A trio of migrant teenagers were charged in the fatal stabbing of a 49-year-old homeless man in Chicago over the weekend, according to officials.
Wuinayker Rodriguez-Vasquez, 16, was charged as an adult with first-degree murder in connection with the incident that happened on Sunday morning, according to the Cook County State's Attorney's Office. He appeared on Tuesday for a detention hearing, in which a judge ordered him to be held pre-trial.
Two 14-year-olds were also charged — one was charged with first-degree murder and the other was charged with armed robbery. The two 14-year-olds appeared in juvenile court on Monday and were ordered held in custody.
Officials said the victim did not know any of the suspects.
The Department of Homeland Security told Fox News that records show Rodriguez-Vazquez is believed to have crossed into the U.S. in September 2023 near Eagle Pass, Texas. He was arrested and released at the time along with his mother.
Assistant State’s Attorney Todd Kleist also said in a court filing in the stabbing case that Rodriguez-Vasquez's contact with Texas law enforcement in 2023 was documented as an "alien inadmissibility" case.
Rodriguez-Vasquez has no prior criminal history in Illinois, according to Kleist.
Prosecutors said the stabbing attack happened at around 5:45 a.m. on Sunday in the Chicago Loop, where the victim was sleeping near his cat and belongings, including a skeleton mask.
A group that included Rodriguez-Vasquez and the two 14-year-olds allegedly approached the victim while Rodriguez-Vasquez had a knife hidden in his sleeve and another teenager held a metal rod, according to prosecutors.
One of the teenagers grabbed the victim’s mask and ran. When the victim stood up, Rodriguez-Vasquez allegedly kicked him, prosecutors said. One of the 14-year-olds allegedly struck the victim, and Rodriguez-Vasquez is accused of stabbing him in the back, causing him to collapse.
The attack was captured on surveillance video.
The victim was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The medical examiner ruled the cause of death a stab wound to the back and the manner of death a homicide.
Police later detained the teenagers after spotting people on camera wearing the same clothing seen in surveillance footage. Rodriguez-Vasquez was found with a knife, and he was later identified by his mother and another member of the group.
Prosecutors said Rodriguez-Vasquez was seen in stills from after the incident "displaying a knife to the group, making stabbing motions, and wearing the victim’s skeleton mask on his head." Ewwwwwww
A Chicago police source told Fox News this was an especially heinous and cruel murder of an innocent homeless man, saying that it was a "mob style" attack in which some of the suspects were laughing afterward.

Wuinayker is an unusual name for an Hispanic person, assuming he is Hispanic with the last name of Rodriguez-Vasquez, being as how the Spanish language does not include the letter W.

[FoxNews] FBI linked Lucas Alexander Temple to extremist Signal chats through personal details he allegedly shared online
A Florida man was arrested after an FBI investigation linked him to multiple extremist group chats on the encrypted messaging app Signal, where agents claim he used aliases to share disturbing graphic messages, detailed instructions for explosives and violent neo-Nazi propaganda.
Lucas Alexander Temple, 20, is facing federal charges for distribution of information regarding the manufacturing or use of explosives and possession of an unregistered short-barreled shotgun, according to court documents.
According to criminal complaints, Temple shared a hand-drawn diagram of a homemade detonator, linked to YouTube videos describing how to synthesize dynamite and construct blasting caps, and posted a 122-page extremist manual filled with White supremacist rhetoric.
Investigators said the chats also included graphic discussions promoting rape, torture and murder, including the killing of non-White children.
Screenshots of messages allegedly sent by Temple's aliases included phrases like, "How long would it take to rape a femboy to death?" and discussions about sexually assaulting men.
Temple's online aliases were linked to his true identity through personal details shared in chats — including his age, job at a grocery store and a family museum visit — and were verified with state records and security footage, according to the complaint.
While executing a search warrant at Temple's home on Thursday, FBI agents found neo-Nazi propaganda, a book related to Columbine High School shooters Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris and a Springfield Model 67 Series E shotgun with a barrel shorter than 18 inches.
The barrel was allegedly sawed off and found in a separate area by investigators.
ATF records confirmed Temple was not registered to have the weapon.
Agents also found a handwritten note that said, "Plans: Wear body cams for livestream. Notify friends of livestream. Put flags on car. Play music on car speakers during operation. Place motion-activated bombs in doorways (for cops)."
Temple was taken into custody after the search.
During his initial court appearance, Magistrate Judge Amanda Arnold Sansone ordered that he remain detained pending trial, finding he posed a serious danger to others.

