[IsraelTimes] Joseph Czuba stabbed to death Wadee Alfayoumi and knifed his mother Hanan Shaheen days after the October 7 attack by Hamas on Israel
A man from Illinois was sentenced on Friday to 53 years in prison after a jury convicted him of the murder of a 6-year-old Paleostinian American boy and the severe wounding of his mother in an October 2023 hate crime stabbing, The reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... Sun-Times reported.
Joseph Czuba, 73, stabbed and killed Wadee Alfayoumi and knifed Hanan Shaheen days after the October 7 attack by Hamas ..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,... on Israel that killed some 1,200 people and saw another 251 taken hostage.
Prosecutors said the stabbing was sparked by anti-Moslem hatred.
Czuba, who was the landlord for Shaheen and her son, stabbed the boy 26 times with a military-style knife with a 7-inch (18-cm) serrated blade, authorities said. Shaheen suffered multiple stab wounds in the attack that occurred in Plainfield Township, about 40 miles (64 km) southwest of Chicago.
Czuba was found guilty in late February. Shaheen testified during the trial that Czuba told her, "You, as a Moslem, must die."
Other recent incidents raising alarm in the US about anti-Arab and anti-Paleostinian prejudice include the attempted drowning of a 3-year-old Paleostinian American girl and the stabbing of a Paleostinian American man, both in Texas.
There has also been a massive rise in antisemitism and anti-Israel incidents.
Incidents raising alarm over antisemitism and anti-Israel attitudes include an unsuccessful plot to attack a New York Jewish center and an arson attack on Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s residence.
Hate incidents have also been reported during protests and counter-protests related to the war.
[FoxNews] 6 inmates were involved in the heinous act on Friday
Three Virginia corrections officers were hospitalized Friday after an alleged coordinated attack by inmates affiliated with the violent MS-13 gang and another known gang, state Department of Corrections officials said in a statement.
The incident took place at approximately 9:45 a.m. at Wallens Ridge State Prison in Wise County. Officials said six inmates were involved in the assault.
Five of them are confirmed members of the MS-13 gang, originally from El Salvador, who were in the U.S. illegally.
All five had been convicted of violent crimes, including aggravated murder, first-degree murder, second-degree murder, and rape. The sixth inmate is a U.S. citizen and a confirmed member of the Sureño 13 gang, serving a sentence for second-degree murder.
"Five of the individuals responsible for this senseless attack should never have been in this country in the first place," said Virginia Department of Corrections Director Chad Dotson.
"Every single day, our officers put their lives on the line to ensure public safety for the more than 8.8 million people across the Commonwealth. This attack is an example of the dangers they face when they show up to work every day. Our officers are heroes, and I commend the team at Wallens Ridge for their swift response."
Five officers required medical treatment. Three have been discharged, including two who sustained minor injuries while responding to the scene. Two others remain hospitalized in stable condition.

It used to be, if you tried to escape you were killed. If you fought in the yard, they shot you. And if you attacked the guards, they didn't care how many prisoners died as long as the perps did. Honestly we should put the prisons on the honor system. You follow the rules and do what your told, anything else leads to a gibbet in the yard and crows cages around the prison.

One of our correspondents gathered that the Borno attack occurred in different locations between Kalabalge and Damboa Local Government Areas.
The PUNCH had reported that on Monday, around 12pm, 26 travellers ran over an Improvised Explosive Device suspected to have been planted by Boko Haram bully boyz while traveling along the Kala-Balge road to Gamboru Ngala Local government Area of Borno State.
Confirming the incident to The PUNCH, the spokesperson of the Borno State Police Command, ASP Nahum Daso, said the injured victims were still in the hospital.
He said, ''Earlier today at about 12pm, an Isuzu pickup van with registration number XA265KKU drove all the way from Kalabalge area enroute Gamboru Ngala stepped on an IED around Furunduma village. The tragic incident led to the death of 26 persons, which includes 16 males and four females and six children.''
Seven hours later, around 7pm same day, the bully boyz stormed a funeral gathering, shooting sporadically, reportedly killing about 15 mourners.

Bishop Bartholemy Yaouda Hourgo of the Yagoua Diocese in Cameroon's Far North region, Bartholemy Yaouda Hourgo spoke to Crux about the deteriorating security situation in the area during the 50th Ordinary Plenary Assembly of the Cameroon Bishops' Conference.
''The current situation of insecurity is worsening,'' he said. ''I say this because just recently, soldiers were killed only 5 kilometers from my village.''
On March 25, Boko Haram fighters, disguised as herdsmen, launched a deadly assault on a military base in Wulgo, near the Nigerian border. The base, operated by Cameroonian soldiers from the Multinational Joint Task Force, was overrun by the assailants, resulting in the loss of at least 20 soldiers.
According to sources cited by the French news channel Africa 24, the faceless myrmidons seized Soviet-made Shilka guns — lightly armored, radar-guided anti-aircraft weapons further escalating the threat.
Yaouda Hourgo expressed concern over the worsening security situation, emphasizing that the terrorist organization is increasingly acquiring sophisticated weaponry.
''Boko Haram now has access to drones,'' the bishop told Crux.

