Yemen's Houthis say they attacked Aramco facility in Riyadh with missiles, drones
[Reuters] Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis said on Saturday they had targeted an Aramco facility ‌in the Saudi capital Riyadh with ballistic missiles and drones, saying the attack was in retaliation for Saudi attacks on Yemen's Sanaa and other provinces.

A large plume of smoke and fire was seen rising in the vicinity of an Aramco facility in Riyadh earlier on Saturday, a witness told Reuters.

There was no immediate confirmation from Saudi authorities of an attack on an Aramco facility. Aramco did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The reported ‌attack comes amid escalating hostilities between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis, who have stepped up attacks on Saudi cities and energy infrastructure.

The Houthis said last week they had attacked Saudi Aramco facilities in Yanbu with missiles and drones. Saudi Arabia said at the time that it had intercepted six ballistic missiles fired by the Houthis towards Taif and the Yanbu area, but did not report damage to Aramco facilities.

Libyan Authorities Detain 113 Migrants in Benghazi
[LibyaReview] Libyan authorities have detained 113 migrants of different nationalities in Benghazi’s Zawawa area within 72 hours of receiving complaints from local residents about migrants living in rented homes.

The Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency said residents reported that migrants were staying in several properties rented in what it described as an irregular and unlawful manner.

OPERATION LAUNCHED WITHIN 72 HOURS
Following the complaints, the agency’s Security Operations Department launched a field operation in Zawawa and began clearing several of the rented properties.

The agency said 113 migrants of different nationalities were detained during the operation because they were staying in the area in violation of legal residency procedures.

It did not disclose their nationalities or provide further details about their individual circumstances.

The head of the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency instructed the Investigation Department and the Investigation and Arrest Office to continue following up on complaints and reports received from different areas.

The departments were also ordered to check the legal status of migrants and foreign residents and take the necessary legal measures where violations are identified.

AGENCY SAYS OPERATIONS WILL CONTINUE
The agency said responding to residents’ reports and addressing irregular migration are among its security responsibilities.

It added that field monitoring and coordination with relevant authorities would continue, with the stated aim of enforcing legal procedures and maintaining security and stability.

Arabia
Houthis launched another pre-dawn attack on Jabal Han

Text:

Taiz #SITREP | The Houthis launched another pre-dawn attack on Jabal Han, the mountain overlooking the main highway linking Taiz city with Aden via Al Turbah. Once again, the apparent objective was to disrupt the main ground line of communication (GLOC) into Taiz. The attack failed, with defending forces pushing the Houthis back this morning with close air support.

The latest wave of intense, multi-front fighting in Taiz has now entered its third day. Both sides appear determined to sustain the battle, but so far the homeland defenders around Taiz city are holding their ground.

of launching dozens of strikes on Sanaa on Saturday, while an AFP journalist in Riyadh reported seeing flames and smoke coming from an oil facility on the outskirts of the Saudi capital.

Though Saudi officials and the Houthis have not yet commented on the refinery fire, the Iran-backed group has in recent weeks launched attacks on oil facilities in the kingdom as part of the war in Yemen where Riyadh backs the internationally recognized government.

The foes have traded strikes since the Houthis seized all of Yemen’s Red Sea coast and took control of the Bab el-Mandeb strait in a lightning offensive.

Houthi-affiliated channel al-Masirah TV reported that "Saudi enemy aircraft" hit Sanaa with 26 strikes, after earlier reporting "Saudi aggression" against the Yemeni capital, without providing details on the targets or casualties.

Two correspondents in Sanaa reported hearing loud explosions and seeing warplanes firing missiles on the city.

In neighboring Saudi Arabia, flames and smoke were seen rising on Saturday afternoon from a facility belonging to state-owned oil giant Aramco south of Riyadh, an AFP journalist said, although both the Houthis and Saudi authorities had yet to comment.

The circumstances remained unclear, though the Houthis have claimed several attacks on facilities belonging to Aramco, majority-owned by the Saudi state, in recent months.

The journalist reported seeing firefighters attempting to extinguish a blaze at the energy giant’s Riyadh refinery, located south of the capital, while ambulances and police vehicles were stationed near the facility.

The Houthis al-Masirah channel earlier on Saturday also reported missile strikes on the telecommunications network in Yemen’s northwestern governorate of Saada, one of the group’s strongholds.

It comes after the Houthis said that Saudi Arabia bombed the Yemeni capital itself on Thursday night for the first time since renewed fighting broke out between the two sides in July.

BATTLE FOR TAIZ
Fighting in recent days has centred on Taiz, where dozens of combatants were reported killed on Friday by sources on both sides.

The Houthis reported 55 of their fighters had been killed while government sources told AFP that 26 troops had died.

The battle for Taiz is taking place on several fronts, including highlands overlooking coastal areas recently seized by the Houthis.

While the Houthis have conquered swaths of territory, they have yet to wrest control of Taiz city, which is Yemen’s third-largest after Sanaa and Aden.

