[BREITBART] Manhattan, New York City District Attorney Alvin Bragg, with financial ties to billionaire George Soros ...either Ernst Stavro Blofeld or Auric Goldfinger come true... , is defending his office’s freeing without bail a 16-year-old suspect who was captured on video brutally assaulting a New York City Police Department (NYPD) officer.
As Breitbart News reported this week, the suspect was caught on camera in the subway assaulting the officer — putting him in a chokehold, dragging him, and repeatedly punching him in the face.
The suspect had been freed without bail for beating a stranger in a violent mostly peaceful robbery just three days before the attack thanks to New York’s "No Bail" law, first imposed by former Gov. Andrew Sonny Cuomo (D) and supported by sitting Gov. Kathy Hochul (D).
In the attack on the NYPD officer, the suspect was again freed from jail without bail by Bragg’s office, which is now defending the decision in a statement to the Daily Mail.
"Our system must respond to children as children and intensive community monitoring was the appropriate pre-trial determination for a fifteen-year-old child with no previous arrests," Bragg spokeswoman Emily Tuttle said, adding:
Violence against our coppers is unacceptable and given his age at the time of arrest, we consented to send his second case to Family Court as soon as possible, where he would receive the age-appropriate interventions and supports he needs while being held accountable.
Bragg was elected in November 2021 with indirect backing from Soros, who gave $1 million to the Color of Change PAC,
... a 501c4 co-founded in 2005 by Van Jones, Barack Obama’s “green jobs czar,” and former MoveOn.org director James Rucker. It’s one of the Democracy Alliance’s anti-police groups, the Democracy Alliance being yet another secretive group of very, very rich Progressive donors spending to change the world without feeling a need to consult the residents...
which spent to elect Bragg.
Mayor Eric Adams (D) blasted the suspect’s release from jail without bail, calling New York City’s criminal justice system a nationwide "laughingstock" in a presser.
"When I say, ’We are the laughingstock of the country,’ this is what I’m talking about," Adams said of the case. "How do we keep our cities safe when the other parts of the criminal justice system — they have abandoned our public safety apparatus."

The whole idea is to cause chaos. You think they don't know what they're doing? They need to tear apart our society so they can perform their "Great Reset". It's not going to tear itself apart!

I suspect more and more suspects will found to be "DOA" when the police say they arrived. If the DA won't prosecute, there's other methods for dealing with crime.
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] The official front man for Ansarullah Movement, Mohammed Abdulsalam, on Saturday affirmed that the Islamic nation has the right to have its own independent personality, far from any dependency or guardianship.
In a tweet on the Twitter platform Abdulsalam said: "A new Hijri year is coming to the Islamic nation and it is in the midst of a bitter struggle with the forces of arrogance, and it has the right to have its independent personality away from any dependency or guardianship."
He affirmed that the Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... i people, in their liberation battle, are "an essential tributary of pride, inviolability and dignity, and its message is that the nation’s strength is in its unity and its weakness is in its division."