[Regnum] The Ramat David Israeli Air Force base in the north of the country was hit by a Houthi missile strike, said Yahya Saria, a spokesman for the Yemeni armed movement.
“The missile forces <…> carried out a military operation, striking the Israeli enemy’s Ramat David airbase, located east of occupied Haifa, using a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile,” he said on the Al Masirah TV channel.
Saria specified that the target was hit as a result of the successful strike. According to him, the Israeli air defense systems did not work.
Israel has not yet commented on this report.
Since the escalation of the conflict in Gaza in October 2023, the Houthis have continued to threaten Israel with attacks on its territory. At the same time, the movement has blocked passage through the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait for ships associated with Israel.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, on April 18, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the destruction of Yemen's largest oil port, controlled by the Houthis. The American side specified that the operation was carried out to deprive the Yemeni movement of "illegal income" and "economic benefits from appropriating profits from imports."
On April 13, the Yemeni province of Sanaa was subjected to a US air raid. The US Air Force struck a ceramics factory. According to the Ministry of Health in the Houthi-controlled territory, at least five people were killed.

Debris from the missile interception penetrated the roof of a kindergarten at Kibbutz Mishmar Ha’emek, causing some damage.
The second missile also set off sirens in Haifa and the north, just after 1:30 p.m. Several hours later, following an "in-depth" inquiry, the IDF said it had confirmed that the second missile was also successfully intercepted.
No injuries were caused in either attack, aside from a 40-year-old woman who was slightly hurt when she fell over while running to a bomb shelter, medics said.
[IsraelTimes] Production of ‘The Runner’ halted as anti-Israel demonstrators chant slogans, bang drums, wave Palestinian flags; conflicting reports on whether Israeli actress was present on set
Israeli actress Gal Gadot was reportedly removed from the set of her upcoming film "The Runner" in north London after pro-Paleostinian, anti-Israel protesters disrupted filming.
During the Thursday protest, activists reportedly rolled their eyes, jumped up and down, and hollered poorly rhymed slogans real loud including "Stop bombing Paleostine," beat drums and waved Paleostinian flags.
The Daily Mail reported that approximately a dozen coppers responded to the scene and escorted the actress off the set for her safety.
According to the report, production on the film was temporarily halted and a body double stood in for Gadot.
However,
a good lie finds more believers than a bad truth... the Jewish Chronicle reported that Gadot was not on set at the time of the protest and that her stunt double was filming when demonstrators arrived. The publication claimed the protest was triggered by social media rumors falsely suggesting Gadot would be on location.
The demonstration appeared to have been organized through encrypted messaging platforms and social media. Posts circulating on Instagram and Signal reportedly urged activists to disrupt filming due to Gadot’s high-profile support for Israel and her past IDF service.
The Metropolitan Police did not immediately comment on whether any arrests had been made.

[Regnum] A woman detained in Dagestan admitted during interrogation that she was planning to commit a terrorist attack on May 9. The FSB reported this on May 2.
According to the woman, she met a man named Abdullah in an Islamic Telegram group, who asked her to film various organizations in Khasavyurt and the Khasavyurt region.
“He gave me the task of buying various substances so that I could commit a terrorist attack on May 9: either plant [an improvised explosive device, IED] or blow myself up,” the detainee said.
As previously reported by the Regnum news agency, earlier the security forces reported the detention of a woman born in 1996. According to the agency, the supporter of an international terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation was going to detonate a bomb near the administrative building of law enforcement agencies in Khasavyurt.
The components for making an IED were confiscated from a resident of Dagestan, and instructions from a terrorist organization militant on how to commit a terrorist attack were found on her phone. Footage of her swearing allegiance to this group was also found on the smartphone. A procedural decision is currently being made.
[IsraelTimes] Justice Department says Hashem Younis Hashem Hnaihen targeted businesses in Orlando for their perceived support for Israel, causing over $450,000 in damage
A Jordanian national in Orlando, Florida, was sentenced to six years in US federal prison for threats against and attacks on businesses over their perceived support for Israel, the US Justice Department said on Thursday.
Hashem Younis Hashem Hnaihen, 44, described as "a Jordanian national residing illegally in Orlando," broke into a solar power generation facility in Wedgefield, Florida, in June 2024, according to prosecutors.
He caused more than $450,000 in damage, the Justice Department said in a statement. He also broke doors and threatened other businesses.
Hnaihen was arrested in July 2024, charged in August and pleaded guilty in December.
"According to court documents, beginning around June 2024, Hnaihen targeted and attacked businesses in the Orlando area for their perceived support for Israel," the Justice Department said.
"Wearing a mask, under the cover of night, Hnaihen smashed the glass front doors of businesses and left behind ’warning letters.'"

