Blagoveshchensk, September 29, 2026, 6:22 PM — Regnum News Agency. The pilots of the Tu-95 bomber-missile carrier that crashed in the Amur Region did everything they could to divert the plane away from residential buildings. This was reported by the regional government on September 29.
"A Tu-95 military aircraft made an emergency landing during a training flight near Krasnoyarovo. The crew did everything possible to divert the aircraft away from residential buildings," the statement read.
Search and rescue operations are currently ongoing at the site of the missile carrier's crash. The circumstances and causes of the plane crash are being determined.
A Tu-95 crashed during a training exercise in the Mazanovsky District on September 29, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported. The military aircraft crashed in an uninhabited area. Six crew members were killed, and another was injured and hospitalized. The aircraft itself caught fire upon impact.
