Say, you lived out on the eastern plains of Colorado. The land is flat and the horizon looks empty.
You’ve got a job, a family, responsibilities. You’re not driving hours west to confirm whether a mountain range is sitting there; it’s not like it’s urgent.
So you don’t push back. You just absorb the disinformation.
And soon enough, you’re not just accepting the idea, you’re defending it.
Your identity becomes wrapped in the belief that the world is exactly as you were told it is.
Any challenge to that belief feels like a personal attack.
Then one afternoon, you drive a little farther than usual and there it is. The massive, immovable Rockies, exactly where they’ve always been
And instead of asking, “Why was I misled?” you lash out.
Who put these mountains here? This disrupts everything! Who do I blame?
And people just like you begin insisting that the problem isn’t the lie… It’s the chain of mountains.
Nothing changed about the Rockies, only your relationship to reality changed.
This is how real manipulation works.
Not by controlling your actions, but by controlling the lens you use to see the world. So when reality finally shows up, you treat reality itself as the enemy.

A mask of darkness had fallen over the Gobi Desert training grounds at Zhurihe when the Blue Force unleashed a withering strike intended to wipe Red Force artillery off the map. Plumes rose from “destroyed” batteries as the seemingly successful fire plan took out its targets in waves. But it had all been a trap.
When Blue began to shift positions to avoid counter-battery fire, exercise control called a halt—and revealed that, far from defeating the enemy, more than half of Blue’s fire units had already been destroyed. After the exercise, the Red commander explained the ruse: he had salted the range with decoy guns and what he called “professional stand-ins,” the signatures of units and troops, which not only tricked Blue’s sensors and AI-assisted targeting into shooting at phantoms, but also revealed their own firing points.
It was just one example of how China’s military is building for a battlefield where humans and AI seek not just to fight, but fool each other.
Under the banner of “counter-AI warfare”, the People’s Liberation Army is teaching troops to fight the model as much as the soldier. Forces are learning to alter how vehicles appear to cameras, radar, and heat sensors so the AI misidentifies them, to feed junk or poisoned data into an opponent’s pipeline, and to swamp battlefield computers with noise. Leaders are drilling their own teams to spot when their own machines are wrong. The goal is simple: make an enemy’s military AI chase phantoms and miss the real threat.
The PLA conceives its counter-AI playbook as a triad that targets data, algorithms, and computing power. In May, PLA Daily described the concept in its Intelligentized Warfare Panorama series. It argued that the most reliable way to “break intelligence” is to hit all three at once.
First, counter-data operations inject junk data, skew what the sensors see, slip in corrupted examples, and reshape a vehicle’s radar, heat, and visual signals with coatings and emitters that mimic another platform’s profile and even engine vibration to mislead AI-assisted ISR. Second, counter-algorithm operations take advantage of model weak spots with logic tricks and crafted inputs, confusing AIs by breaking their “reward” signals and leading them to waste time in fruitless searches. Finally, attacks on computing power include “hard-kill” kinetic and cyber strikes on data centers and links, and “soft-kill” saturation attacks that flood the battlespace with electromagnetic noise, tying down scarce computing resources and clogging decision loops. A 2024 study by PLA researchers lists soft-kill techniques such as data pollution, reversal, backdoor insertion, and adversarial attacks that manipulate machine learning models.
Neither method incorporates random failure factors like scheduled generator fueling offered by the host command which neglects the increased OPTEMPO of guest operators. People still count.

Since that day, Germany’s industrial sell-off has not slowed — it has accelerated. Companies have already made their judgment: suffocating regulations, exploding compliance costs in the name of climate policy, and an administratively hostile environment have turned investments into a risk.
In short: industrial production is being systematically and willfully strangled by lawmakers.

Musk promotes the slogan "You are the media now," urging users to become their own news producers rather than relying on traditional journalists.
This rhetoric has changed the dynamic of X, promoting the idea that anyone can report and share news, which he believes undermines the media's monopoly on truth. By encouraging users to rely on "citizen journalism," Musk promotes a model in which every user can disseminate information without the strict standards typically upheld by professional journalists.
The slogan "You are the media now" epitomizes this shift, in which professional oversight is replaced by chaotic and often irresponsible content dissemination. This shift has created an environment in which disinformation thrives, as evidenced by numerous incidents documented by reputable organizations like Reporters Without Borders.
The strategy is understandable, but entirely viable, given the discrediting of mainstream media, whose "strict standards" do nothing to prevent them from spreading lies and disinformation en masse. The list was just posted yesterday on the White House website.
So, if major corporate media outlets irresponsibly spread lies and disinformation, what's worse for ordinary users? In fact, the owners of the mainstream media created the disinformation environment, and the "fight against disinformation" has simply been turned into a tool of censorship, easily declaring even the truth as a lie, and lies as the truth.
The White House website has a "Hall of Shame" listing American media outlets that report fake news and mislead.
Among them are: CNN, CBS News, MSNBC, The Washington Post, The Independent, The Boston Globe, Axios, The Wall Street Journal, The Daily Beast, People, USA Today, Associated Press, The New York Times, Politico, New Jersey Monitor, The Hill, The Los Angeles Times, ABC News, NBC News, and the British BBC.

[Ynet] In a conversation on the ILTV Podcast, the founder and CEO of the Institute for Black Solidarity with Israel warned that many self-identified Christians simply don’t know what the Bible actually says about Israel and the Jewish people. He described today’s believers as "a generation of Christians that don't really know the Bible," which makes them susceptible to media figures who misuse Scripture to undermine support for Israel.
Usually I would slam Gen Zyklon for this, but they've never read the Bible and don't know those who assist Israel are blessed.
The purpose of sermons is to teach, so the pastors have a weekly opportunity to not only elucidate details of the faith but also to introduce the idea of Bible study guided by the educated so that the new (and old!) faithful can come to deeper understanding of what they believe and why. But this is not a new issue — most people, whatever their label, have little more than faith and family tradition to guide their thinking once they get past the Sunday school years.
That’s why Tucker, who doesn't know the Bible, he'll get up there" and quote from the Bible, Washington said. But the statements he makes "only makes sense to you if you don't know the Bible."
Washington called Jew-hatred “a spiritual phenomenon,” not just a political or social one.

“The reason why we say he is one of, if not the, most dangerous, is the way he's doing it,” Washington explained, noting that Carlson mixes “legitimate conversation” about issues like the economy with “the Hitler and Nazi Holocaust denial.” With his reach and political connections, Washington said, “you're pumping this poison out to millions of people, and many of them are disarmed.”
Within the church, Washington believes Israel has become the defining fault line.
“Either you believe God's word when it comes to Israel and the Jewish people, or you believe the Tucker Carlson's and the Candace Owens,” he said.
His book, Zionism and the Black Church, carries the subtitle, “Why standing with Israel will be a defining issue for Christians of color in the 21st century,” and he insists that what begins in the black community has implications for the wider church.
Far from accepting claims that black support for Israel is collapsing, Washington says the picture is more nuanced and often encouraging.
Surveys show younger Americans in general leaning more pro-Palestinian, he acknowledged, but “we have not seen anything significant that has measured the black community older or younger, that shows it leaning more pro Palestine.”
Instead, he sees a political and spiritual struggle underway, one that he believes will determine not only the future of black-Jewish relations, but the spiritual health of the American church and even the fate of the United States itself.