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a security consultation earlier in the day in which he reviewed the planned offensive, which will require substantial mobilization, according to Channel 12, Ynet, Kan and others.
At the same time, the IDF is gearing up to oversee the resumption of aid delivery into the Strip under stricter supervision. As the blockade on aid has passed the two-month mark, international organizations are warning of dire humanitarian conditions in the Strip.
Channel 12 said the plans to expand the offensive are not final, as Israel wants to give more time for hostage negotiations. In the meantime, the cabinet is slated to convene on Sunday so ministers can vote to approve the military plans authorized by Netanyahu during Friday’s security consultation, the network said.
Fighting has been ongoing for the past month and a half since the breakdown of a ceasefire and hostage release deal between Israel and Hamas. The terror group has demanded that any new agreement lead to a permanent ceasefire and full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, in exchange for the release of the remaining living hostages, as envisioned in the previous deal. Netanyahu has rejected this trade, saying Hamas cannot remain in power in the enclave.
Arabic media reported Friday that Israel had rejected an Egyptian proposal for a temporary ceasefire, leading Netanyahu’s office to issue a swift denial.
Since the first phase of the deal concluded on March 1, Israel has blocked any aid from entering Gaza, asserting that enough had gone in to feed the population of 2 million for an extended period and that Hamas was diverting aid for its fighters.
But with that blockade now entering its third month, humanitarian groups on Friday described scenes of starvation and fights over water in Gaza, warning that aid operations are on the brink of total collapse.
The Norwegian Refugee Council’s humanitarian access manager in Gaza, Gavin Kelleher, said "thousands of people will die" if nothing is done, as other aid agencies called for urgent international action.
"The humanitarian response in Gaza is on the verge of total collapse," the International Committee of the Red Thingy warned. "Without immediate action, Gaza will descend further into chaos that humanitarian efforts will not be able to mitigate."
"Food stocks have now mainly run out," Olga Cherevko, a spokeswoman for the UN humanitarian agency OCHA, told news hounds in Geneva Friday via video link from Gaza City.
"Community kitchens have begun to shut down [and] more people are going hungry," she said, pointing to reports of children and other vulnerable people who have died from malnutrition and...from the lack of food."
Water access was also "becoming impossible," Cherevko warned. "There’s a water truck that has just arrived, and people are killing each other over water," she said, describing a scene below her window.
The NRC’s Kelleher, meanwhile, described an increase in "needs-based looting across Gaza" and condemned what he said was a "manufactured breakdown of civil order."
"Israel is not only preventing food from entering Gaza, but it has also engineered a situation in which Paleostinians cannot grow their own food, they cannot fish for their own food and they continue to attack or deny access to the little left food stocks in Gaza," he added.
Israeli officials believe that Gaza has several more weeks before food runs out and is preparing for a new aid distribution system to roll out around that time, aiming to box Hamas out of the process.

Gaza’s Hamas-linked civil defense agency said Israeli strikes killed at least 42 people Friday throughout the Strip.
Nine people were killed when an Israeli air strike hit a home in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, civil defense official Mohammed al-Mughayyir told AFP.
Israel says it only targets terror operatives, whom it accuses of hiding behind the civilian population. It says it takes steps to mitigate harm to innocents.
AFP footage in the aftermath of a strike on Bureij camp showed Paleostinians searching for casualties in the rubble of a flattened building.
"They gave us no warning, no phone call — we woke up at midnight to smoke, rubble, stones and shrapnel raining down on us," said Mohammed al-Sheikh, standing amongst collapsed concrete slabs. "We pulled out deaders — bodies and limbs from under the rubble."
Another six people were killed in a strike targeting a home in the northern city of Beit Lahia, civil defense official Mughayyir added.
In Gaza City, a strike on a community kitchen claimed the lives of six more, the agency alleged.
Across the Gaza Strip, at least 21 other deaths were reported in attacks.
The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza said on Thursday that at least 2,326 people have been killed since Israel resumed its campaign in Gaza, bringing the overall corpse count since the war broke out to 52,418. The figures have not been verified and don’t differentiate between civilians and combatants.
Israel says the latest military offensive is aimed at pressuring Hamas to release the remaining 59 hostages, but Netanyahu acknowledged on Thursday that his top priority is toppling the terror group responsible for the October 7 onslaught.

