Saudi Arabia later confirmed that the Houthis had fired a ballistic missile at Riyadh at dawn, but said its air force had "successfully intercepted and destroyed" it.
The US embassy alert noted that the Houthis have targeted civilian airports in the past, and that "the military conflict has the potential to escalate rapidly."
"Americans traveling to or from the region should monitor information about airport and airline operations," the security alert stated, adding that both the embassy in Jerusalem and the branch office in Tel Aviv were operating as normal.
The US Embassy in Israel has issued similar alerts several times in recent months due to the war with Iran, but this appeared to be the first published due to fighting between Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

[Reuters] Yemen's Houthis said they attacked "sensitive" sites in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Saturday with missiles and drones, hours after flames and a large plume of smoke were seen near the city's main airport.
Saudi Arabia had sent alerts overnight warning of potential danger around Riyadh, amid an escalation in attacks by the Houthis in the kingdom.
Reuters video and photographs showed a huge pillar of black smoke rising in the area, with the airport highway, main terminal building and other facilities in the foreground. At one point in the video, flames were visible rising from behind what appeared to be fuel tanks.
While the Iranian-backed Houthis have launched repeated attacks against Saudi Arabia since July, Saturday's claim appeared to be their first reported strike on Riyadh since the current escalation began.
The Houthis did not specify what they had targeted in Riyadh, but said they had also attacked an Aramco facility in the Red Sea city of Yanbu, a key Saudi oil export hub.
They said the operation came as a response to an attack in the Yemeni capital Sanaa.
The Saudi-led military coalition fighting the Houthis said its air defences had destroyed a missile fired by the Yemeni group toward Riyadh early on Saturday.
In a statement, the coalition also said it had foiled attacks targeting civilians in the Saudi cities of Bish and Farasan in the southwest and Taif in the west, as well as Yanbu on the Red Sea coast. It did not say whether there was any damage.
Saudi civil defence sent the alerts by phone overnight for potential danger of aerial attacks in Riyadh and the city of Al-Kharj east of the capital, before issuing an all-clear on Saturday morning. A Reuters journalist in Riyadh's Olaya area heard booms before the all-clear was sent.
Although some alerts had been issued in Riyadh this year after the start of the US-Iran war, these were the first since the escalation with the Houthis began in July.

[IsraelTimes] The US Military says it killed four people in a strike on a vessel in the Caribbean on Saturday, alleging that the vessel was involved in drug trafficking.
“Confirmed intelligence revealed the vessel’s active involvement in narco-trafficking,” the military’s Southern Command posts on X.

Thousands of Dutch Christian pro-Israel demonstrators participated in a "Stand Up for Israel" solidarity rally at Dam Square in Amsterdam on Thursday.
Dozens of pro-Paleostinian protesters gathered in the area as well, defying a municipal ban on counterprotests.
Some of the main speakers at the pro-Israel rally, organized by Christians for Israel, included Dutch Chief Rabbi Binyamin Jacobs along with Chris Stoffer, who heads the conservative Reformed Political Party.
According to Dutch media, 45 pro-Paleostinian activists were arrested after they disrupted the event at Dam Square, and 13 people remained in jug. The Dutch public prosecution service was set to decide whether to bring charges against the counterprotesters for defying the ban.
During the rally, a massive Paleostinian flag was reportedly unfurled from the balcony of an H&M store near the square.
Footage showed several pro-Israel protesters pulling down the flag to cheers from the rallying crowd, as police looked on.
Israeli ambassador to the Netherlands Zvi Vapni shared on X a video of his recorded message at the pro-Israel event, thanking the crowd for their support.
"Thousands of our Christian friends gathered tonight at Dam Square in Amsterdam to show their support for Israel. Truth will prevail over lies, and courage over intimidation. I thanked them for this amazing evening in a short video message," he tweeted.

[Dawn] Security forces have killed 11 turbans in separate operations in Panjgur and Chagai districts of Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. In Panjgur’s Gowargo area, security forces neutralised five turbans and recovered a large quantity of weapons and ammunition from their possession, according to the report.