[IsraelTimes] Hussein Qawariq’s family says he had mental disability; military says man failed to respond to warnings; it is probing the incident.
An unarmed Paleostinian man who was shot by Israeli soldiers earlier this week as he approached a military post near Nablus died Saturday.
Hussein Qawariq, 59, from the West Bank village of Awarta, was shot on Tuesday by Israel Defense Forces troops manning a position in Huwara, near Nablus, the military and Paleostinian Authority health ministry said.
Aimed? Why would a man on the cusp of old age suddenly approach Israeli soldiers for the first time?
The IDF said troops called on Qawariq to stop moving toward their location and fired warning shots into the air. When he failed to heed their warnings, he was shot.
Huwara mayor Wajih Odeh told AFP Qawariq was "mentally disabled." He "used to collect bottles and cans from the street and ask for money from businesses in the area," he said.
Qawariq’s family too said he had a "mental disorder," the official Paleostinian news agency Wafa reported.
Qawariq was taken to Rabin Medical Center in Petah Tikva, where he eventually succumbed to his wounds.
The IDF said an investigation into the incident was underway.
[Jpost] Hamas praises terrorist, urges PA security forces to “clash with occupation forces and settlers to defend our people and our land.”
Hamas has called on members of Palestinian Authority security forces in the West Bank to carry out terrorist attacks against settlers and IDF soldiers.
The call came after a Palestinian security officer was shot last week by soldiers as he opened fire at a military position near Nablus.
The IDF said that several armed Palestinians arrived by car at the military post between Nablus and Huwara. One gunman got out of the vehicle and opened fire.
The soldiers returned fire and wounded the assailant, who was taken to an Israeli hospital.
The gunman was identified as Mahmoud Hajeer, 23, an officer with the Palestinian Police from Balata refugee camp near Nablus.
The involvement of the police officer in the shooting attack came amid growing fear that the PA and its security forces are losing control of the situation in the northern West Bank, especially in the areas of Nablus and Jenin.
Palestinian sources said over the weekend that there were signs of increased cooperation between gunmen belonging to Fatah and Palestinian Islamic Jihad in these areas.
Hamas spokesman Abdel Latif al-Qanou praised the officer who carried out the shooting attack and urged all members of the PA security forces to follow suit and “clash with the occupation forces and settlers to defend our people and our land.”
Qanou also called on the members of the PA security services to reject security coordination between the authority and the IDF.
OTHER TERROR GROUPS RESPOND
The PLO’s Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), a secular, Marxist-Leninist terrorist group, called on the PA leadership to turn thousands of its security officers into a “protective shield for our people against settler attacks and a deterrence force against the IDF.”
The DFLP said that changing the duties of the PA security services would “strengthen the cohesion between the people and their security forces.”
Nafez Azzam, a senior Palestinian Islamic Jihad official, said on Friday that the increased number of terrorist attacks in the West Bank have “confused” Israel.
Azzam said that he expected an increase in attacks.
[Jpost] The Security Cabinet voted Sunday to deduct NIS 600 million from tax and tariffs collected for the Palestinians Authority, as it is legally required to do annually, so long as the PA pays terrorists who attacked Israelis.
The amount deducted from tax collected is in a report by the Defense Ministry’s National Bureau for Counter-Terror Financing. It gives the sum of PA funds indirectly supporting terrorism, via the payments that go to Palestinians in Israeli prisons for committing terrorist attacks, or the families of Palestinians killed while attacking Israelis.
TAX DEDUCTIONS
The deduction will be made over the course of the coming 12 months.
The PA’s policy of paying terrorists or their family has been nicknamed “pay for slay,” while the Palestinians call it a “martyrs’ fund.”
Palestinians with longer prison sentences receive higher monthly stipends, such that the more Israelis they kill or maim, the more money the PA pays them.
Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz abstained from Sunday’s Security Cabinet vote, but expressed opposition to the move in the closed-door meeting, saying that cooperation with the PA on security and civil matters is important, and the deduction makes it more difficult.
Horowitz also pointed out that a large part of the deductions in recent years were paid back to the PA in the form of loans.
Transportation Minister Merav Michaeli suggested that Israel negotiate with the PA so it stops paying terrorists, which Alternate Prime Minister Naftali Bennett opposed.
The Finance Ministry deducts the amount the PA pays terrorists and their families each year in accordance with the Pay for Slay Law passed in 2018, which requires the Defense Ministry to provide the Security Cabinet with the requisite information. The cabinet does not, however, have the discretion not to withhold the funds, according to the law.
Israel collects VAT and tariffs on imports to the PA, all of which go through Israeli checkpoints. This arrangement was part of an annex to the Oslo Accords and provides the PA with its largest source of income. Israel also collects income tax and health insurance funds for Palestinians working for Israelis.
Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs senior researcher Brig.-Gen. (res.) Yossi Kuperwasser said that PA President Mahmoud Abbas “has no reason to worry.”
Defense Minister Benny Gantz “will find another arrangement,” Kuperwasser said, just as the Biden administration circumvented the Taylor Force Act, which stops US funding for the PA as long as “pay for slay” remains in place, by donating to UNRWA and Palestinian hospitals.
“Under the empty slogan of strengthening the PA, we allow the Palestinians to take out loans to deduct the deduction and funds the projects that are truly important to them, through which they perpetuate the violent struggle against Zionism,” Kuperwasser said.

