At Least 139 Migrants Dead After Boat Capsizes Off Djibouti
[ShabelleMedia] At least 139 migrants colonists, including children, have died after a boat carrying more than 300 people capsized off the coast of Djibouti, the International Organization for Migration said Sunday, with dozens still missing and fears the corpse count could rise.

The boat was carrying 305 people travelling from Djibouti towards Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
when it sank shortly after leaving the coast on the evening of October 8, according to the IOM. More than 80 people survived, while at least 84 others remained missing.

Alexandre Coissac, the IOM’s head of mission in Djibouti, told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named that the confirmed corpse count of 139 included only bodies buried by Djiboutian authorities. Other migrants colonists had also buried bodies, but those deaths had not yet been included in the official count pending verification.

Some of the victims were buried in mass graves without being identified, Coissac said, raising concerns that their families might never learn what happened to them.

The disaster was believed to have been caused in part by overcrowding on the vessel, according to Coissac. Rescue teams and local authorities continued efforts to recover bodies and search for survivors, but managing the large number of bodies arriving on the shore at once had proved difficult.

The survivors, all Æthiopian nationals, were taken to an IOM migrant response centre in the port town of Obock, where they were receiving medical care, psychological support and other assistance.

Some survivors remained traumatised by the tragedy, while others had learned that relatives were among the dead, the agency said.

The sinking highlights the dangers faced by migrants colonists travelling along the so-called Eastern Route, a major migration corridor used by people from the Horn of Africa seeking to reach Gulf countries through Yemen.

Many migrants colonists cross the Gulf of Aden in an attempt to reach Saudi Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula, largely made up of sand and oil rigs. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual haj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Formerly dictatorial and steeped in Olde Tyme Religion, deferring to Salafist holy men on all issues, it has now done a 180 and is making a serious effort to modernize, so as not to be left in the sand by its Gulf Arab neighbors. The holy men have been shoved to the background and the nation is now still dictatorial but somewhat rational. That doesn't make them trustworthy, but it's a start...
and other destinations in search of work and better living conditions. The route remains dangerous because of overcrowded boats, unpredictable sea conditions and the risks posed by smugglers.

Despite repeated tragedies, thousands continue to attempt the crossing each year, often relying on smugglers to arrange sea journeys.

The IOM has repeatedly warned that migrants colonists travelling along the route face serious risks, including drowning, abuse and exploitation. The latest disaster is among the deadliest reported in the waters off Djibouti in recent years.

Search and recovery operations were continuing, with authorities working to establish the full number of people who died or remained missing.

Islamic State claims to have killed 400 JNIM fighters, including emirs

Translated Text:

🚨 URGENT | EI-S VS JNIM

The Islamic State claims to have killed 400 JNIM fighters, including emirs, and claims responsibility for the destruction of 300 motorcycles as well as the seizure of a vehicle, more than 460 machine guns, 13 rocket launchers, and 104 other motorcycles.
Surely those numbers are a bit high — more like “1, 2, many” in meaning.
The organization states that the majority of the fighters were killed during pursuits, following a battle near Ganadawari, in Oudalan province.

Yet, Daesh's propaganda resembles that of the AES: extravagant figures.

During the battle between the two groups near the border with Burkina Faso, more than 500 EI-S fighters were killed, including five emirs, among them Anas, Barjou, and Ikrima.

JNIM mobilized tens of thousands of fighters and cannot be defeated in this battle, despite Mali's overt support for EI-S: strikes targeting JNIM positions, with no comparable strikes against those of EI-S.

Translated Text:

Mali BurkinaFaso Jnim Issp the gigantic battle continues that is taking place on the border between Burkina Faso and Mali, on a front that is just under 200km, from Tillaberi in Mali to the Oudalan region (particularly the natural reserve north of Aranda).

ISSP is the first to have broken the silence, claiming more than 400 JNIM members killed and the conquest of 200km of territory. Jnim has not yet commented.

The battle is undoubtedly the largest in history between 2 jihadist-inspired formations, such as Jnim (affiliated with Qaeda) and ISSP (Saharan branch of the Islamic State).