Another 36 turbans were eliminated during multiple "high-tempo" operations conducted in Mastung, Quetta, Kalat and Sibi districts, the Inter-Services Public Relations said on September 4. These also included thwarting an attack on a cop shoppe in Sibi’s Bhag area.
On Thursday, seven bad boyz were potted by security forces in an IBO in the Badrang area of Balochistan’s Awaran district.
On Friday, security forces killed seven turbans during two IBOs in the province’s Panjgur and Kachhi districts.
Police said on Saturday that an overnight clearance operation following the deadly two-pronged assault near a mosque in Kohat district’s old Police Lines had been completed, saying that a total of eight bad boyz were potted.
After detonating an explosives-laden vehicle near a mosque in old Police Lines during Friday prayers, bully boyz stormed the compound and attacked police facilities, martyring at least 21 and injuring over 100.
The corpse count rose to 23 on Saturday, including 17 coppers and six civilians, police and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) officials confirmed.
In an official handout, KP police said on Saturday that eight bad boyz were potted in retaliatory action by police and security forces.
It said that the operation had concluded, adding that Elite Force commandos, CTD teams, and security forces had cleared key parts of the buildings.
According to the statement, KP Inspector General (IG) Zulfiqar Hameed was present at the scene. It added that the operation was led by the CTD additional IG, the Kohat regional police officer and the Kohat district police officer. It said that the Kohat general officer commanding was also present.
A CTD statement earlier said that its additional IG was injured in a grenade attack by bully boyz during the operation. According to the statement, the bully boyz had entered the Special Branch building after the suicide kaboom on the mosque.
The statement said the CTD additional IG had been on the frontline since Friday afternoon, supervising the ongoing operation against Fitna al-Khawarij along with police personnel.

It said the additional IG sustained a hand injury in a grenade attack carried out by the bully boyz during the operation. After receiving first aid, he returned to the frontline to supervise the operation and boost the morale of the personnel, the statement added.
While the KP police stated the number of bully boyz killed as eight, a statement by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi put it at seven.
RELIEF EFFORTS CONCLUDE
Rescue 1122 also completed its relief and rescue operation on Saturday, with 24 vehicles — including ambulances, rescue vehicles and recovery vehicles — taking part in the efforts.
In a statement, Rescue 1122 said Kohat District Emergency Officer Noorul Amin Khattak monitored the rescue operation, in which more than 60 personnel took part.
Rescuers and vehicles from other districts, including Karak and Hangu, also assisted in the relief efforts.

Funeral prayers for 15 of the martyred police personnel were offered in Kohat on Friday evening, after which their bodies were transported to their native districts of Kohat, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Bannu and Mardan in Rescue 1122 ambulances.

Following a review of intelligence, the IDF and Shin Bet say that Nael Abu Obeid “was involved in the abduction and holding of IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians for years and during the war.”
In 2014, Abu Obeid was the deputy commander of the Rafah Brigade. During that time, he took part in holding the body of Goldin, an officer with the Givati Brigade, whose body was only returned last year.
During the current war, the military says Abu Obeid held several hostages, including tank soldier Sgt. 1st Class Nimrod Cohen, in a major tunnel system under Rafah.
[IsraelTimes] Syrian authorities say they arrested a leader of a cell involved in the deaths of three security force personnel during an anti-jihadist operation in the south.
“The internal security forces of Daraa province have arrested Walid al-Fallah, one of the main leaders of the cell involved” in the deaths of the personnel in the town of Al-Sanamein in Daraa province, state news agency SANA reports.
The security force members were killed as they were attempting to arrest a member of the Islamic State (IS) group, a local government official had told AFP.
The group has been territorially defeated in Syria but maintains sleeper cells.
Interior ministry spokesman Noureddine al-Baba says the anti-jihadist operation, which saw five people arrested, “succeeded in dismantling criminal cells and others linked to IS that were coordinating with each other.”
IS used to control vast areas of Syria and neighboring Iraq before being defeated in the two countries in 2019 and 2017, respectively.
However, in Syria it continues to periodically claim attacks against government forces, particularly in the vast desert region, as well as in the north and northeast.

[Rudaw] Iran’s judiciary announced on Saturday that a man accused of spying for Israel and providing information on military and missile sites in the central province of Isfahan during the 12-day war between Iran and Israel has been executed, the latest in a growing number of executions of people accused of spying for Israel.
During the conflict last year, Israel “targeted several sensitive military sites in Iran, and it was later determined that some of these targets had been hit with the cooperation of a small number of alleged agents and people described by Iranian authorities as traitors,” the judiciary-affiliated Mizan news agency reported on Saturday.
The judiciary said that an individual identified as Hossein Pedran had been executed for allegedly being among those “working against Iran by sending sensitive and classified information to US and Israeli intelligence services.”
According to his alleged confessions, he did so for financial gain.

🚨 MYSTERIOUS BLASTS IN SYRIA’S NEW REGIME ARMS DEPOTS
More explosions are tearing through weapons sites controlled by Syria’s new Islamist-led authorities.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says two recent explosions at Defense Ministry-linked weapons facilities in Sarmada and Ayyash left around 54 people killed or wounded. At Ayyash alone, 11 Defense Ministry personnel were killed and 10 injured, with others reported missing.
