REPORTS FROM KHOST PROVINCE, TALIBAN FLAGS REMOVED FROM BUILDINGS – Some scattered reports began circulating on social media that cellular communications were down in Khost and that several Taliban administrative buildings were no longer flying the IEA flag. We don’t quite know what to make of these reports and will need additional information before making an assessment.
DRONES ARE IN THE SKIES OVER AFGHANISTAN NEARLY EVERY DAY – Buried in the list of grievances the Minister of Defense, Mullah Yaqoob read off in a recent interview was a curious statement about Afghanistan’s airspace. He demanded that the US stop violating Afghanistan’s airspace and subsequently called on Pakistan to disallow any country the use of its airspace to enter Afghanistan. While reports of drones operating in the skies over Afghanistan have been a constant since the Taliban took the reigns of power, it has faded from public attention. It is doubtful the Taliban know who is operating the drones in its skies. After the failed ISIS-K rocket attacks into both Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in 2022, there were reports that both Uzbek, Tajik and even Russian drones were conducting surveillance and reconnaissance along the border and over the Northern Provinces. A few reports indicated Chinese drones had been spotted over Badakhshan in mid-2022 as well. Obviously, the US has continued to operate in Afghan airspace and will likely continue to do so. There has been no reporting about any attempt to interdict drone flights so it is likely the Taliban do not possess the technology/weaponry to do so at this point in time.
ANOTHER MEMORANDUM ATTRIBUTED TO THE MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR CIRCULATED – A memorandum purportedly issued by the Ministry of the Interior has appeared on social media and warns Taliban security officials that former government employees are now joining terrorist groups. The memorandum concludes by ordering Intelligence and security officers to focus on apprehending these individuals over a twenty-day period. It is important to note that many of the documents shared on social media have turned out to be forgeries.
IRANIAN MEDIA OUTLETS SAY THE FOREIGN MINISTRY HAS BARRED AFGHANS FROM WORKING IN KERMANSHAH PROVINCE – While the information has not been verified by the Ministry in Tehran, the report has circulated on three television channels in Iran. It was not clear if the ban on work may also indicate that a potential deportation operation could follow. At-risk Afghans in the Province should continue to monitor news reports about the situation.

SECURITY CHECKPOINT INSPECTIONS IN KABUL VERY SPECIFIC – Reports indicate that both individual and vehicular security inspections in and around Kabul have been more thorough than in previous months. We assess this increased activity is likely due to the Muharram observance period and the associated threat of an ISIS-K attack
YESTERDAY’S RAINS IN PAKISTAN EXPECTED TO CONTINUE UNTIL 26 JULY – Several urban areas are dealing with significant flooding as a new storm system hit Pakistan on Saturday and is expected to continue until Wednesday. While the heaviest downpours are expected in the North and Central portions of the country, emergency managers are warning that flooding along all major rivers should be expected. Adding to the threat, India is expected to begin emptying several dams that are at capacity which will exacerbate the danger. On the plus side, temperatures which had been scorchingly hot have moderated due to the wind and precipitation. Low-lying areas in cities and along major waterways will be dangerous for the better part of the coming week and should be avoided. Likewise, travel in and around the country will be risky.
The bad boy group al-Shabaab ...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord... has ended the near two-week-long blockade of Baidoa following reports of negotiations with local traders.
Sources in Baidoa say the group released trucks to access the town Friday evening after blocking them since July 11.
Sources noted that a group of traders had opened channels of negotiations with al-Shabaab to allow the movement of goods following an escalating crisis in the town as prices shot up amid an already fragile humanitarian situation.
However, ars longa, vita brevis... a front man for South West state denied there were any talks with AlShabaab over the blockade. Sources say the government was planning an operation at Mooda-Moode, where the bully boyz are reported to have erected barriers.
The Nigerian Army has launched a new military operation in Plateau state, code-named Operation Hakorin Damisa IV.
Hakorin Damisa means leopard’s teeth in English.
According to The PUNCH, launching the operation in the Mangu Local Government Area, the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja on Saturday said the aim was specifically to end the spate of attacks and killings in the LGA and other parts of the state.
In July alone, over 200 people have been killed in sustained violent mostly peaceful attacks in the Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
After addressing troops deployed to carry out Operation Hakorin Damisa, the Chief of Army Staff moved to a Pilot Primary school in the community to have a meeting with some stakeholders.
