[Pak Daily Times] Thousands of cyclists in Mexico City rode through the streets naked on Saturday to mark the World Naked Bike Ride, The Telegraph reports. ...thereby providing thousands, maybe millions, of voyeurs, roues, and perverts days of innocent amusement.
The daring cyclists demand more respect from drivers on the road and also want to raise awareness on environmental and health issues. Lemme try and sort this out. We're supposed to respect naked people? Or we're supposed to respect cyclists? Does that apply to all of them? Do I have to respect hairy naked cyclists? Or can I confine my respect to nubile young maiden cyclists while ignoring the rest?
The riders, not all of whom were nude, Do we have to respect naked cyclists who aren't naked?
said showing their naked bodies was a way to show drivers the fragility of the human body. ...along with a little T&A...
The World Naked Bike Ride movement began on June 12, 2004, in Vancouver, Canada, and has been held every year in 29 cities around the world since then.

Really? This is the best idea they could come up with? It sounds more like the idea of someone stoned out of their gourd trying to come up with something funny.
All this does is prove that many people are sheep and willing to follow the lead of anyone or anything. It does nothing to increase respect for anyone, other than the people who are smart enough to keep their clothes on.
I promise, demonstrating moronic stupidity will not get you the respect of anyone. It will however, ensure that you will get ignored at best or considered a danger to children and small furry things.

And the world will end last December.

I go with the theory that Liz number One was a hemorphidite, and was "confused" at an early age.

Won't happen. The files will still be sealed and entombed deep within the D.C. Obama City crypt. Printed copies and fotos will be available in the book store adjacent the spiral minarets.

Foolishness. Monarchs of that era had no personal privacy. There were a swarm of noblewomen who would have seen the Queen over the years in her altogether. Furthermore, the alleged cross-dresser was imprisoned for years at the hands of her sister the Queen, who definitely would have twigged immediately to the "fact" that her Protestant sister and heir presumptive was neither her sister nor any sort of relation.

Mitch,
I agree. In addition to noblewomen there would have been dozens of servants who helped bath and perfume QE the I. There is also the matter of the Sir Robert Dudley who knew Liz both when she was little and when she was queen and who was, by his own words, in love with her (while married to another).
This 'theory' is really just a premise for a book based on a false history (like the ones written by Dan Brown)

I wouldn't be surprised if she was barren (and not actually a virgin) but the she's a man baby theory is just stupid.
Hey, I love Dan Brown books. Especially the one about the intellectual professor who just happens to have a fitness skill that allows him, along with the spunky but gorgeous heroine, to thwart a deeply-hidden world-threatening conspiracy.

TW: I got as far as the statement alleging that his daughters weren't taught to read before my brain rebelled.
(It's not that Amelia Bassano isn't an interesting subject, I've just become hostile to the whole "but there's no way that idiot from Stratford could have done it" argument.)
[An Nahar] Angry residents of an Egyptian village beat a man to death and dragged his body through the streets on Sunday after he allegedly raped and murdered a teenage girl, a security official said.
The killing in the Nile Delta village of Quesna in Menufiya province is the latest lynching case with vigilante justice on the rise amid growing lawlessness.
The man was accused of raping the 16-year-old girl before stabbing her to death, state media reported.

[Pak Daily Times] City authorities in Johannesburg, South Africa's economic hub, have unveiled an ambitious plan to undo urban inequalities of the apartheid era and turn the continent's wealthiest city into the "New York of Africa".
City mayor Parks Tau says the 10-year scheme, which is set to cost some $10 billion (7.5 billion euros), will lead to a "new era" for Johannesburg and its 4.4 million inhabitants.
Plans are on the cards for an extensive new road and railroad network, better houses and revamped buildings to spruce up the city, originally built on a gold rush in the late 19th century.
The inspiration for change is the cosmopolitan New York City in the United States, with its attractive bridges, roads and efficient subway network and parks.
"We are re-inventing the city of Johannesburg," Tau said. "We are turning this city into a New York of Africa," he added.
Officials say the project will correct urban planning dating back to white minority rule, which pushed designated black areas to the outskirts of the city, with poor access to transport and other infrastructure and services.
"This is a major step in reversing the inequalities caused by the apartheid regime," Tau told AFP.

I've always been shocked that nobody in the third world duplicates Hong Kong. Just designate a coastal city as an experiment and duplicate the taxation and laws from Hong Kong and let economics take its course.
Unless you beleave the Chinese + British equal magic, of course.

[Pak Daily Times] The Swiss voted overwhelmingly Sunday in favour of a controversial government move to tighten the country's asylum law amid a spike in refugees. Some 79 percent of voters embraced changes made to the asylum law last September as applications soared to their highest level in over a decade, according to final results of a national referendum published by public broadcaster SSR. Opponents of the asylum law revision, which includes the removal of military desertion from a list of valid grounds for seeking asylum in Switzerland ...home of the Helvetians, famous for cheese, watches, yodeling, and William Tell... , voiced deep disappointment at their defeat. Parliamentarian Anne Seydoux-Christie, speaking against the official line of her Christian Democratic Party, meanwhile lamented that "this marks a weakening of our humanitarian tradition, and certainly a lack of solidarity towards what is happening in countries in serious crisis".

