[Breitbart] Information provided by a law enforcement task force established by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reveals more than 50 confirmed members of the violent Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang were arrested during a raid executed at an illicit nightclub in San Antonio on November 16. The Trump administration designated Tren de Aragua as a foreign terrorist organization earlier this year.
On Tuesday, the South Texas Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) issued an update to initial reports regarding the early Sunday morning raid that occurred at 5939 San Pedro Avenue at a makeshift nightclub. The HSTF says the raid resulted in the detention of 143 illegal aliens who were taken into ICE custody. Of those, the task force indicated 51 were confirmed Tren de Aragua gang members.
Authorities say the operation was conducted to address public safety concerns in an area that had been reported as a gathering point for people suspected of being associated with the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang. Reports included possible criminal activity at the location involving narcotics distribution, unlawful weapons possession, and human trafficking, according to the task force.
The nationalities of the illegal aliens taken into custody included 98 citizens of Venezuela, 21 Honduran nationals, 14 Mexican citizens, four Cuban citizens, two Ecuadorian nationals, one national from Nicaragua, one citizen from Peru, one from Guatemala, and one Salvadoran. According to the task force, 25 suspects arrested had criminal records in the United States, including 13 felony offenses and 12 misdemeanors.
In addition to those arrested for illegal presence in the United States, authorities say three firearms and cocaine were seized during the raid. More than $30,000 in cash was also found during the operation.
As reported by Breitbart Texas, two Democrat lawmakers from Texas demanded answers from the FBI and DHS about the raid and expressed their concerns about the illegal aliens arrested during the early morning raid at the illegally operated nightclub.

U.S. special operations troops and Puntland Counter-Terrorism Forces carried out a pre-dawn assault on ISIS-Somalia hideouts in the Baalade Valley. More than 100 American operators arrived by MH-60 helicopters with MQ-9 Reapers overhead, striking cave positions held by about 10 to 15 ISIS fighters in the Bakuuje and Mareero areas of the Cal Miskaad range. PCTF pushed in with roughly 200 troops after several days of U.S. airstrikes that had already killed multiple militants.
The raid triggered two to four hours of close-quarters clashes inside fortified caves, including engagements with foreign fighters from Syria, Turkey, and Ethiopia. By sunrise, U.S. and PCTF forces had withdrawn with no reported American casualties.
Early results indicate a senior ISIS-Somalia commander and several aides were killed, along with a total of 5 to 10 terrorists. Forces also destroyed weapons caches and equipment used for gold-mining operations that funded the group.
Puntland’s leadership says its Operation Hilaac now controls almost all of the Cal Miskaad mountains and aims to eliminate ISIS-Somalia by December 2025.

[CBS] What to know about the shooting of 2 National Guard troops in Washington, D.C.
Police in Washington, D.C., responded to the scene of a shooting Wednesday afternoon near the Farragut Metro stop, a few blocks from the White House, at 17th and I Street NW.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said two members of the National Guard were shot. President Trump said both were "critically wounded."
The Metropolitan Police Department said the crime scene was secured and a suspect is in custody. Police said the suspect was injured and was taken to a hospital.

Afghan national who came to US in botched 2021 withdrawal named as National Guard shooting suspect
Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, has been named as the alleged gunman in custody over the horror shoot-out at Farragut West metro station in the center of Washington, DC, which has left two soldiers in a critical condition.
Law enforcement sources initially told NBC News the gunman has been identified as an Afghan national and the shooting is being investigated as a possible act of terror.
He allegedly came to the United States during the chaotic US withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021 under Joe Biden's Operation Allies Welcome, sources told The New York Post.
The operation sought to resettle vulnerable Afghans, including those who assisted the US during the war. It is understood Lakanwal was residing in Bellingham, Washington.
Biden long defended the catastrophic withdrawal, which cost 13 Americans their lives and weakened the U.S.-backed Afghan government against the Taliban, ultimately allowing the terror group to seize control again.
Donald Trump vowed that 'the animal' who shot the troops 'will pay a very steep price.'
The suspect was shot during the shoot-out and is being treated in hospital, authorities said.
Law enforcement sources told CNN that the suspected shooter, who has not been publicly identified, is not cooperating with cops.
The suspect appeared to target the soldiers, firing first at one of the guardsmen who was mere feet away, according to the sources.
The suspect then allegedly fired at the other guardsman who tried to get behind a bus stop shelter.