[Breitbart] Organizers of the World’s Strongest Woman competition stripped the winner of his title after discovering he is actually a man.
Organizers said they were unaware before the competition that Jammie Booker is actually a biological male, the New York Post reported. Booker’s title was revoked on Tuesday after he dominated the competition at the Official Strongman Games World Championship in Arlington, Texas, over the weekend.
Organizers said Booker violated the competition’s rules, which state that athletes must compete in the category of their “biological sex recorded at birth.”
“It appears that an athlete who is biologically male and who now identifies as female competed in the Women’s Open category,” organizers said in a post to social media.
“Official Strongman officials were unaware of this fact ahead of the competition and we have been urgently investigating since being informed,” the statement reads. “Had we been aware, or had this been declared at any point before or during the competition, this athlete would not have been permitted to compete in the Woman’s Open category.”
UK lifter Andrea Thompson, who was runner-up to Booker, is now the official winner of the competition. Thompson was notably filmed storming off the podium at the competition, calling Booker’s win “bulls—t,” according to the report.
“We are clear — competitors can only compete in the category for the biological sex recorded at birth,” organizers said.
“Official Strongman is inclusive and proud to run events which do not discriminate against athletes based on personal characteristics. Any athlete is welcome. But it is our responsibility to ensure fairness and ensure athletes are assigned to men or women’s categories based on whether they are recorded as male or female at birth.”
Booker has not publicly commented on his disqualification, according to the report. The organization said it has been unable to reach him after the competition.

[Breitbart] The Hayli Gubbi volcano in Ethiopia, located about 500 miles from the capital city of Addis Ababa, erupted on Sunday for the first time in about 12,000 years.
The eruption was not too devastating as such events go, but it did release an enormous plume of ash, which rode the subtropical jet stream and quickly expanded to cover parts of Yemen, Oman, India, and Pakistan. Air India announced it canceled at least 11 flights on Tuesday due to concerns over the cloud.
“The affected altitude is between 8.5 kilometers (5.2 miles) and 15 kilometers above the sea level,” said Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, director general of the India Meteorological Department (IMD). “It will temporarily affect satellite functions and flight operations. But it is unlikely to affect weather conditions or air quality. It reached northern India last night and seems to be headed towards China.”
The Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation advised pilots to be on the lookout for telltale signs of volcanic ash affecting their aircraft, including strange odors, visible smoke in the cabin, and “engine performance anomalies.” Might wanna look for those anyway?
Local officials in Ethiopia reported no casualties or damage from the eruption, but voiced concerns about how the ash cloud could affect local farmers and herders.
“While no human lives and livestock have been lost so far, many villages have been covered in ash and as a result their animals have little to eat,” said local administrator Mohammed Seid.
Residents said the sudden eruption was more akin to a bomb going off than an earthquake. The area is prone to seismic activity, since it is the “triple junction” of three tectonic plates.
The eruption was so sudden and unexpected that scientists were not prepared to measure its precise impacts.
Hayli Gubbi is a little over 1,600 feet high, standing as the southernmost volcano in the Erta Ale Range. Other volcanoes in the range are active, including the Erta Ale mountain itself, which is about nine miles northwest of Hayli Gubbi and boasts the oldest lava lake in the world. Volcanologists say Erta Ale erupted in 1967 and never really stopped. It has proven difficult to study because of harsh local conditions, including triple-digit temperatures and minimal rainfall.
Another volcano in the range called Dabbahu erupted in 2005 and touched off a string of earthquakes. One of the reasons Sunday’s sudden eruption caused no fatalities or damage is that very few people are willing to live in the seismically jittery region.
Hayli Gubbi displays all the geological attributes of a volcano, but scientists have found no evidence that it erupted during the Holocene Epoch – the current era of the world, which began 11,700 years ago. Sunday’s eruption lasted for several hours.

