[NYPOST] Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson ordered city police not to cooperate with federal agents and military troops as President Trump prepares to flood the area to conduct sweeping immigration raids.
The Democratic mayor, a vocal critic of the president, signed an executive order Saturday directing local law enforcement not to assist immigration agents and the military, including the National Guard, with patrols, arrests or operations if they are deployed to the Windy City.
“We do not have the luxury of time,” Johnson said at a press conference, flanked by other city leaders.

I would check to see what federal funding goes into Chicago for law enforcement.

The states can just ignore the Fed's requests and not aid them and it is legal. Now if they impede or aid illegals... now that is against the law and government officials have been arrested by Trump's DOJ for it.
