[Unz Review] Readers ask me about the Epstein case. Are Ann Coulter, Giraldi and others correct that the Lolita Express was a possible Mossad operation to create blackmail files on political leaders, women included. I have no way of knowing. I posted articles from others to stimulate thought, not to take a position.
At this point in time, my view is that Epstein, whether innocent or guilty, is likely to get off, because the information, if it is correct, is on Western political leaders, none of whom wants it to come out and neither does Israel as the blackmail potential of the information would be lost. That makes a lot of political power for a mere US Attorney to go up against.
Moreover, MeTwo and the other crazed anti-male "feminist" movements prefer to see the pedophile scandal, if such is a fact, as "what men do." They don’t want any politics to take the blame, and certainly not Israel. It is heterosexual men who are to blame. The position of the idiot feminists to make this a war against men will contribute a lot to Epstein’s escape from justice if once again the case against him goes nowhere.
If the blackmail theory sounds far-fetched, it’s worth keeping in mind that it was also floated by one of Epstein’s victims, Virginia Roberts Giuffre. “Epstein … also got girls for Epstein’s friends and acquaintances. Epstein specifically told me that the reason for him doing this was so that they would ‘owe him,’ they would ‘be in his pocket,’ and he would ‘have something on them,’” she said in a court affidavit, according to the investigative series in the Miami Herald that brought the case back to the public’s attention late last year.

Good spellcatch Dron. Usually only takes btwn 24-48 hrs to begin assigning blame to Israel. I was shocked it took so long. Notice if you will, the intelligence service not mentioned.

A Mossad op...
Surely you realize that Mossad, CIA, MI6, and all the rest are perfectly willing to farm stuff like this out to contractors. Creates a firewall and keeps your hands clean and all that.

OK, my problem with this, in a nutshell, is thus: from what I've heard from news reports, Epstein's Corporation, whatever it was called, was too _empty_. Either Epstein wasn't an intelligence asset, or the intelligence agencies have sunk a lot since their heyday. (I know, I know, "Embrace the healing power of 'and'").
The business has no real physical assets or operations for any intelligence operations they may be running to blend in with.

When someone has something to his, another will exploit it. Nexium was developed as a blackmail organization, that was the base for retaining members. This I believe is different. This was fairly open to the elite and most knew and ignored, not unlike Weinstein's women. I don't think Mossad would be running it, but in their research on our political class, I would be naïve to believe they did not have the data on them, as I assume the Chinese, Britts and Russians have. Its just too easy to get.
He will go to jail, he will probably die in prison, shanked by an inmate. Those that have not been exposed yet will slither on by. But Clinton, both of them, Dershowitz, and possibly Obama will get dragged into this and destroyed. If they get Dershowitz on charges he will tell all.

The best thing we could have done in post-Saddam Iraq would have been to partition it, with Kurdistan becoming an independent US ally with a forward US deployment there.
I know Biden isn't thought highly of on these threads but if memory serves, Biden actually did argue strongly for just such a strategy. Too bad he wasn't in charge instead of 0.

I am amazed that wasn't done right after the liberation of Iraq: Both downgrade Incirlik and replace it with Erbil.

Well, we withdrew all the nukes from Incirlik, except for that one....

Without declaring war on Iraq, Iran, Syria and Turkey at the same time? Unfortunately an ambition not practical, then or now....

Lex - that had Huge Implications™ and got back into western geo-dictating nation-state boundaries. Joe was wrong again. If it works for the locals, they have to ACCEPT it, not having it imposed by outsiders

It wouldn't have to be a hard partition with complete independence.
Sovereignty backed up by a US Air Force base would be enough to ensure Kurdish independence + US domination of the skies.
[Huffpoo] Despite public outcry, Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee (R) re-signed a proclamation Thursday declaring July 13 as Nathan Bedford Forrest Day in the state, honoring the Ku Klux Klan grand wizard and former Confederate general.
Each year, according to state law, the governor is supposed to sign six such proclamations for days of observation, three of which are in honor of the Confederacy, according to The Tennessean. Though they’re mostly symbolic, the governor says he signs them out of a sense of duty.
"I signed the bill because the law requires that I do that and I haven’t looked at changing that law," Lee told The Tennessean on Thursday.
His decision was roundly panned by the media. New York Times columnist Jamelle Bouie tweeted: "Very cool that Tennessee has a day honoring a confederate war criminal and founder of America’s oldest and deadliest terrorist group."
"I signed the bill because the law requires that I do that and I haven’t looked at changing that law," Lee told The Tennessean
Forrest is known to history as a bloodthirsty slave trader and the KKK’s very first grand wizard. In 1864, he led Confederate soldiers to commit what’s known as the Fort Pillow Massacre, according to The Washington Post. Three hundred Union soldiers, including 200 black soldiers, were murdered there, often at point-blank range.
Residents have been petitioning to remove two statues of Forrest ― including a bust from the state Capitol ― for years. But Lee defends Confederate monuments and the Ku Klux Klan as "part of our history."
Earlier this year, Lee told The Tennessean that "The Ku Klux Klan is a part of our history that we’re not proud of in Tennessee, and we need to be reminded of that and make certain that we don’t forget it. So I wouldn’t advocate to remove that."