Earlier in July, the House of Representatives asked the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, to declare a national emergency situation in Plateau over incessant attacks by terrorists.
This followed a motion of urgent public importance on the need for urgent intervention in the killings in some local government areas in the state.
The House further requested that Operation Safe Haven should identify and evacuate all cells used by bandidos in the state.
They call them bandits, but we have been previously informed that the attackers are migratory Muslim Fulani herders attacking Christian farmers.
The House mandated the Committees on Emergency and Disaster Preparedness, Defence, Army, Air Force, Police, and Legislative Compliance (when created) to oversee compliance and report monthly until the situation was brought under control.
They stated that the recent attacks on the communities had resulted in the killing of over 300 individuals, significant injuries to others, the destruction of property, and the displacement of nearly 18,000 people.
The politicians also raised concern about the ongoing attacks by terrorist groups in the state, claiming that if not addressed soon, it would result in low agricultural produce.
The House further requested that security personnel should give aerial observation and assistance in capturing the bully boyz and destroying their camps in order to prevent attacks and allow innocent farmers to return to their lands and ancestral homes.
The Muslim clerics were captured on camera in a video making the rounds on the internet, threatening to stone the traditional religion practitioners and their priestess.
Some Moslemholy mans in Ilorin, Kwara State capital threatened to stone some Isese traditional worshippers performing rites at a river in Oko Owo area of the state.
The Moslemholy mans were captured on camera in a video making the rounds on the internet, threatening to stone the traditional religion practitioners and their priestess.
The video posted on Friday night by a Facebook user, Alfa Aribidesi At-Tawdeeh Islamic Da'wah, and captioned "ANOTHER OSUN WOMEN CAUGHT LIVE @ OKO OLOWO IN ILORIN TODAY!!!", shows the Moslemholy mans disrupt the traditional rite In the video, a Moslemholy man who spoke in Yoruba is heard saying, "We have warned you. You putting on hijab, we also see you. Don't put the calabash down. You know Ilorin doesn't belong to you; you understand."
The traditional religion worshipers replied that they are Ilorin indigenes but the Moslem fanatics said, "Is this what we will be doing in Ilorin? You say you are indigenes, is this what we will be doing in Ilorin? Where is your family house in Ilorin?"
He beckoned to some other Isese adherents still by the river and said, "Come out of there. You are in Ilorin. Leave that place. Is this Osun?"
But when they did not leave, he charged towards them and threatened to stone them, insisting that their religion was not allowed in Ilorin, saying, "Leave! Leave! Leave now! Can’t you hear me? Leave or I'll stone you."
The fanatics could be heard chanting Moslem prayers in Arabic.
Also, a recent viral video that generated controversy revealed how a traditional religion priestess, Yeye Ajesikemi Olokun Omolara Olatunji, was threatened by Moslem fanatics not to hold Isese festival in Ilorin. In a video released online, the priestess said she was threatened and warned not to hold any Isese festival in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital. Omolara bemoaned the unfortunate situation and disclosed that her life was in danger.
Meanwhile, ...back at the pie fight, Bella went down under the weight of the custard... the Osun devotee had reportedly released fliers announcing a three-day traditional event aimed at celebrating certain Yoruba deities.
But members of a Moslem group, Majlisu Shabaab li Ulamahu Society went to her house to warn her to desist from holding the planned Isese festival.
Later, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, the front man for the Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Kolapo Sulu-Gambari, said that the monarch and the palace were in support of the Islamic group.
Arowona said the monarch had made a public declaration against such events, which he described as ’idolatry’.
He added that Moslems in the city would oppose the Isese festival.
But Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, who is the Akintalun of Egba, Giiwa of Ijebu-Remo and Akogun of Isara, in an open letter to the Emir on Thursday, said that "it is sad to see the ancient city of Ilorin, a confluence of faiths and ethnic varieties, reduced to this level of bigotry and intolerance, manifested in the role of a presiding monarch".
According to Soyinka, such actions "bred Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... , ISIS, ISWAP and other religious malformations that currently plague this nation, spreading grief and outrage across a once peaceful landscape, degrading my and your existence with their virulent brand of Islam".

Gunmen in the city of al-Turbah, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition forces, assassinated the Jordanian WFP employee, Moayyad Saeed Hameidi, who works as head of the program, with six bullets that led to his death instantly.
