The news website further reported that Salem was a only holder of a technical diploma, which is equivilant to a vocational training diploma.
The case is the second of its kind after earlier this week after a New York deli worker, Hatem al-Jamasi, was hosted on Egyptian media as a US based political analyst specializing on Middle East issues.
Salem admitted to Masrawy that he only has a technical diploma, adding that after he attained it, he read several books to gain knowledge and appear on TV through his connections with some program producers.
He also said that he was on the verge of presenting a program about human development and fourth generation warfare on a private television channel.
His television appearances made him famous in his town of Minya.
In June 2016, security forces enjugged Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un! a fraud who appeared on Egyptian television channels claiming he was a security and technical expert who worked in the government.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Bahrain’s Foreign Minister told the United Nations ...a formerly good idea gone bad... General Assembly that his country took action against Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates... over the latter’s support and financing of terrorism.
"Unfortunately, terrorism has become a tool of nations who use it to destabilize the world. We call for deterrence of states and organizations who support terrorism," Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa told world leaders at the UN in New York on Saturday.
Al-Khalifa said that Bahrain, Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... , UAE and Egypt had every sovereign right to take the decision to sever ties with Qatar after patiently waiting for their actions to change, pointing out that Doha supported terrorist acts in the Kingdom of Bahrain to overthrow the regime.
The Bahraini foreign minister also talked about how the Iranian people are suffering from misery by using their government’s use of their resources to support terrorism, accusing Tehran of supporting terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah, adding that normal relations with Iran depend on the latter halting all its support for terrorism in the region.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Speaking at the United Nations ...a formerly good idea gone bad... 72nd General Assembly in New York, Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... ’s Foreign Minister reiterated the Anti-Terror Quartet ... The Quartet are the UN (xylophone), the United States (alto), the European Union (soprano), and Russia (shortstop). It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. Saudi FM Adel al-Jubeir also spoke on the ongoing crisis in Yemen, in which he said that the Houthi ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ... militia takeover of the country with support from Iran represents a threat to the region.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] New details on the murder of Orouba Barakat and her daughter Hala in Istanbul have emerged among Syrian activists on Friday evening.
Barakat and Hala were stabbed to death. Ottoman Turkish police found their bodies in their apartment in Istanbul’s area of Uskudar. The police, however, has not issued any information about the murder yet.
Syrian sources from Istanbul said that the victims most likely knew their killer or killers. This is deduced because their place of residence showed no signs of a break-in.
New details reveal that the perpetrators deliberately knocked on the door in a conventional manner, then entered and strangled Barakat and Hala. Following the break-in, they stabbed the women with a knife.
After concluding their murder spree, they poured detergent liquid over their bodies to prevent any smell from exposing them and their crime before securing a hideout.
When Orouba’s sister, Shaza Barakat, accused the Syrian regime of assassinating Orouba, some Syrian activistis pointed out that it may be possible that the culprits are members of the Moslem Brüderbund. The activists believe so because Orouba was very critical of the Brotherhood’s actions and approaches to the Syrian case.
Orouba is a Syrian activist who opposed the Assad regime. She was a member of the opposition national council and was a well-known as a supporter of the revolution and as a critic of opposition institutions. Her daughter Hala was a journalist in the Syrian Orient institution.

[DAWN] IN her book, The Struggle for Pakistain: A Moslem Homeland and Global Politics, Ayesha Jalal writes about Gen Agha Muhammad Yahya Khan, who imposed martial law after replacing Gen Ayub Khan in March 1969 as president of Pakistain when the latter was forced out by street protests, that Yahya was a "boisterous fellow and determined drunkard [and] had a penchant for cavorting with abandon". Perhaps many would still remember Yahya for what Jalal calls his "nocturnal activities", since they "were the talk of the nation", and ’General Rani’ became part of what she calls "elite gossip".
However, today is that tomorrow you were thinking about yesterday... it is more probable that today Yahya Khan is remembered for two extraordinary developments that took place under his watch: the elections of 1970, and the subsequent massacre in East Pakistain, leading to the separation of the latter and the creation of Bangladesh. He played a key role in both events. Of course, Yahya, even if indeed he was perpetually inebriated, was not the lone player in what happened in 1970-71. Two other actors, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] In late May, an Iraqi holy man called Akram Kaabi visited militia fighters in a desolate Iraqi town near the Syrian border. Kaabi, who heads a Shiite Moslem militia named Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba, was decked out in a camouflage uniform and led the fighters in prayer on mats laid on the dusty ground. A video of the session showed heavily armed holy warriors standing guard.
The event took place in Qayrawan, a town the Nujaba militia had seized back from ISIS, the radical Sunni Moslem group. Nujaba, whose name means ’the Virtuous,’ have also fought across the border in Syria, where they have lent support to Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad Despoiler of Deraa... in the fight against ISIS and others.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Iraqi Kurdish leader Massud Barzani on Saturday delayed a scheduled news conference on a controversial independence referendum he has called for next week as international pressure mounts for a postponement.
There has been uncertainty about whether the vote will go ahead on Monday as Iraq’s key allies the United States and Iran, as well as powerful neighbor The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire.... , have stepped up their opposition.
"The news conference will take place on Sunday and the time and venue will be announced later," Barzani’s office said without elaborating. On Friday, the Iraqi Kurdish leader had insisted that the vote would be held as planned, despite a warning from the UN Security Council that it was "potentially destabilizing."
"The referendum is no longer in my hands, nor is it in those of the (political) parties -- it is in your hands," Barzani told a large crowd at a football stadium in Arbil, capital of the autonomous Kurdish region. But behind the scenes negotiations are still taking place aimed at persuading Barzani to postpone any referendum, according to officials close to the discussions.
Iran and Turkey both have sizeable Kurdish populations of their own and fear the vote will stoke separatist aspirations at home. The federal government in Baghdad is also opposed to the referendum, which it has called unconstitutional.
On Thursday, the UN Security Council urged "dialogue and compromise" to address differences between the Iraqi government and the regional authorities.
It also said the vote could weaken the military campaign against ISIS "in which Kurdish forces have played a critical role."
Baghdad this week launched offensives to oust ISIS from the last two pockets it controls in Iraq.

[APNEWS] Senior American and Russian military leaders met for an unprecedented, face-to-face session somewhere in the Middle East this week to discuss the growing tensions in the competing battles to retake one of the remaining Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... strongholds in Syria.
Syrian government forces, Russian special forces and U.S.-backed Lions of Islam are all battling IS around the oil-rich Deir el-Zour province. The talks are aimed at ensuring safety for all the different fighting elements.
The meeting, however, also suggests an expanded U.S. and Russian effort to coordinate their efforts, raising questions about how the Pentagon is adhering to an American prohibition against military-to-military cooperation with Moscow. Congress enacted that law in the wake of Russia’s annexation of the Crimea region of Ukraine in 2014.
Army Col. Ryan Dillon told Pentagon news hounds on Thursday that U.S. and Russian general officers shared maps, graphics and information about where their forces are battling around Deir el-Zour. He would not provide details on when or where the meeting occurred, beyond saying it took place in recent days somewhere in the region.
Dillon said he was withholding the location of the meeting because there may be follow-up talks. He didn’t say who was present or how long it lasted.
Asked Thursday about the growing turbulence with the Russians, Defense Secretary Jim Mattis told news hounds, "I am not worried, we continue to deal with the Russians in a collaborative way, we’ll sort this out."
U.S. officials in the past, however, have shied away from using words like collaborate and coordinate, to avoid the appearance of any military-to-military relationship with Russia that would cross the congressional line.