It is occurring in a territory often mixed, straddling the 3 borders (Mali, Burkina, Niger), now completely out of the control of the respective states. A huge area with few natural resources that the various groups seek to seize.

Clashes in this friction zone between the 2 movements have always existed, but here it is the scale of the clashes that stands out, also given by the numbers (certainly inflated) released by ISSP and the first important local leaders of the movement "martyred" in the clash.

That the battle was in the air was also understood from Jnim's lack of reaction to the governmental capture of Kidal. Likely that the movement was already preparing for the ISSP offensive on this territory.

Both movements have maintained Opsec until today, and it is likely that in the next few hours there will also be a statement from Jnim (which will give its own version of the clashes)

Large-scale clashes have been taking place between JNIM and IS Sahel in the Gourma region

Text:

Large-scale clashes have been taking place over the past two days between #JNIM and #ISSahel in the #Gourma region of eastern #Mali, particularly around #Tessit, near the border with #BurkinaFaso.

According to reports, JNIM has launched a major military mobilization against IS-Sahel. Reinforcements have reportedly been deployed from #Kidal to the battlefield. Two senior IS-Sahel commanders have also reportedly been killed in the fighting. However, both groups have largely restricted the release of information, leaving the scale of casualties and the situation on the ground unclear.

The most significant development is the possibility of a shift in JNIM’s military strategy toward IS-Sahel. Since last year, JNIM has largely avoided large-scale confrontations with IS-Sahel. However, following a series of recent defeats, JNIM’s leadership may have decided to launch a direct and full-scale military campaign against the group.

Tanker struck by drone off Oman amid ongoing US-Iran tensions
[Rudaw] A tanker was struck by an uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) near Oman's Sohar anchorage on Sunday, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said early Monday, as attacks continue to threaten maritime security around the Strait of Hormuz.

UKMTO initially reported an incident involving a tanker near the anchorage, saying the crew's status, extent of damage and potential environmental impact were unknown. In an update, the maritime security agency reclassified the incident as an attack after confirming that the vessel had been hit by a drone.

"Local authorities are assisting in the evacuation of the crew," UKMTO said, advising vessels to "transit with caution" and report any suspicious activity as authorities investigate the incident.

This comes as at least 17 attacks against tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding waterways have been reported since September 28, alongside at least two confirmed incidents in which vessels were hailed, all linked to Iran, according to a maritime security assessment by the Washington Institute.

On Sunday, a tanker was struck by an unidentified projectile while sailing outbound through the Strait of Hormuz, sustaining damage to its port side, according to UKMTO.

Houthis announced a new attack on Riyadh airport
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited
[Regnum] The Shiite military-political movement Ansar Allah (Houthis), which rules northern Yemen, announced a new strike on King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. This was reported on October 12 by Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saria.

"This evening, we launched a precision ballistic missile strike on King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh, the capital of the Saudi Arabian enemy, accurately hitting its target," the Houthi armed forces said in a statement posted on their Telegram channel.

Earlier, the Saudi Arabian General Authority for Civil Aviation reported that a new attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh killed one person and injured several others. Damage to the airport is still being assessed.

A projectile of unknown origin hit Terminal 4 of Riyadh International Airport on October 11.

The number of casualties in the strike on Riyadh airport on October 10 has risen to 309. Twelve people were killed.

On October 5, the Houthis declared Saudi Arabian airspace, excluding the skies over Mecca and Medina, a military operation zone. The attack on the airport was carried out by the Houthis, stated Turki al-Maliki, spokesman for the Saudi-led Arab coalition against the Houthis.

#1  Houthis threaten 'swift and painful' attacks targeting US if Trump joins Saudi strikes

Houthi rebels threatened a "swift and painful" response against U.S. interests across the Middle East on Monday if President Donald Trump joins Saudi military strikes against the group, AFP reported.

"If the US becomes involved in the aggression against Yemen, we will not deliberate over the decision to respond, rather, there will be a swift and painful response targeting the US and all its interests in the region," Houthi political bureau member Mohammed Al Bukhaiti told the European news agency.

Bukhaiti also warned "all employees and workers at Saudi oil facilities and airports to stay away from these sites, as they have become legitimate targets".