The Houthis also on Friday said Saudi Arabia had launched 94 strikes against areas under their control in the past 24 hours.

Saudi authorities meanwhile reported a Houthi projectile had damaged a school in the city of Najran

Regional and Western officials told Rooters over the weekend that Saudi Arabia is planning an offensive against the Houthis, with options being considered including a coastal push to secure the Red Sea shipping route or an assault on multiple fronts.

Lithuania Detains 35 Afghan and Iraqi Migrants After Belarus Border Crossing
[KhaamaPress] Lithuanian border guards detained 35 migrants colonists after they crossed into Lithuania from Belarus in the Varėna district, authorities said, as the country continues to monitor irregular migration along its eastern border.

The group was detected Thursday evening near the village of Katra in the Čepkeliai Nature Reserve after a border surveillance system identified the crossing. The migrants colonists split into several groups after entering Lithuania, but border guards detained all 35 before they could move deeper into the country.

The State Border Guard Service (VSAT) said the operation involved a helicopter, service dogs, coppers and personnel from several border-guard units. The helicopter helped locate groups that had dispersed through the forest and marshland.

All 35 detainees were men between about 20 and 30 years old. Eleven had identification documents, while the others had no documents. During questioning, they identified themselves as citizens of Afghanistan and Iraq, according to Lithuanian authorities.

By Friday morning, 29 of the migrants colonists had been denied entry and returned to Belarus under Lithuanian procedures. Questioning of five others was continuing, while another migrant who reported feeling unwell was taken to a medical facility for examination. Authorities said the group did not resist during the detention operation.

The incident took place in a section of the Lithuania-Belarus border where fencing cannot be installed because of unstable ground and difficult natural conditions. Lithuanian border guards therefore rely on surveillance systems and other measures to monitor the area.

Lithuanian authorities said they have prevented 1,661 migrants colonists from entering the country illegally from Belarus at unauthorized locations so far this year. The figure compares with 1,652 such attempts prevented in 2025 and 1,002 in 2024.

The Lithuania-Belarus border has remained a major migration route toward the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
since a wider migration crisis began in 2021. Lithuanian and other EU authorities have repeatedly strengthened border controls and surveillance in response to continued attempts to cross from Belarus.

Israeli airstrike in Gaza City overnight targeted senior Hamas official Ali al-Amoud, Friday 2 PIJ rocket commanders eliminated

Text:

An Israeli airstrike in Gaza City overnight targeted senior Hamas official Ali al-Amoudi, according to a security source, with Palestinian media reporting five people killed.

The strike hit a building in western Gaza City.

Palestinian media reported that those killed included a young man, a mother and her daughter, and two other adult women. Amoudi was not named among the dead.

The IDF has not yet commented on the strike as it assesses the results.

Amoudi has been reported to be a frontrunner to succeed Khalil al-Hayya as head of Hamas’s political bureau in the Gaza Strip. He is currently believed to be the de facto senior-most Hamas political official in the Strip.

The IDF eliminates terrorist commanders in the rocket system of the terrorist Islamic Jihad organization

🔻 Yesterday (Friday), the IDF struck in the city of Gaza and eliminated the terrorist Ahmed Mahmoud Harb al-Ramlawi, who was a commander in the rocket unit of the Shuja'iyya Battalion in the military wing of the terrorist Islamic Jihad organization.

🔻 And in another airstrike in the Gaza City area, the terrorist Munir Ibrahim al-Masri, head of the anti-armor rocket cell in the organization's military wing, was eliminated.

🔸 Throughout the war and in recent times, the two terrorists promoted terrorist plans against IDF forces and citizens of the State of Israel, and worked to rebuild the organization's capabilities, in systematic violation of the ceasefire agreement. They were eliminated in airstrikes.

🔸 Prior to executing the strikes, steps were taken to minimize harm to civilians as much as possible, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance operations.

🔸 IDF forces under the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue operations to remove any immediate threat.

City overnight Friday-Saturday targeted Ali al-Amoudi, the terror group’s de facto leader in the enclave, according to the military, with Paleostinian media reporting five people killed, including a number of women.

It was unclear whether Amoudi was killed.

The strike hit a building in western Gaza City. Paleostinian media reported that among those killed were Maisaa Abu Dawood and her daughter Mary, members of Gaza’s Greek Orthodox church.

Videos circulating online showed a funeral procession for the pair in the Church of Saint Porphyrius in Gaza City on Saturday.

Dr. Yasmin al-Bobo, head of Paleostine University’s multimedia department, and her mother were also identified as victims, along with a 21-year-old man.

Amoudi was not named among the dead in Paleostinian media, though rescue teams were still reportedly searching for additional missing people.

The Israel Defense Forces said that the strike targeted Amoudi while he was residing in an apartment "used for terror activity, inside a residential building," and that it took steps to "minimize harm to civilians as much as possible."

"This is further evidence of the Hamas
..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
terror group’s hiding among the civilian population and its cynical use of them as human shields and to advance terrorist plots," the army said.