A Florida sailor stationed in Hawaii died after heroically rescuing two children in Waiapua‘a Bay.
Master-at-Arms 1st Class Jeffrey Diaz, 47, of Florida, died Saturday, according to a news release from the Kaua‘i Police Department (KPD).
Diaz, who was stationed at the Pacific Missile Range Facility in Barking Sands, jumped into the water to rescue two children who were struggling in the high surf, according to the release.
While the children made it back to shore safely, police said Diaz encountered trouble in the water.
Personnel with the Ocean Safety Bureau and Barking Sands Fire and Emergency Services Department later pulled Diaz from the water and began lifesaving efforts.
He was taken to the Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
"We are heartbroken by the passing of our shipmate and friend, MA1 First Class Jeffrey Diaz and extend our sincerest condolences to the family, friends and shipmates who are grieving," Capt. Robert Prince, commanding officer of the Pacific Missile Range Facility, wrote in a statement to Fox News Digital.
"We are grateful to the emergency responders, Sailors and their family members who provided immediate assistance, and we remain committed to supporting his family and those affected as we navigate this difficult time together," Prince continued.
[IsraelTimes] Israeli-founded companies generate billions in revenue and thousands of jobs for the US state of Virginia, says a report from the United States-Israel Business Alliance, a group that works to foster economic ties between the US and Israel.
The report is the first to measure the impact of Israeli companies in the state.
There are 119 Israeli-founded companies, or a firm with at least one Israeli-born founder, in Virginia.
In 2024, those companies created 3,767 jobs and $2.3 billion in gross economic output, adding $998 million in value to Virginia’s economy, the report says.
The average earnings for employees across the companies is $77,408.
The companies also indirectly created thousands more jobs, the report said.
“Israeli-founded companies are driving innovation, investment and jobs across the Commonwealth – from defense and life science sectors to agriculture and advanced manufacturing,” Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin says in a statement.
“We will continue strengthening our economic partnership with Israel to create even more opportunities for Virginians,” Youngkin says.
Israeli companies that open operations in the US tend to focus on New York, the West Coast and Florida, but the report highlights Virginia as a promising alternative due to its location on the East Coast that is closer to Israel in distance and time zone, its high concentration of educated tech workers, universities and low corporate taxes, among other factors.
Northern Virginia also borders Washington, DC, drawing in defense and aerospace companies, a strong suit for Israel, the report says.
Agriculture and life sciences are also fertile ground for Israeli companies in Virginia, the report says.
“We believe that the Virginia-Israel commercial relationship is just getting started,” says Aaron Kaplowitz, the head of the United States-Israel Business Alliance.

French authorities Tuesday arrested four more people in the probe into last month’s spectacular daylight theft of imperial jewels from the Louvre museum, the top Paris prosecutor said.
“They are two men aged 38 and 39, and two women aged 31 and 40, all from the Paris region,” Laure Beccuau said, following earlier charges against four others over the October 19 heist.
Last month, a four-strong gang raided the Louvre, the world’s most-visited art museum, in broad daylight, taking just seven minutes to steal jewelry worth an estimated $102 million before fleeing on scooters.
The thieves parked a moving truck with a ladder below the museum’s Apollo Gallery housing the French crown jewels, ascended in a bucket, broke a window and used angle grinders to cut into glass display booths containing the treasures.
The four already charged over the theft include three men and a woman.
The thieves dropped a diamond- and emerald-studded crown that once belonged to Empress Eugenie, the wife of Napoleon III, as they escaped.
But they made off with eight other items of jewelry including an emerald-and-diamond necklace that Napoleon I gave his second wife, Empress Marie-Louise.
One of the men already charged in the heist, a 37-year-old, was in a relationship with the woman and they have children, Beccuau said earlier this month. The couple were arrested after their DNA was found in the basket lift used during the robbery. The man's criminal record contained 11 previous convictions, most of them for theft, she said.
The first two men arrested earlier were also known to the police for having committed thefts. Both lived in the northeastern Paris suburb of Aubervilliers.
Last week, Louvre director Laurence des Cars revealed some new details about the security breach, saying the power tools used by robbers to cut through the display cases were meant for concrete.
"It's a method that had not been imagined at all" when the display cases in the Apollo Gallery were replaced in 2019, she said Wednesday while telling lawmakers that new surveillance cameras and anti-intrusion systems will soon be installed at the Paris landmark. At the time, they had been designed primarily to counter an attack from inside the museum with weapons, she added.
Footage from museum cameras show that during the robbery, the display cases "held up remarkably well and did not break apart," she said. "Videos show how difficult it was for the thieves."
Des Cars stressed security improvement is a priority of the decade-long "Louvre New Renaissance" plan launched earlier this year, with an estimated cost of up to 800 million euros ($933 million), to modernize infrastructure, ease crowding and give the Mona Lisa a dedicated gallery by 2031.
With the Louvre crumbling under the weight of mass tourism, des Cars has restricted the daily number of visitors to 30,000 in recent years.