IDF KILLS 5 GUNMEN IN RAFAH, AS OPERATIVES STILL HOLED UP
Meanwhile Tuesday, the military said it killed five button men in eastern Rafah, an IDF-held area in the southern Gaza Strip where dozens of Hamas operatives are believed to be trapped in tunnels.
Troops of the Nahal Brigade, during scans of the area, spotted the five armed operatives and killed them a short while later, the army said, publishing images of their firearms. The military said it believes the button men emerged from tunnels in the area, where several dozen Hamas operatives remain holed up.
A week ago, IDF troops spotted and rubbed out four operatives who emerged from a tunnel in the area. In an incident over the weekend, 17 button men emerged from tunnels and were either killed or captured.
The IDF has vowed to kill or capture all the remaining operatives on the Israeli side of the Yellow Line that separates Gaza in accordance with the October ceasefire agreement.
TROOPS KILL OPERATIVE WHO CROSSED YELLOW LINE IN NORTH GAZA
Additionally, the IDF said troops rubbed out a terror operative who crossed the Yellow Line in a separate incident on Tuesday.
The operative was identified approaching troops of the 188th Armored Brigade "in a way that posed an immediate threat," the military said. The soldiers opened fire and "eliminated the terrorist to remove the threat," the statement added.
On Saturday, Israel carried out deadly strikes across Gaza in response to an attack on troops in the Strip’s south. According to Israel, the strikes killed several Hamas commanders. On Monday, the IDF said it killed suspects who crossed the Yellow Line in several separate incidents.

Hamas has so far refused to agree on the matter of demilitarization. Israel insists the Strip must be demilitarized before Trump’s plan can advance.

Body of hostage returned from Gaza last night identified as Dror Or
[IsraelTimes] Military representatives have notified the family of Dror Or that his body was returned to Israel by Palestinian terror groups last night, after forensic experts completed identification efforts.
Or was murdered by Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists and abducted from his home in Kibbutz Be’eri on October 7, 2023.
Or’s body was “found” by Palestinian Islamic Jihad in central Gaza’s Nuseirat on Monday. Islamic Jihad and Hamas handed over the body to the Red Cross on Tuesday afternoon, who then brought it to the IDF.
The bodies of two slain hostages now remain held in the Strip — Master Sgt. Ran Gvili and Thai national Sudthisak Rinthalak.
“The Israeli government shares in the deep sorrow of the Or family and of all the families of the fallen hostages,” the Prime Minister’s Office says in a statement.
The PMO says that Israel is “determined, committed, and working tirelessly” to bring back the remaining two slain hostages for burial, adding that Hamas is “required to fulfill its commitments to the mediators and return them as part of the implementation of the agreement.”
Or’s wife, Yonat, was also murdered during the onslaught in Be’eri, and their younger children, Noam and Alma, were abducted alive and later returned in a ceasefire deal two years ago, on November 25, 2023.

A Paleostinian terrorist who killed an Israeli security guard at a West Bank industrial park last year was killed by troops in a firefight on Tuesday morning, according to the Israel Defense Forces.
On August 18, 2024, the assailant, Sultan al-Ghani, fatally maimed security guard Gidon Peri, 38, at the Bar-On industrial park near Kedumim by attacking him with a hammer, before snatching his handgun and fleeing the scene.
The military said Tuesday that IDF troops and Shin Bet officers operated in an area south of Jenin overnight, during which the forces nabbed five suspected accomplices of al-Ghani.
Then Tuesday morning, soldiers of the Duvdevan commando unit encircled a building where al-Ghani was holed up and he was killed in an exchange of fire, the IDF said.
The military said that during scans in the building afterward, the soldiers found several firearms, an bomb and ammunition.
Peri was on duty as a civilian security guard in the industrial park, located in the northern West Bank, at the time of the attack. He was hit in the head with a hammer and taken at death's door to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva, where his death was later declared.
A military source said at the time that al-Ghani fled initially in a car and then on foot after grabbing Peri’s handgun.
Al-Ghani had a work permit to enter Israeli-controlled areas of the West Bank and he worked in a factory in the industrial park, according to defense sources.
The operation on Tuesday came hours after another Paleostinian assailant, who killed two soldiers last year and had been on the run since, was killed by Israeli forces in Nablus.
On Monday evening, Abdel-Raouf Shatyeh — who was accused of ramming his vehicle into an Israeli army post in May 2024, killing Staff Sgt. Eliya Hilel and Staff Sgt. Diego Shvisha Harsaj — was killed by counterterrorism police in the West Bank. The IDF and Shin Bet said that they had been working to track down Shatyeh ever since he expeditiously departed at a goodly pace of the attack in 2024.
[IsraelTimes] Syrian security forces use gunfire to break up two rival groups of demonstrators in the coastal town of Latakia, heartland of the country’s Alawite minority, witnesses and officials say.
Syria has been rocked by several episodes of sectarian violence since longtime leader Bashar al-Assad, who hails from the Muslim Alawite minority, was ousted by a rebel offensive last year and replaced by a Sunni-led government.
Witnesses say hundreds of Alawite protesters had gathered to demand a decentralized political system in Syria and the release of men they say were unjustly detained by the country’s new authorities. Supporters of the government then gathered and began shouting insults at the Alawites.
About an hour into the Alawites’ rally, gunshots were heard in Agriculture Square, one of two town squares where the protesters had gathered, according to two witnesses and videos verified by Reuters. One of the verified videos showed a man lying motionless on the ground with a wound to the head.
There was no immediate official word on casualties.
Noureddine el-Brimo, the head of media relations in Latakia province, tells Reuters security forces had fired into the air to disperse the rival protesters, and added that unknown assailants had also fired on civilians and on the security forces.
He gave no further details but witnesses said both protests had broken up by the afternoon.
