[NYP] A Minnesota man who was found dead inside the freezer of an empty home last month was on the run from authorities and likely jumped in the icebox to hide from cops, police believe.
Brandon Lee Buschman, 34, was discovered in a chest freezer in the basement of the unoccupied home on June 26 after he apparently tried to evade cops who were in the area, police said Friday.
The Babbitt resident had an active warrant for his arrest, and police suspect he jumped into the freezer of his own accord to hide but became trapped inside.
The chest freezer is an older model with a latching mechanism on the outside of the freezer, according to the Gilbert Police Department, which contracts with the city of Biwabik where the death happened.
"When closed, the freezer is not capable of being pushed open from inside," police said in a news release.
The freezer wasn’t working when he went inside because no utilities have been connected to the home since April 2022.

I would probably save and skip buying a coffin for him. Just saying. Might need a couple of cans of black spray paint depending. If it’s silver, I would let it ride.

As I see it, the recently deceased was successful in his bid to evade the cops and escape the clutches of the criminal justice system and therefore, should be awarded points. The fact that he died in the process seems incidental to his escape. Can we get a ruling from the judges?
(Washington, D.C.) Judicial Watch announced today that it received 478 pages of records from the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA), a component of the United States Department of Defense, which includes instructional materials and emails that address topics such as Critical Race Theory, "white privilege," and Black Lives Matter.
Judicial Watch obtained these records as the result of a November 2022 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed after the Defense Department failed to respond to a request for Air Force Academy training material records on Critical Race Theory (Judicial Watch, Inc. v. U.S. Department of Defense (No. 1:22-cv-03510)).
The records include a PowerPoint presentation titled "Political Psychology, Lessons 32-33: Prejudice and Racism." On a slide labeled "Race and Partisanship" is a bullet stating: "Opposition to interracial dating correlated with white partisanship after Obama’s election despite being unrelated to party identification in previous decades."
The presentation includes a set of tables with the headline "White Americans’ Support for Democratic Candidates for President as a Function of Old-Fashioned Racism." Another slide depicts tables which purport to show "Correlations between Republican Party Identification and Old-Fashioned Racism among White Americans."
A slide titled "Racialization of Public Policy" includes a bullet stating "They [pollsters] found that the image of a black man greatly impacted responses among Trump supporters." The next bullet asserts:
After exposed to the black racial cue, Trump voters:
Were less supportive of housing assistance programs
Expressed higher levels of anger that some people receive government assistance
Were more likely to say that individuals who receive assistance are to blame for their economic situation.
Another slide purports to show a chart depicting "White Identity among White Americans," with the subtitle "How Important Is Being White to Your Identity?"
[YouTube] Taiwan has dismissed China's claim that it could sink the US Navy's most advanced aircraft carrier strike group.
This assertion seems to be part of an effort to bolster public confidence and counter ongoing Chinese intimidation tactics.
A research paper published in May by scholars affiliated with the People's Liberation Army-backed North University of China claimed that a war game demonstrated the capability of sinking a flotilla led by the USS Gerald R Ford with 24 hypersonic anti-ship missiles with absolute certainty.
Everything is possible in theory, even if the probability is less than 1%. Real life is a different story.
This marked the first public disclosure of a Chinese simulation involving hypersonic strikes on a US aircraft carrier. The simulation is thought to have utilized Dongfeng-21D and Dongfeng-26 ballistic missiles, commonly referred to as "carrier killers" due to their intended targeting of mobile naval vessels.
This was reported by SCMP or South China Morning Post.
Viewers can check the video on the above card to get details of the Chinese simulation.

Can the Theater US Forces survive The 6 Hour War™? IMO the CCP will throw the proverbial 'kitchen sink' at the US forces. They will be smart, they will be cunning and they will have wargamed it for years. Remember the Egyptian Army crossing the Suez Canal in 1973? That degree of planning.
After the first day the US forces will get to show their mettle.

Somewhere in the plot of every Tom Clancy novel is the hot new item that fails to perform, while some used-up submarine or a discontinued missile found in the back of the warehouse saves the day.
Yes, it's fiction, but compelling because real life is full of exactly those kinds of unexpected twists.

[Eurasian Times] With Poland meticulously working to strengthen its military force and emerging as the next big military powerhouse in the European continent, it is geared to display its cutting-edge weaponry at the next month’s annual military parade.
The parade, conducted to commemorate the country’s Armed Forces Day on August 15, will display the state-of-the-art military systems that the forces have acquired recently, the Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak announced in the capital Warsaw last week.
According to the Polish media and a video posted online by the Polish Ministry of Defense (MoD), Błaszczak said: "Strong White and Red" — this is the motto of this year’s celebrations #WojskoPolskie. From August 12 to 15, picnics with the participation of soldiers will be organized, and a military parade will take place in Warsaw on August 15."

[WIRE] Rep. Pat Fallon (R-TX) of the House Oversight Committee said during an interview Monday that he believes that the U.S. Secret Service has identified someone as a suspect in the case involving cocaine that was found last week in the White House.
Fallon told Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum that he spoke with law enforcement officials in his home state how long it should take for fingerprints to be taken off the baggie that had the cocaine and he was told it should be within an hour.
"If there was no fingerprints, they could have told us immediately," he said. "So, I suspect there are fingerprints, and you can run it through a database, and this was found where high level aides and staffers are, so most of them were fingerprinted at one time or another, so they may very well already know who it belongs to and aren’t sharing with us and that’s my greatest concern and worry."

Is the stall, assuming it is Hunter or linked to supplying Hunter, about the Plea deal being in danger if this is him? If it is relevant, even on just a moral turpitude basis, are we finally approaching "a bridge too far" territory for this waning abomination of grifters?

Ms. Besoeker and I just returned from seeing "Sound of Freedom" Should be mandatory viewing for all members of congress. While no mention of it in the movie, anyone with an IQ above room temp should be able to make the parallels btwn the movie island and Epstein's island getaway.

[MAIL] The US Justice Department on Monday unsealed arms trafficking and other charges violations charges against an Israeli professor and potential star witness who claims he has evidence of the Biden family's corrupt businesses
Gal Luft,
...co-director of a Washington, DC-based non-profit think tank focusing on global energy security issues, he holds both Israeli and American citizenships. He reached lieutenant colonel when he served in the IDF. Nothing in these descriptors makes me think of arms dealer, particularly to Libya, China, and the UAE, which much have their own longstanding suppliers for such things...
57, was arrested in February on eight counts of working secretly for China, attempting to broker the sale of arms to Libya, Kenya and the UAE without the necessary US permits, and selling Iranian oil to China in violation of sanctions.
He was detained in Cyprus but fled while free on bail.
His whereabouts are unknown, but on Monday the indictment against him was unsealed.
Luft claims he has information about the Biden family's business with people linked to Chinese military intelligence. He was a potential witness for the US House committee investigating wrongdoings by Hunter Biden and his father, President Joe Biden.
The status of his potential testimony is not known now that Biden's DOJ has announced charges against the think-tank leader.
[IsraelTimes] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... ’s President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important... has agreed to forward Sweden’s application to join NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis.... to his parliament for approval, the alliance’s head Jens Stoltenberg says.
After talks in Vilnius with Erdogan and Sweden’s Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, Stoltenberg says Turkey agreed to move forward, declaring: "This is a historic day."
