[Daily Caller] Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley wants answers from FBI Director Christopher Wray about a Nov. 19 bureau raid on the home of a recognized whistleblower.
The whistleblower, Dennis Cain, who was once employed by an FBI contractor, reportedly turned over documents to the Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz regarding the bureau’s failure to investigate potential criminal activity regarding former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Clinton Foundation and the Russian company that purchased Uranium One.
Horowitz subsequently deemed Cain a whistleblower protected under the Intelligence Community Whistleblower Protection Act, Cain’s lawyer, Michael Socarras, told TheDCNF.
Grassley sent a letter to Wray on Nov. 30 asking pointed questions about the raid on Cain’s private residence in Union Bridge, Maryland. (EXCLUSIVE: FBI Raids Home Of Whistleblower On Clinton Foundation, Lawyer Says)
The Iowa Republican sent a separate letter to Horowitz on Nov. 30 seeking Cain’s documents and citing TheDCNF’s reporting.
From the way Mrs. Obama conducted herself while residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, I cannot avoid the conclusion that she considered her place in life her right and due. This is no more and no less than false humility to sell books.

"And so the Queen says 'just get in, sit wherever' and she's telling you one thing and you're remembering protocol and she says 'Oh it's all rubbish, just get in'."
I like this ol' gal. She seems to be a spunky one.
As for "impostor syndrome", I suspect that comes from getting things like position, honors and rewards that you know you don't really deserve as they are not due to any effort on your part. Someone's Nobel Prize comes to mind.

Fortuntely, she is on the record as saying she loathes politics and has no interest in persuing a political career. This comports with my sense, over the years, that she despised all the politicians her husband necessarily spent time with, not to mention those dreadful voters she had to help him court.

Her mom put on quite an entitlement show to the Chinese when Michelle, her mom, and the daughters visited China some years back. A source of US embarassment.

Humble brag. But in her case, she should listen to her feelings.
[PRESSTV] US Senator Bernie Sanders ...The only openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords. He ran for the 2016 nomination for president, to be cheated by Hillary, then went back to being a socialist... is preparing to launch a bigger presidential campaign than his first, as advisers predict he would open the 2020 Democratic presidential primary season as a political powerhouse, rather than an turban underdog.
A final decision has not been made, but close advisers to the 77-year-old self-described democratic socialist from the state of Vermont suggest that neither age nor interest from a glut of progressive presidential candidates would discourage him from attempting a second run for the presidency, The News Agency that Dare Not be Named reported Monday.
As Sanders’ advisers gathered for a conference in the state of Vermont over the weekend, some spoke openly about a 2020 White House bid as if it was almost inevitable, according to the report.
"This time, he starts off as a front-runner, or one of the front-runners," Sanders’ 2016 campaign manager Jeff Weaver told the AP.
"It’ll be a much bigger campaign if he runs again, in terms of the size of the operation," Weaver added, underscoring the senator’s proven ability to generate massive fundraising through small-dollar donations and his ready-made network of staff and volunteers.
Amid the enthusiasm, however, there were also signs of cracks in Sanders’ political base.
His loyal voters are examining a prospective 2020 Democratic field likely to feature a collection of ambitious liberal leaders, instead of the establishment-minded Perennial Presidential Campaigner Hillary Crooked Hillary Clinton ... former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, Conqueror of Benghazi, Heroine of Tuzla, formerly described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as The Thing That Wouldn't Go Away... , who beat Sanders in 2016 to become the Democratic nominee for president.
A new generation of outspoken Democrats such as Senators Elizabeth Fauxchahontas Warren ...Dem Senatrix from Massachussetts, who traces her noble lineage all the way back to Big Chief Spouting Bull. It has been alleged that she speaks with forked tongue but she denies that... , Cory Booker and Kamala Harris are expected to seek the Democratic nomination.
All three have embraced Sanders’ call for "Medicare for All" and a $15 minimum wage, among other policy priorities he helped bring into the Democratic mainstream during Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... ’s presidency.

I think it’s a brilliant idea that elderly Democrats like the honourable senator from Vermont and former vice president Joe Biden start accumulating and spending donations that otherwise would go to younger, more viable presidential campaigns.
[Townhall] Before we delve into her new "argument," I'd like to make a point about why the conservative commentariat sometimes seems fixated on Congresswoman-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. First, she entered the national spotlight as a media fascination and darling -- a young woman of color who shook up the Democratic Party from the left by defeating an establishment fixture. She wasn't randomly plucked from relative obscurity by right-wing writers or pundits for sport; she was elevated by a mainstream media that loves covering, and sympathizes with, rising liberal stars. And please recall the DNC Chairman referring to her as "the future of our party." Second, because of the attention lavished upon her, she has built a massive online platform. Among the dozens of newly-elected Democrats arriving in DC to serve in the next Congress, Ocasio-Cortez has, by far, the largest social media following. One metric:

If you have free health care, free housing and a guaranteed high-wage job then why do you need free college? Why bother with college if the rest of it will be there anyway?