The threats followed the group's deadly attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which killed at least 13 people and wounded hundreds more.

Trump condemned the Riyadh attack Monday, stating it was unacceptable.

"The Houthis are misbehaving very badly. They're misbehaving very badly. No good," the president told reporters at the White House.

Houthis Using Children on Front Line in Yeman
[X] Oh Sattar, most of them are kids!!

Southern Giants Forces provide medical care to dozens of injured Houthi prisoners after their militias abandoned them without aid.

The Southern Giants Forces are a mostly Sunni militia allied with the Yeman Govt. in the battle against the Houthis. The phrase, "Oh Sattar" perhaps refers to a man who once sang in Iran but now lives and sings in the USA. Some of his songs have lyrics that are anti Iran govt.

The Taiz Cauldron. October 11, 2026
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin

[ColonelCassad] By nightfall, the defense of the city of Al-Misrakh had collapsed. Fighting is already raging on the outskirts of Taiz, where the defeated Saudi units are retreating. There is no way out.

The Houthis are offering the option of surrendering their weapons and being allowed to enter Aden to avoid serious destruction in the city. Some interventionist units have already taken this option.

Riyadh Airport suspended operations after arrivals at Terminals 3 (15 killed, 309 wounded) and 4 (1 US citizen killed and 15 wounded, including Russian citizens). Air defenses were unable to provide cover, and apparently will not be able to. The Houthis warn that international airlines fly into the combat zone in Saudi airspace at their own risk—their safety is not guaranteed. The safety of passengers at Saudi airports is also not guaranteed.

The only exception is the Mecca and Medina areas. Overall, I would not recommend Russian citizens visiting Saudi Arabia in the near future. Saudi Arabia, through Oman and China, is asking the Houthis to agree to a ceasefire. The Houthis have so far refused and are demanding a complete end to the blockade of Yemen and the withdrawal of occupation forces from the country.

Iraq
Iraq launches two airstrikes on ISIS hideout in Diyala near Iran border
[Rudaw] Iraqi F-16 fighter jets carried out two Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...

...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) hideout in Diyala province late Sunday, destroying the site as concerns grow over the group’s movements in areas where security gaps persist between Iraqi forces and Kurdish Peshmerga.

The Security Media Cell said in a statement late Sunday that the strikes targeted a hideout belonging to ISIS remnants in the Narin area, within the Diyala Operations Command.

The hideout was "completely destroyed," the cell said, adding that the operation was conducted based on "accurate and verified intelligence" provided by the Directorate of Military Intelligence, in coordination with the Air Reconnaissance and Surveillance Center under the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

The strikes come amid renewed warnings about increased ISIS activity in disputed areas between Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region, particularly following the withdrawal of the US-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS from Iraq on September 30.

President Masoud Barzani warned before the US withdrawal on September 30 that there were no guarantees that ISIS would not re-emerge.
And yet you demanded that America leave. Now fighting ISIS is all on you. Enjoy.
Mazen Gharib, a member of the Iraqi parliament’s Security and Defense Committee, told Rudaw’s Gashaw Khalid on Saturday that ISIS movements had intensified around Daquq and Hawija in Kirkuk province, where the group maintains active detachments.

He warned that the turbans were exploiting the withdrawal of foreign forces to move more freely, while questioning the effectiveness of Iraqi military aircraft in deterring the group.

Gharib said ISIS turbans were "only afraid of US and French warplanes because those aircraft fly at very high altitudes and are quiet. However,
it was a brave man who first ate an oyster...
because Iraqi planes fly low and make noise, the turbans easily detect them and hide."

However,
it was a brave man who first ate an oyster...
Major General Yahya Rasool, spokesperson for Iraq’s Ministry of Defense, dismissed the prospect of a repeat of the security collapse that accompanied ISIS’s territorial expansion in 2014.

"What happened in 2014 is impossible to repeat," Rasool told Rudaw on Saturday, citing Iraq’s enhanced military capabilities and advanced drone technology.

ISIS seized large swathes of Iraqi territory in 2014 before being declared territorially defeated in 2017. The group has since continued to carry out bombings, hit-and-run attacks and abductions across several Iraqi provinces.