Good. The best way to deal with black apologetics and 'woke' correctness is to say "fuck you" in the face of those gasping and hawing, and go on with work. No one needs to feel guilty today of slavery or apartheid relegated to history.

I suppose all those 'outraged' also want to have Senator Robert C. Byrd stricken from the roles of the Congress?
As late as 1946, Byrd wrote to the Klan’s Grand Wizard stating, “The Klan is needed today as never before, and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia and in every state in the nation.” Linky

[Babylon Bee] U.S.‐A fascinating new study released today from a very reliable source confirmed that all your opinions are correct, there are no flaws in your worldview, beliefs, or hot takes, and that everything you say is more or less absolutely correct.
The study researched everything you believe and found that it is true, all of it. From your opinions on religion to your takes on politics, the extremely reputable study found that you are 100% correct both in your high-level assertions and in all the supporting details of your claims.
"Based on this new information, we definitely recommend never examining your beliefs to see if there are weaknesses, never challenging your own assumptions to see if they hold water, and never adjusting your thinking to align with truth," said one expert. "We also recommend not doubting this study itself. Share its results immediately so you can show everyone on your social media feeds that you are, indeed, right."
The study also researched everything you disagree with and found that it is deeply flawed, inherently opposed to logic and reason, and totally destructive to human progress. The only logical conclusion, therefore, is to hate people who disagree with you, and maybe punch them.

The Bee has actually tapped into a bit of Kantian logic here. Our 'universe' is a product of the sum total of forces of which we only perceive that part which our psyches are consonant with.
[Federal Observer] A 232 Year History of our fight against Islam & why it is no longer taught in our public schools...
When Thomas Jefferson saw there was no negotiating with Muslims, he formed what is now the Marines (sea going soldiers). These Marines were attached to U. S. Merchant vessels. When the Muslims attacked U.S. merchant vessels they were repulsed by armed soldiers, but there is more.
The Marines followed the Muslims back to their villages and killed every man, woman, and child in the village.
It didn’t take long for the Muslims to leave U.S. Merchant vessels alone.
English and French merchant vessels started running up our flag when entering the Mediterranean to secure safe travel.
Why the Marine Hymn contains the verse, "To the Shores of Tripoli ".
This is very interesting and a must read piece of our history. It points out where we may be heading.
Most Americans are unaware of the fact that over two hundred years ago the United States had declared war on Islam, and Thomas Jefferson led the charge!
At the height of the 18th century, Muslim pirates (the "Barbary Pirates") were the terror of the Mediterranean and a large area of the North Atlantic.
They attacked every ship in sight, and held the crews for exorbitant ransoms. Those taken hostage were subjected to barbaric treatment and wrote heart-breaking letters home, begging their governments and families to pay whatever their Mohammedan captors demanded.

Without a declaration of war! That's not what our founding fathers intended.....ah, oh, wait, never mind.
#3
Only a matter of time before Jefferson's name and legacy on monuments and tender is challenged, because it ... sniff... hurts the sentiments of 'American muslims'.
The Democratic Party which he founded and the city of Charlottesville where sits the university he founded have already begun the process of turning one of America's Olympian leaders into a non-person.

November 10th, 1775, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was the founding of the USMC, a bit before Jefferson’s Presidency. I’m curious about the sources Regarding arming merchantmen and wholesale pursuit and extreme prejudicial terminations. I was taught about LT Presley O’Bannon but not the other assertions.

Tun's Tavern, known to every Marine I've ever met. Jefferson knew there could be no "peace" with Islam, and responded to them appropriately. A few scheduled sunrises in the Muddled East would do wonders for whirled peas. We need to develop interstellar spaceflight, and ensure every Muslim and Muslim sympathizer gets a one-way ticket to a new world. Preferably in the Lesser Magellanic Cloud.