The Swiss have a small enough society to see the effects of multiculturalism even in the isolated enclaves of the well-heeled, and have always had a tradition as being insular. Foreigners are welcome to do business, bank and visit, and the welathy are allowed to reside. BUt they do not encourage integration at a personal level, and are always subject the the cool formality the Swiss use with others. Gracious, but not warm.....
[LATIMES] In a series of increasingly belligerent speeches to cheering supporters Sunday, Turkey's prime minister launched a verbal attack on the tens of thousands of anti-government protesters who flooded the streets for a 10th day, accusing them of creating an environment of terror.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan made the most inflammatory of his speeches as he arrived in the capital of Ankara. Erdogan belittled the protesters, again calling them "capulcu," the Turkish word for looters or vandals. He made his speech in Ankara on an open-top bus, which then drove into the city in a motorcade.
"If you look in the dictionary, you will see how right a description this is," Erdogan said, speaking to thousands of supporters who greeted him at the airport. "Those who burn and destroy are called capulcu. Those who back them are of the same family."
Erdogan said his patience was running out with the protesters, who have occupied Istanbul's main Taksim Square for more than a week and have held hundreds of demonstrations in at least 78 cities across the country. The increasingly fiery ...a single two-syllable word carrying connotations of both incoherence and viciousness. A fiery delivery implies an audience of rubes and yokels, preferably forming up into a mob... tone could inflame tensions. On two occasions, including one in the southern city of Adana on Saturday night, festivities have been reported between Erdogan supporters and protesters.
"All they do is to break and destroy, to attack public buildings. ... They didn't stop at that," Erdogan said. "They attacked daughters who wear headscarves. They entered Dolmabahce mosque with their beer bottles and their shoes."
Some of the injured in the initial festivities in Istanbul's Besiktas area were treated in Dolmabahce mosque. The mosque's imam has denied reports that people entered with beer. In the initial days of the protests, some women said they were verbally harassed. The majority of protesters, however, have denounced those who did it and have been welcoming toward them. Erdogan's comment about shoes refers to the Moslem taboo against wearing shoes inside a mosque.

The Vandals never got near you, they simply played their tour in the original capital of the Empire, Rome. It was those boys of the Fourth Crusade who looted Constantinople, now Istanbul, for 3 days in 1204. Contractors, so to speak, to the Venetians.
[Pak Daily Times] Bilderberg conspiracy theorist Alex Jones flew into an uncontrollable tirade live on the BBC's flagship politics programme after host Andrew Neil described him as an "idiot".
Jones, who runs a conspiracy theory website, began shouting and ranting after the 'Sunday Politics' host told him to "shut it". As he screamed "freedom will not stop, you will not stop freedom" Neil tried to bring the show to a close, telling him he was the worst guest ever, then stifling a laugh and pulling faces as he said, "We have an idiot on the programme today."
Jones appeared on the Sunday morning show as the secretive Bilderberg Group -- comprising politicians, economists, academics and business leaders -- in meeting at a hotel in Watford. But after his on-air meltdown Neil claimed that it has been put on. "The moment Alex Jones knew he was no longer on air he stopped. All an act," he wrote on Twitter. Jones appeared alongside David Aaronovitch, a journalist and author who has written a book debunking conspiracy theories. "Bilderberg is heavily involved in the EU plan and helped hatched it and it is a Nazi plan," Jones claimed.

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) -- Uncovered documents show the U.S. State Department may have covered up allegations of illegal behavior ranging from sexual assaults to an underground drug ring. Not another cover up ?
CBS News reports that is has unearthed documents from the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS), an internal watchdog agency, that implicate the State Department in a series of misconducts worldwide. Why should Foggy Bottom be different than the IRS?
The memo, reported by CBS News' John Miller, cited eight specific examples, including allegations that a State Department security official in Beirut "engaged in sexual assaults" with foreign nationals hired as embassy guards and the charge and that members of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's security detail "engaged prostitutes while on official trips in foreign countries" -- a problem the report says was "endemic." Hildebeast, sexual assault, whores, foreign nationals, zombie monsters...I repeat myself ?
Former State Department internal investigator Aurelia Fedenisn told CBS News, "We also uncovered several allegations of criminal wrongdoing in cases, some of which never became cases." Criminal activity? International gun running by chance ?
Often times, other DSS agents were simply told to back off of investigations of high-ranking State Department members. Fedenisn told CBS that "hostile intelligence services" allow criminal behavior to continue. Please define "hostile intelligence services'. Might not be the same as "HOIS" in the old days.

At this point it seems every government agency is completely corrupt and needs to be dismantled. The problem is, that now the government holds more power than the people are willing to keep for themselves.
I don't know how we are going to get our country back and out of these tyrant's hands short of burning down all of DC.

Well, it appears that someone has been "warming up" an experienced campaign manager:
"Foreign Service officer Michael T Sestak was charged by the US government with selling non-resident visas (green cards), mostly for between $50,000 and $70,000 - roughly 1.5 million to 2.1 million baht.
He has been held without bail for more than a week as a "serious flight risk" defendant. Mr Sestak faces charges of conspiracy to commit visa fraud and bribery.
The story was covered up by the US State Department, but was revealed by McClatchy news agency last Friday.
The number of visas allegedly sold by Mr Sestak, 42, is not yet known. But a 28-page affidavit filed by the US government against him alleges he "received several million dollars in bribes" from Vietnamese seeking to emigrate to the United States.
The affidavit alleged:
"He ultimately moved the money out of Vietnam by using money launderers through offshore banks, primarily based in China, to a bank account in Thailand that he opened in May 2012. He then used the money to purchase real estate in Phuket and Bangkok, Thailand."