The coalition formally concluded its 12-year military mission in Iraq on September 30 under an agreement between Baghdad and Washington, with Iraqi officials describing the withdrawal as a step toward restoring national illusory sovereignty while security challenges persist in disputed territories.

(KDPI), in Erbil province's Koya district on Monday, causing material damage but no casualties, a senior party official and a security source told Rudaw English, as Kurdish politicians gathered in Erbil for a regional forum.

"At 12:05, a drone struck the Azadi camp in Koya," the KDPI official said, speaking on the condition of anonymity. They added that "there were no injuries or anything, only material damage."

The official said the camp had been evacuated before the attack and no one remained at the site. A security source also confirmed to Rudaw English a second drone attack on the same site.

"This is the 166th time the Islamic Theocratic Republic has attacked the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI)," the party official said, referring specifically to attacks against the party rather than other Iranian Kurdish opposition groups.

The strike came hours after KDPI spokesperson Khalid Azizi told Rudaw that the party had ruled out sending Peshmerga fighters from the Kurdistan Region into western Iran to conduct military operations, reiterating its commitment not to use Iraqi territory as a launchpad for attacks against Tehran, a pretext used by Iran to attack the Iranian Kurdish groups in the Region since the outbreak of its war with the US in late February.

"We have discussed this with both the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Regional Government. We have decided and pledged that we will not turn Iraqi Kurdistan or Iraq into a rear front," Azizi told Rudaw early Monday.

The attack also coincided with the gathering of senior Iraqi and Kurdish politicians, diplomats and regional policymakers in Erbil for the annual Middle East Research Institute (MERI) Forum, during which discussions on regional security, political deadlock, Kurdish rights and the future of the Middle East would be held.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
One killed, children among 24 injured after unexploded Hezbollah cluster bomb detonates in North
[Jpost] Northern District police officers and bomb disposal experts responded to the incident, which was declared a mass-casualty event by the IDF.

IDF soldiers evacuate maimed victims into a military helicopter after unwent kaboom! Hezbollah ordnance detonated in northern Israel, October 12, 2026.
A 14-year-old boy was killed, and 24 people were maimed in a kaboom involving an unwent kaboom! Hezbollah cluster munition between Kibbutz Manara and Kibbutz Yiftah in northern Israel on Monday, the IDF reported. The military has declared the incident a mass-casualty event.

Students and staff members from the ORT Ma’alot Yeshiva High School were among the victims, according to a statement by the local municipality. Haifa’s Rambam Health Care Campus said it admitted three teenagers and one adult to the trauma unit after evacuating them from the scene, while Safed’s Ziv Medical Center is treating 14 injured victims in total. Nahariya’s Galilee Medical Center is treating an additional six victims, one of whom was maimed.

The municipality noted that the students were in the area on an annual field trip, with the Israel Fire and Rescue Authority saying that a preliminary investigation showed evidence that one of the students put the Hezbollah cluster munition into his bag, which later detonated. According to Magen David Adom, two of those seriously injured were 14 years old, with eight of those moderately injured being children, as well as 12 of those with minor injuries.

PARENTS OF VICTIM: CHILDREN WERE PRAYING TOGETHER WHEN EXPLOSION OCCURED
Parents of several of the victims said that the students were in the middle of praying together when the earth-shattering kaboom occured, which contributed to the large number of casualties.

"My son called first, and we guided him on how to apply a tourniquet to himself," said Dvir Klein, father to victim Itay Klein, who suffered a leg injury. "The boys showed amazing responsibility."

"I believe the war of the past three years has prepared both the medical teams and us, the civilians," he added. "This includes the awareness shown by the teenagers, who took responsibility in an amazing way."

Klein noted that, while his son told him one of the students had touched the unwent kaboom! ordnance, he believed "it is right for the accurate, true facts to be known, rather than just my son's account."

"I think it is appropriate for those who have the full, correct information to share it with the families and the injured, not me," he emphasized.

MDA PERSONNEL RECOUNT EXPERIENCES AT SCENE OF EXPLOSION
An MDA medical technician at the scene of the earth-shattering kaboom said he witnessed children holding and assisting their injured friends when he arrived.