The coalition-controlled areas in Taiz province are witnessing major insecurity, and almost daily liquidations, in addition to armed festivities between the UAE-backed factions on the one hand, and the Saudi-backed "Islah Party" militias on the other.
[AlAhram] Yemeni police on Saturday arrested two suspects in the killing of a senior World Food Program official the previous day, authorities said.
Ten others were also detained for their alleged involvement in the killing of Moayad Hameidi, who had recently arrived in the country to take the post of the head of the World Food Program in the southwestern province of Taiz.
Taiz police did not provide further details.
On Friday, two button men riding on a cycle of violence shot Hameidi in the town of Turbah. He died shortly after reaching a hospital. The attackers expeditiously departed at a goodly pace.
Hameidi, a Jordanian, was the latest aid worker to be killed in Yemen, which has been embroiled in a civil war since 2014. He had just arrived in Taiz a few days ago to assume his role as head of the WFP office in the province. "Next!"

While a journalist was arrested by Police in a terror funding case on Friday, female separatists Zamrooda Habid and Yaseem Raja had already been arrested in the case besides two other Lashkar-e-Taiba ...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI... (LeT) associates.
The case was registered at Police Station Nowgam in Srinagar in February this year after Police during a checking at a checkpoint arrested three LeT associates along with over Rs 31.65 lakh and other incriminating materials from their possession. They were identified as Umar Adil Dar, Bilal Asmad Sidiqi and Salik Mehraj. Dar was associated with separatists.
In February, a police party of Police Station Nowgam during routine checking at Lasjan Crossing on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway had spotted three suspicious individuals coming from Lasjan towards the highway carrying a blue colour cricket kit bag trying to avoid checking at the checkpoint. However, there's more than one way to stuff a chicken... the police party managed to stop them.
During checking of the kit bag carried by Dar, Rs 31,65,200, a mobile phone, and three pages of LeT letterhead were recovered. On personal search of the two other persons, Sidiqi and Mehraj, four pages each of the LeT letterhead were recovered. During preliminary investigation, it came to the fore that the trio was working as terrorist associates of the LeT.
After the recovery, Police investigated the case thoroughly.
During investigation, the names of Yasmeen Raja who was once chairperson of Moslem Khawateen Markaz (MKM) and Zamrooda Habib, who was also chairperson of MKM were also arrested.
The Police did not stop investigation there. Taking investigations forward, Police on Thursday arrested a "journalist" Muzamil Zahoor Malik of Pattan, Baramulla.
"In continuation of investigation of FIR No 20/23 under Sections 120 B, 121, and 121A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Sections 13, 18, 39, and 40 of the ULAP Act wherein recovery of Rs 31.65 lakh was effected. One more accused Muzamil Zahoor Malik, son of Zahoor Ahmad of Indergam Pattan has been arrested," Police said. "He is a self styled journalist."
Police said Muzamil Zahoor had opened a fake account on forged identity in a bank for transactions related to furtherance of the activities of the banned LET outfit.
"He had received funds in lakhs meant for terror activities in this account from the main terror hawala operator of LeT," Police said. "Incriminating material has also been seized from the accused at the time of his arrest. The accused has been taken on a seven-day remand for custodial examination."
Senior Police officials said that they received the money as part of a conspiracy to strengthen its cadres within Srinagar district.
"They received money on the directions of their handlers based in Pakistain as a part of a larger criminal conspiracy hatched by the terrorist organization within and across the border to pass, raise money, and funds for furthering their activities and causing large-scale disturbances in J&K," they said.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday raided the residential premises of an absconding accused in the Hizb ul Mujahideen (HM)
...the militant wing of Jamaat i-Islami on Pakistan’s ISI payroll for the purpose of conquering Indian Kashmir...
terror conspiracy case, officials said.
The accused has been identified as Riaz Ahmed @ Hazari, a resident of Kishtwar district of Jammu & Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... , said an NIA front man, in a statement.
"NIA has announced a cash reward of Rs 3 Lakh for leads on Riaz Ahmad @ Hazari. The searches conducted today at his house led to the seizure of one mobile phone, which is being analysed," he said.
The case, registered initially by ATS, UP Lucknow on 12th September 2018, was re-registered by NIA as case RC-02/2018/NIA/LKW under UA (P) Act on 24th September 2018.
"The case, registered against one Kamruk Zaman & others, related to a criminal conspiracy to carry out terror attacks by HM cadres at different places in U.P and other parts of India."
