas deal on Tuesday, after 79 politicians in the 150-seat house filed a motion calling for it to be scrapped.
Okay, don't buy it. Israel will find another buyer. Maybe the Euros will agree to build a pipeline from Israel to Cyprus to Greece to Italy. Then you folks in Jordan can (literally) go pound sand...
"Gas supply is part of national security, so how can we link it to an enemy who does not respect its commitments?" asked Jamal Qamwa, who heads parliament's energy commission.
Sure Jamal. Perhaps you guys could look for NG within your own borders. Oh right, you have and you don't have any...
"We are bound to Israel by a peace treaty, but it does not respect it... It is also attacking our people (Paleostinians) in the West Bank and in the Gazoo Strip," he told Agence La Belle France Presse.
"This whole issue is not about importing gas or about prices. Buying from Israel will make us hostage to the Zionist enemy," he said.
*sigh* But no one else will sell to you at all, being as they're all caught up in internal difficulties. The altermative to Israel is sitting cold and hungry in the dark while enemies gather.
The elites there will stay warm and fed and that's what matters...
U.S. giant Noble Energy announced in September that Israel would supply Jordan with 1.6 trillion cubic feet of natural gas from its Leviathan offshore field over a period of 15 years. Leviathan is majority-owned by three Israeli companies, with 40 percent owned by Noble.
A source close to the deal, which has yet to be approved by the Jordanian government, said it would be worth $15 billion (11.4 billion euros). The gas to be delivered to the National Electric Power Company would help reduce Jordan's annual energy bill by around two billion dollars.
...money they need to pay for the army guarding against ISIS beyond their borders, and the Jordanian police guarding against ISIS and the Moslem Brotherhood within their borders,
Energy-poor Jordan was heavily reliant on Egyptian gas supplies, until they ground to a halt following a spate of kabooms since 2011 on the export pipeline through Egypt's restive Sinai Peninsula.
And next year Egypt will be buying gas from Israel. It's a funny old world.
The government has said Jordan's energy bill this year reached four billion dinars ($5.5 million), or 40 percent of the overall budget, a figure it is determined to cut.
But critics say Israel has failed to meet its commitments under a 1994 peace treaty with Jordan and instead stepped up "violations" against the Paleostinians.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] As the world marks Human Rights Day, reports swirl over the holy warrior group ISIS's recently released rules about how female sex slaves should be treated.
The pamphlet was published by the Research and Fatwa Department of ISIS on Dec. 3 and is written in the form of questions and answers.
The rules allow ISIS members to have sexual intercourse with, beat and trade non-Moslem slaves, including Yazidi women and girls.
According to the Middle East Media Research Institute, MEMRI, which translated the pamphlet, it may have been released in response to public uproar about ISIS's maltreatment of the Yazidi minority.
The pamphlet is titled Su'al wa-Jawab fi al-Sabi wa-Riqab - "Questions and Answers on Taking Captives and Slaves" and in it ISIS justifies capturing the women due to their status as non-Moslems.
"Unbelieving [women] who were captured and brought into the abode of Islam are permissible to us."
The pamphlet carries on: "If she is a virgin, [her master] can have intercourse with her immediately after taking possession of her. However, there's more than one way to skin a cat... is she isn't, her uterus must be purified."
In the publication, ISIS details how a female slave can be beaten.
"It is permissible to beat the female slave as a form of disciplinary beating, but it is forbidden to beat for the purpose of achieving gratification or for torture. Further, it is forbidden to hit the face."

Initially, I read the headline as "ISIS Sex Slaves Guide Mar's International Human Rights Day." That is about where any ISIS human rights initiative is--on Mars. You have the right to be Muslim (sometimes, so long as it the right kind of Muzzie), you have the right to submit, you have the right to be a sex slave, you have the right to be bomb material and cannon fodder, you have the right to be beheaded.
