[NY Post] A California mass shooting that left three children and a young adult dead at a little girl’s birthday party was gang-related, according to the town’s mayor.
A total of 15 victims were struck when the deadly chaos unfolded just before 6 p.m. on Saturday at Monkey Space, a banquet hall in Stockton, roughly 40 miles south of Sacramento, Fox40 reported.
Stockton Mayor Christina Fugazi told the outlet the shooting was related to gang violence, labeling the tragic incident "domestic terrorism."
"Let’s call it what it is. This is domestic terrorism. This is gang violence, and it has to stop in our city," Fugazi told the outlet.
She also added that President Donald Trump’s advisers had called her early Sunday to offer their assistance — and that she has asked the US District Attorney to find the gunman who remains on the lam.
The White House did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
Authorities were originally "looking for one suspect. Now, we’re looking for a possibility of multiple," Heather Brent, a spokesperson for the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, told the outlet.
Neighbors claimed that gunfire appeared to sound off from multiple locations during the chaotic shooting, KCRA reported.

Soldiers of the Duvdevan commando unit operated in the West Bank village of Irtah and detained Ahmed Nasrallah, who the military says was a “key weapons smuggler” in a terror network based in the Tulkarem area.
He was handed over to the Shin Bet for further interrogation, the army adds.
[IsraelTimes] Officers of the police’s elite Yamam unit detained a cell of five terror operatives in the northern West Bank that was planning an “imminent” attack, security forces say.
The police, IDF, and Shin Bet say that the members of the cell were nabbed in the village of Barta’a, which straddles the Green Line.
The arrest comes as the military says it continues to carry out a major counterterrorism operation in several northern West Bank towns.

The operatives were spotted emerging from the tunnels in eastern Rafah, an IDF-held area where dozens of Hamas fighters were believed to be trapped underground.
According to the military, the four operatives were killed by troops and the Israeli Air Force.
In recent weeks, the IDF has reported killing over 30 terror operatives and capturing a further eight, after they tried to flee from the tunnels in Rafah. According to a prominent Hamas member in Gaza, the group estimates some 60 to 80 fighters are still holed up in the tunnels beneath the southern Gaza city.
In a video circulating online, the commander of the IDF’s Nahal Brigade, Col. Arik Moyal, said his forces, with support from the Israeli Air Force, killed the local Hamas battalion commander, his deputy, a company commander, and a fourth operative he identifies as the son of senior Hamas official Ghazi Hamad.
Last week, IDF officers told news hounds that the Hamas battalion commander and several company commanders were leading the trapped operatives.
In the video, Moyal showed a Tavor assault rifle recovered from the slain terror operatives, which he said belonged to Staff Sgt. Or Mizrahi, a Nahal soldier who was killed while battling Lions of Islam on the Gaza border during the Hamas-led October 7, 2023, onslaught.
"This is what happens to those who mess with us. Either they surrender, or we’ll kill them," Moyal said.
The matter of the trapped Hamas fighters has gone without resolution for nearly two months since the ceasefire went into effect in early October, as mediating countries have tried to negotiate terms for their safe passage back to Hamas-controlled areas.
According to a Channel 12 report last week, Israel conveyed a proposal to Hamas the week before that would allow the operatives to leave the tunnel, as long as they surrender and agree to be transferred to Israeli prisons.
Since the proposal was made, the operatives have not surrendered and have on multiple occasions emerged from tunnels in attempts to flee or attack IDF forces.