Update at 5:30 p.m. EDT: We had two reports of this story on the day it happened, here and here, and no doubt more on the days that followed.
Stash of explosives blow roof off house occupied by three Iranians
Two men fled, but Saedi Moradi staggered out and tried to hail a taxi
Driver refused lift as Moradi covered in blood, so he hurled a grenade
Threw another explosive at police but it bounced off tree and hit his legs
'We know who carried this out and we will settle scores with them', says Israel
Moradi, who was taken to hospital, injured four people in the blasts which come the day after Israeli diplomats were targeted in simultaneous car bombings, also believed to have been carried out by Iranians.
Moradi, who was taken to hospital, injured four people in the blasts which come the day after Israeli diplomats were targeted in simultaneous car bombings, also believed to have been carried out by Iranians.
It is not yet known if yesterday's and today's attacks are linked - but Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak said the Bangkok violence 'proves once again that Iran and its proxies continue to perpetrate terror'.
And public security minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch told Israel Radio: 'We know who carried out the terror attacks, we know who sent them, and Israel will settle the score with them.'
More explosives were found at Moradi's house, in the Ekamai area of central Bangkok, which police say he had been renting with two others.
He is believed to have arrived in Bangkok, from the southern Thai resort of Phuket, on February 8.
Police said security forces at Bangkok's international airport detained a second Iranian later today.
Mohummad Hazaei, one of the men in the house where the explosives first went off, was trying to board a flight for Malaysia. They said a third Iranian - believed wounded in that initial explosion - was also on the run.
Thailand has rarely been a target for foreign terrorists, although a domestic Muslim insurgency in the country's south has involved bombings of civilian targets.
Israel and the U.S. warned their citizens to be alert in the capital, but Thai authorities said the country appeared to have been a staging ground but not the target of any attack.
It comes the day after Israeli diplomats were targeted in simultaneous bomb plots which were also blamed on Iran. It is not known whether the attacks are linked.
A bomb attached magnetically to a car in the Indian capital New Delhi exploded and injured the wife of an Israeli official and two bystanders.
Officials in Georgia said an explosive device was attached to the bottom of a diplomat’s car in the capital Tbilisi, but was found and defused before it detonated.
Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran was behind both incidents, adding that the Islamic republic's Lebanese ally Hezbollah - which battled Israel in a month-long war in 2006 - could have been involved too.
Last month, a Lebanese-Swedish man with alleged links to Hezbollah militants was detained by Thai police. He led authorities to a warehouse filled with more than 4,000kilos of urea fertiliser and several gallons of liquid ammonium nitrate.

This triggered a memory of a Police Academy class on the Radical Weather Underground, with crime scene photos from an explosion at a NYC Brownstone basement. The bomb-maker was walking between two rooms with the device cradled against his chest when he must have hit the doorframe causing the denotation. The blast cleanly decapitated him and the head ended right-side up virtually undamaged above the neck against the wall, the expression one of obvious, momentary puzzlement.
[BenarNews] Efforts to remove and destroy firearms belonging to former Moslem separatist guerrillas — as required by a 2014 peace deal — have failed to make the southern Philippines much safer from gun violence, a conflict monitoring group is reporting.
There has been no proper accounting for the number of weapons that members of the former Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) guerrilla group have turned over and that have been decommissioned, analysts with International Alert Philippines said in presenting findings from their research over the last decade.
Many weapons are still circulating among forces of Evil and civilians in the south, they said.

[An Nahar] Lebanese Forces A Christian political party founded by Bashir Gemayel, who was then bumped off when he was elected president of Leb... leader Samir Geagea ...Geagea was imprisoned by the Syrians and their puppets for 11 years in a dungeon in the third basement level of the Lebanese Ministry of Defense. He was released after the Cedar Revolution in 2005... has again commented sarcastically on the issue of the Iranian fuel grant.
"Lebanese Energy Minister Walid Fayyad has agreed to accept the Iranian fuel grant. Let us await this grant and prepare for electricity in our homes," Geagea tweeted.
Geagea had on Wednesday called on the government to "agree to Sayyed His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah ...The satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb... ’s offer to bring free Iranian fuel to operate the power plants in Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... "I’m not saying this because I believe that this will happen, but rather not to leave the Lebanese people subjected to totally baseless statements," Geagea added.
Separately, Geagea lamented Saturday that "the Higher Judicial Council has not acted, except through formalities, after more than two weeks passed since Archbishop Moussa al-Hajj’s incident happened and more than a year from the violations that were committed by Judge Fadi Akiki."
"The Higher Judicial Council is asked to shoulder its responsibilities as soon as possible to preserve what’s left of the judiciary’s image," Geagea added.