Kamrun and one absconding accused, Osama Bin Javed, were chargesheeted in NIA Special Court, Lucknow on 11th March 2019 under various sections of IPC and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967. Osama was killed in an encounter with security forces on 28th September 2019.
Subsequently, on 29th May 2021, a Supplementary Chargesheet was filed against arrested accused persons Nisar Ahmad Sheikh and Nishad Ahmad Butt, both residents of J&K. A second supplementary chargesheet was filed against arrested accused Danish Naseer on 25th November 2022.
"Investigations have revealed that accused Kamruj Zaman was radicalized by Osama Bin Javed to join the HM and both received nine months of physical and weapon-handling training by HM cadres. Absconding accused Riaz Ahmad @ Hazari, an active bully boy and district Deputy Commander of the HM, along with another co-accused Mohammad Amin @ Jahangir Saroori, also an active bully boy and District Commander of HM, was involved in recruiting and training accused Kamruj Zaman and Osama Bin Javed in the forests of Kishtwar district of J&K."
"After completion of training, Kamruj was directed to set up bases and hideouts, and select targets in U.P, Assam and other parts of India for terrorist activities. Accordingly, he had come to Kanpur where he had also carried out reconnaissance of a few targets."
[Shafaq News] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... 's warplanes reportedly bombed sites of the anti-Ankara Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in Duhok "forcefully and repeatedly" late on Friday.
A source told Shafaq News Agency that the Ottoman Turkish airforces carried out a series of Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s on "tunnels and caves" used by PKK fighters in the Kuherzi and Plava villages as shelters.
"It was no immediately clear whether the attacks have left casualties," the source said.
[Rudaw] Clashes between the Ottoman Turkish army and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) have intensified over the past two days in the northern mountains of the Kurdistan Region, with each side on Saturday claiming to have inflicted casualties on the other.
The Ottoman Turkish defense ministry said its forces have "neutralized" five PKK members on Mount Metina in northern Duhok province. Ankara uses the term neutralized to denote adversaries captured, maimed, or killed. State media also reported that Ottoman Turkish intelligence killed a PKK member named Ozgur Alparslan in an operation on Duhok’s Mount Gara. The report said Alparslan was a PKK leader responsible for The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... On the same day, the People’s Defense Forces (HPG), the military arm of the PKK, announced in a statement that they have killed 16 Ottoman Turkish soldiers over the past three days in the Metina area. It also said a Sikorsky helicopter belonging to the Ottoman Turkish army was damaged in festivities.
In a separate report, the Ottoman Turkish defense ministry announced that a Ottoman Turkish soldier was hit by a helicopter blade and killed on Friday.
Rudaw cannot independently verify these claims.
The PKK is an gang struggling for the increased rights of Kurds in Turkey and is designated a terrorist organization by Ankara. The Ottoman Turkish state has been at war with the gang for several decades. The conflict regularly spills over into the Kurdistan Region where the PKK has its headquarters in the Qandil Mountains. Last week Ottoman Turkish strikes caused a massive fire on the slopes of Mount Metina in Duhok’s Amedi district. The flames raged for two days before they were extinguished, burning tens of acres of land between the villages in the area.
Ottoman Turkish intelligence is accused of carrying out liquidations of the group’s members in the Region. Earlier this month, Ottoman Turkish intelligence announced that it had carried out an operation in Sulaimani province where they killed a member of the group accused of plotting the liquidation of a Ottoman Turkish diplomat in 2019.

[ENGLISH.ALMANAR.LB] A large number of protesters attempted to storm Baghdad’s heavily fortified Green Zone, which houses foreign embassies and the seat of Iraq’s government, early Saturday following reports that an ultranationalist group burned a copy of the Koran in front of the Iraqi Embassy in the Danish capital, Copenhagen.
The protest came two days after people angered by the planned burning of the Holy Book in Sweden stormed the Swedish Embassy in Baghdad.
Security forces on Saturday pushed back protesters, who blocked the Jumhuriya bridge leading to the Green Zone, preventing them from reaching the Danish Embassy.
Iraq’s prime minister has cut diplomatic ties with Sweden in protest over the desecration of the Koran in that country.

[IsraelTimes] A Paleostinian from the northern West Bank city of Jenin is detained after attempting to carry out a stabbing attack at the nearby Jalamah checkpoint, the Defense Ministry says.
According to the ministry, the suspect, while brandishing a knife, ran toward security guards manning the border crossing.