"Everyone tried to help their friends as best they could," he said. "Some even applied tourniquets to their friends to stop the bleeding."

MDA paramedics described the chaos on scene, with one noting the variety of injuries among the victims.

"There was a great deal of commotion and shouting at the scene," he recalled. "We found several casualties with varying degrees of injury lying on the access path from the main road, while others were walking around the area."

An operations center staffed by social workers and psychologists has been set up in the area "to provide care for the students," Ma’alot Mayor Moti Ben-David told Army Radio later on Monday. A bus was sent to collect non-injured students at the scene.

An additional site to treat victims suffering from shock was set up at Ziv Medical Center, including a dedicated team for the treatment of children and teenagers, according to the Health Ministry.

IDF kills five Hamas, PIJ terrorists in separate Gaza strikes
[Jpost] The IDF killed five Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists in separate airstrikes in the southern Gaza Strip on Sunday and Monday, the military announced on Tuesday.

Three of the terrorists, members of PIJ's military wing, were killed in a strike in the Khan Yunis area on Sunday while meeting to plan attacks against IDF troops, according to the military.

The IDF identified the three as Muhammad Abu Hajjaj, an engineering operative; Yousef Abu Razak, a deputy squad commander; and Abdelhamid Jadallah, a member of the organization's rocket unit.

In a separate airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip on Monday, the IDF killed two members of Hamas's elite Nukhba unit, identified as Salah al-Din Iyad Abd al-Hamid and Izz al-Din Iyad Diab Barhoum.
Both terrorists belonged to the Rafah Brigade of Hamas's military wing, the IDF said.

early Monday after button men attacked a cop shoppe in the restive Sistan and Baluchestan province, as weeks of escalating violence have prompted an IRGC-linked news agency to accuse Pakistain of failing to prevent cross-border krazed killer attacks.

"Armed men attacked the Mortan police post in the Parud district of Rask county. Local sources said heavy festivities broke out between the assailants and forces stationed at the post, with both sides exchanging fire," Haalvsh, a human rights
...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty...
organization monitoring developments in the Baloch region, reported.

There were no immediate reports of casualties from Monday’s attack, and no group had grabbed credit. State media did not report the attack.

The latest confrontation comes amid a wave of attacks against Iranian security forces in the southeastern province, which borders Pakistain and Afghanistan.

More than a dozen Iranian military and police personnel were killed or maimed in four attacks over a 24-hour period last week, according to Haalvsh.

The deteriorating security situation comes as Tehran faces mounting military and economic pressure from Washington, with renewed attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz raising fears of further escalation.

"At least 17 attacks against tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding waterways since Sept 28, and at least two confirmed hailing incidents all linked to Iran," Noam Raydan, a senior fellow at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy which tracks attacks in the Strait of Hormuz, reported on Sunday.

US forces have also carried out repeated strikes against Iranian military installations, including targets in the southeastern coastal cities of Chabahar and Konarak in July, according to US Central Command.

Monday's attack followed the killing on Friday of Lieutenant Colonel Nosrat Eftekhari Poudineh, deputy for cultural and social affairs at the Sistan and Baluchestan provincial police command.

Eftekhari was killed when a roadside kaboom went kaboom! near a police vehicle travelling through the Cheshmeh Ziarat area outside Zahedan, the scenic provincial capital.

Her killing prompted condemnation from senior Iranian officials, including President Masoud Pezeshkian, who called on security forces to swiftly identify and punish those responsible.

On Sunday, Tasnim, a news agency linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), published an editorial accusing Pakistain of failing to take effective measures against gangs operating along the border.

"The main issue in assessing Pakistain’s performance is not the number of official meetings or joint statements, but the results of its security measures," the Tasnim news agency stated.

It questioned whether Islamabad had prevented krazed killer groups from using Pak territory to launch attacks against Iran and whether security cooperation had resulted in a lasting reduction in violence.

The agency argued that repeated promises and security agreements were insufficient without tangible results on the ground, including dismantling krazed killer networks, eliminating safe havens and disrupting logistical support.