Amoudi, a close confidant of slain Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, was released from Israeli prison in the 2011 Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange — the same deal that saw Sinwar freed — and later ran Sinwar’s office before heading Hamas’s media apparatus.

Amoudi has emerged as a central figure following the killing of senior Hamas leaders, and now effectively manages the terror group’s affairs in the Strip, particularly the work of its political bureau.

The IDF, in its statement, identified Amoudi as the deputy chairman of Hamas’s political bureau in Gaza, saying he had served as former Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar’s "right-hand man and personal aide, and was involved in decision-making for the October 7 massacre."

The military said that in 1993, Amoudi was involved in the murder of four Israelis in the West Bank, and in 1994, was involved in an incident in Ramallah in which Shin Bet agent Noam-Menachem Cohen was killed.

"Today, Amoudi is the most senior Hamas figure in the Gaza Strip and is directly involved in Hamas terror activity and in rebuilding the group for war," the army said, adding that he was targeted to "remove the threat."

, was elected overall leader of Hamas in July, prompting the group to hold a separate internal election to replace him as its political chief in Gaza.

That contest has yet to produce a winner. The first round between Amoudi and Hamas official Nizar Awadallah reportedly ended inconclusively after some voters submitted blank ballots, and a runoff was subsequently suspended after Awadallah challenged aspects of the voting process.

commanders were killed in separate strikes in Gaza City the day prior.

One strike killed Ahmed Mahmoud Harb Ramlawi, who, according to the IDF, served as a commander in the rocket unit of Islamic Jihad’s Shejaiya Battalion.

A second strike killed Munir Ibrahim Masri, a commander of an Islamic Jihad anti-tank squad, the army said.

Both terror operatives had been advancing attacks on troops and Israeli civilians and were attempting to restore Islamic Jihad capabilities, "in systematic violation of the ceasefire agreement," the IDF said in a statement.

The weekend strikes came after the military said it killed two Hamas members in separate strikes throughout the week.

The targets were identified by the military as Izz al-Din al-Bik, who had overseen the holding of at least 15 Israeli hostages during the war and took part in the Hamas-led October 7, 2023, onslaught, as well as Tamer Hamaida, who served as a sniper in Hamas’s military wing.

Over 74,200 people have been killed in Gaza since Hamas’s October 7 attacks, including more than 1,400 since an October 2025 ceasefire, according to the Hamas-run health ministry in the enclave, although the toll does not differentiate between combatants and civilians.

The Israeli military believes that Hamas’s overall toll is largely accurate, with IDF officials estimating that two to three non-combatants were killed for every dead terror operative.

The IDF says it has killed over 24,000 combatants in Gaza and another 1,200 hard boyz inside Israel during the October 7 onslaught.

Iran Secretly Executes Afghan Citizen on Espionage Charge in Karaj, Rights Groups Say
[KhaamaPress] Iranian authorities secretly executed a 42-year-old Afghan national on an espionage charge at Karaj Central Prison, according to the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights.

Tourat Mohammadi, a native of Mazar-e-Sharif and father of four, was executed on September 23, according to information obtained by the two rights organizations. His execution was reportedly carried out without prior notification to his family or lawyer.

Hengaw said Mohammadi had previously worked for an organization affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). He was arrested about two years ago and spent seven months in an IRGC intelligence detention facility, where he was interrogated before being sentenced to death on espionage charges.

Human Rights said Mohammadi was transferred to Karaj Central Prison six days before his execution. The organization said he was denied a final visit with his wife and children. It also said Iranian state media and official institutions had not announced the execution at the time of its report.

The groups did not provide details establishing which country Mohammadi was allegedly accused of spying for. Iran Human Rights said he was the 16th person executed in Iran in 2026 on espionage-related charges. It reported that 14 of those cases involved allegations of espionage for Israel or the United States, while two Iraqi nationals were accused of spying for an unidentified Arab country.

Iran detains 31 people over alleged plot to instigate unrest
[Rudaw] Iran’s intelligence ministry announced on Saturday the arrest of 31 people in the southern province of Kerman for allegedly plotting to instigate nationwide unrest in response to calls from abroad.

The ministry said in a statement that those detained were members of four networks and “mercenaries of the US-Israeli enemy,” according to the semi-official Tasnim news agency.

“They had specific duties and plans for actively participating in nationwide calls for protests,” the ministry said without identifying those detained, adding that “the operatives had also carried out widespread violent and destructive acts during the January 2026 unrest.”

Iranians took to the streets in December 2025 to protest a severe economic crisis, with demonstrations later spreading across much of the country and demands expanding to include fundamental changes to the Islamic Republic’s political system.

The US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency HRANA documented 7,007 confirmed deaths during the first 50 days of the unrest, including 6,488 protesters and 236 children, while another 11,744 cases remained under review.

Iran has tightened security across the country since the protests amid concerns over renewed unrest as the country faces deep economic strain, with the cost of living soaring and the national currency plunging amid government mismanagement, sanctions and war.