The guards fired warning shots, and the suspect then threw the knife to the side, before being detained, the ministry says.
[IsraelTimes] Officers break Sheikh Yahya Mansour’s hand, injure worshipers who tried to defend him; operation reportedly part of strategy to assert control over mosques in Strip
Police in the Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",-controlled Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip swarmed a mosque and arrested a prominent religious figure affiliated with the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... terror group this week.
Sheikh Yahya Mansour’s hand was broken by police during the arrest on Tuesday, while PIJ members and other civilians were maimed in the raid on Rafah’s Al Awda mosque, a PIJ stronghold, the Tazpit Press Service reported, citing eyewitnesses.
Unnamed Gaza sources told TPS that the raid was part of a broader strategy by Hamas to take control of mosques in the enclave and subjugate PIJ.
Mansour later claimed in a video that the Hamas members "wanted to kill me."
"They beat me with chairs and objects that were in the mosque and I miraculously survived," he said.
It was unclear exactly why Mansour was detained.
On Thursday, Hamas activists came to the mosque and hung the group’s flags outside the building, Channel 12 reported.
"What crime did these Zionist dogs get up to?" PIJ said in a statement. "Stealing, drug trafficking, hoarding electricity, and all the crises in Gaza are not enough for them. They also want to kill the military arm of the Islamic Jihad that was on the battlefield for three rounds with the occupation," they added. Zionist Dogs? That's gotta hurt
PIJ and Hamas both fought Israel in an 11-day conflict in May 2021. Since then, PIJ fought alone in two rounds of fighting, in August 2022 and May 2023.
Hamas, the terror group that has ruled Gaza since 2007, cooperates with PIJ and other Paleostinian terror factions on military matters under the so-called "Joint Operations Room."
However, a woman is only as old as she admits... PIJ is also Hamas’s main rival in the Strip. The enclave’s rulers occasionally intervene when PIJ operatives attempt to fire rockets at Israel, to avoid violent mostly peaceful escalations when conflict is not in their interest.

[IsraelTimes] National conflict comes to a head as hundreds of thousands demonstrate throughout country against ’reasonableness’ bill; coalition officials vow to pass it within days regardless
Hundreds of thousands of protesters demonstrated across the country Saturday evening against the coalition’s controversial judicial overhaul plans, with tens of thousands rallying outside the Knesset in Jerusalem following a mass march from Tel Aviv, as part of a last-ditch effort to prevent the passage of a bill that would curtail judicial oversight of government decisions.
The mass demonstrations came as over 10,000 reservists including pilots and others in top military units announced they were halting their service, amid threats of strikes by various professional groups, growing calls for civil disobedience and with the country’s largest labor union meeting to decide on a course of action.
The government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appeared undeterred, however, with multiple anonymous coalition officials telling Hebrew media that they would not capitulate and were determined to pass the legislation. Kan news said Netanyahu has commented behind the scenes that "either we reach a compromise by tomorrow or the bill will pass."
In addition to the landmark march in Jerusalem, believed to draw some 90,000 on its final leg, some 170,000 demonstrators converged on Tel Aviv’s Kaplan Street for the main weekly rally for the 29th week in a row, according to estimations by the CrowdSolutions firm cited by Channel 13 news.
Tens of thousands more demonstrated at some 150 other cities, towns and intersections across the country. Opponents of the legislation rallied outside Netanyahu’s residence in Jerusalem.
After seven straight months of the most sustained and intense demonstrations the country has ever seen, the grassroots protest movement
...that’s “grassroots” with scare quotes, of course, as the Black Bloc/Antifa cadres have US State Dept. and other outside funding and coaching. Some are named in the lengthy verbiage at the link...
has reached a fever pitch.
Organizers claimed some 500,000 people took part in rallies overall, though this figure could not be independently confirmed.
In scorching heat that reached 33 degrees Celsius (91 degrees Fahrenheit),

the procession into Jerusalem turned the city’s main entrance into a sea of blue and white Israeli flags as marchers completed the last leg of a four-day, 70 kilometer (45-mile) trek from Tel Aviv to Israel’s parliament. Arriving at the Knesset, protesters sang Israel’s national anthem, "Hatikva."
Members of the Students’ Protest group set up a "tent city" in Sacher Park, adjacent to the Knesset, with protesters planning to remain there until further notice.

The Asayish did not reveal the name of the leader or his role in the group.