Relations between Iran and Pakistain have long been strained by gangs operating along their roughly 900-kilometer border.

Tensions escalated dramatically in January 2024 when Iran launched missiles and drones into Pakistain on January 16, targeting what Tehran described as bases belonging to Jaish al-Adl, a Sunni Baloch krazed killer organization.

Pakistain retaliated on January 18, carrying out Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s against suspected Baloch separatist hideouts inside Iran. At least nine people were killed in the Pak strikes, according to the News Agency that Dare Not be Named.

Both countries subsequently moved to restore diplomatic relations and strengthen border security cooperation and even Pakistain have played as a main mediator in brokering talks between the US and Iran following the six week war which began on February 28.

The latest violence has also claimed the lives of senior IRGC and intelligence officials.

On September 23, Baloch bandidos turbans killed IRGC Brigadier General Hossein Zarifi, commander of the Shahid Sajjad Operational Base in Saravan, and Ahmad Herat
...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns...
i Zera'ati, the base's intelligence chief, during heavy fighting in the area.

Responsibility for several recent attacks has been claimed by the People's Fighters Front, a coalition of Baloch armed and political groups formed on December 10, 2025, to coordinate their struggle against the Islamic Theocratic RepublicThe coalition brings together Jaish al-Adl, the PADA Baloch Movement, the Nasr Movement of Baluchestan, the Mohammad Rasulullah group and other Baloch fighters.

In its founding document, the coalition called for unity among opponents of Iran's holy manal establishment and outlined its opposition to the political system based on velayat-e faqih, or guardianship of the Islamic jurist.

"We all know that the despotic rule of the velayat-e faqih is a problem for all the people of Iran ... for this reason, all the people of Iran need unity of action against the despotic and anti-democratic structure of the velayat-e faqih in order to free themselves from it," the coalition declared in a statement.

Jaish al-Adl, the coalition's most prominent armed component, emerged around 2012 following the weakening of Jundullah, a Sunni Baloch krazed killer organization that had carried out deadly attacks against Iranian security forces and civilians since 2003.

Jundullah's leader, Abdulmalek Rigi, was captured by Iranian intelligence in February 2010 and executed four months later. Jaish al-Adl subsequently emerged as a successor organization, continuing armed operations in the predominantly Sunni Baloch areas of southeast Iran.

The United States designated Jundullah a foreign terrorist organization in 2010 and formally included Jaish al-Adl under the designation in 2019.

Iranian authorities regard Jaish al-Adl and the broader Baloch coalition as serious national security threats and have repeatedly accused Washington and Israel of supporting gangs seeking to destabilise the country.

In its Sunday's editorial, Tasnim described Jaish al-Adl, which it calls Jaish al-Zolm, or the Army of Injustice, as an illegitimate creation of the US and Israel. The article did not provide verifiable evidence of direct US or Israeli support for the group.

Sistan and Baluchestan is among Iran's poorest and most marginalized provinces, where longstanding grievances over economic deprivation, discrimination and the treatment of the predominantly Sunni Baloch population have fueled resentment towards Tehran.

The province was also the scene of one of the deadliest crackdowns during Iran's nationwide protests in 2022. On September 30 that year, Iranian security forces opened fire on protesters and worshippers in Zahedan in what became known as Bloody Friday. Amnesty International documented at least 66 people killed that day, with more deaths recorded in the aftermath.

The continued attacks, despite repeated security operations and the killing of several krazed killer commanders in recent years, highlight the persistent security challenges facing Tehran in the border region and the growing importance of cooperation with Pakistain to prevent further cross-border violence.

Lebanese army seizes 200 kg of explosives from Syria
[North Press] The Lebanese army said on Monday that it had seized around 200 kilograms of explosives in the al-Qasr–Hermel area, which were intended to be smuggled from Syria into Lebanon.

In a statement, the army said its units were continuing to monitor and secure the Lebanese-Syrian border to prevent smuggling and illegal crossings.

The explosives were packed in bags, the statement said. The smugglers fled back into Syria, it added.

The seized materials were handed over to the relevant authorities, while coordination was underway to identify and arrest those involved, according to the army.