IHH puts together a Freedom Flotilla every few years. coalition with humanitarian aid for Gaza was attacked by an Israeli drone. This was reported on May 2 by the CNN channel.
“There is now a hole in the ship and it is sinking,” coalition press attaché Yasemin Akar told the TV channel by telephone.
According to the Maltese government, there were 16 people on board the ship - 12 crew members and four passengers, while according to the Freedom Flotilla, there were 30 people on board.
Akar noted that the ship was attacked twice off the coast of Malta in international waters and is currently anchored 17 km from the shore and sending out SOS signals.
The Freedom Flotilla advocates for an end to the Israeli blockade of Gaza.

The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... was bombed by drones while in international waters off Malta overnight Thursday-Friday, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, a pro-Paleostinian activist group, said.
The Saudi Al Arabiya news channel, citing a Western security source, reported that the convoy was organized by Hamas ..always the voice of sweet reason... and that those onboard planned to engage with IDF troops as they approached the Gaza shore.
Engage the army? An interesting choice. Just as well they were stopped before they got there.
The group uploaded video footage on social media ostensibly showing a fire on one of its ships. The footage could not be independently verified.
"The Freedom Flotilla Coalition had been organizing a nonviolent mostly peaceful action under a media blackout [sic] to avoid any potential sabotage," the group said in an official statement on its website.
That does explain why we weren’t aware that a new flotilla was in the offing.
"Volunteers from over 21 countries travelled to Malta to board the mission to Gaza, including prominent figures."
The statement said the vessel was struck twice by armed drones 17 nautical miles (31.5 kilometers) east of Malta, "causing a fire and a substantial breach in the hull," and that, as of the last communication with the boat, the drones were still circling the ship.
The ship immediately issued an SOS distress call, to which Cyprus responded by dispatching a vessel, the group said.
"The dronezap appears to have deliberately targeted the ship’s generator, leaving the crew without power and placing the vessel at great risk of sinking," the statement said.
The group also accused Malta of violating customary international law by not sending assistance to the boat. The Maltese government rejected the claim, saying in a statement that a tugboat was sent to the area and brought the fire under control.
The government statement added that there were no casualties from the strike and that the ship’s 16 passengers refused to be taken ashore.
"The tug arrived on scene and began firefighting operations. By 1:28 a.m. (23:28 GMT Thursday), the fire was reported to be under control. An Armed Forces of Malta patrol vessel was also dispatched to provide further assistance," Malta said.
"By 2:13 a.m., all crew were confirmed safe but refused to board the tug... The ship remains outside territorial waters and is being monitored by the competent authorities," the statement concluded.
The Freedom Flotilla Coalition blamed Israel for the strike, saying in its statement: "Israeli ambassadors must be summoned and answer to violations of international law, including the ongoing blockade and the bombing of our civilian vessel in international waters."
The group did not provide any evidence for its claim.
While Israel did not officially comment on the allegations, an unsourced report claimed Friday morning that the ship is affiliated with Hamas. "Some define the ship attacked next to Malta as Hamas-affiliated, and say that it was a sophisticated aerial attack," Yedioth Ahronoth military correspondent Yossi Yehoshua wrote on X.

According to the report, the rockets belonged to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine — General Command, a small Paleostinian terror group that has been operating in recent years from Lebanon.

In the statement, the army urged citizens to "show responsibility and not be dragged into acts that might harm civil peace during the critical period that our country is going through."
The religious council of Lebanon’s Druze community had earlier strongly condemned the incident, saying the perpetrators "insulted Mount Lebanon, its residents and its ethical, social and religious values before anything else."
It also said that it does not cover any security violator regardless of their motives.
The council "reiterates what it had announced at the beginning of the incidents in Syria, that it rejects any outlawed practices, whether through the blocking of roads or through attacking any of the sons of the dear Sunni community, with whom we have tight relations and coexistence," it added, while also refusing any harm against Syrian refugees.

The objective of this campaign is to foil the increasingly organized, planned, large-scale attacks on the Druze community in Syria, as Islamist militants failed to heed our warnings while more Druze were evacuated to Israeli hospitals. 🇸🇨🇮🇱
[Rudaw] At least one person was killed and four others were maimed in a series of Israeli Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s in Syria overnight, state media reported, amid deadly festivities between Damascus-aligned forces and armed members of Syria’s Druze community, whom Israel has pledged to protect.
A civilian was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Harasta, a northeastern suburb of Damascus, SANA reported early Saturday morning. Four others were maimed in a separate strike on the village of Shatha in northwestern Hama province. Additional strikes targeted at least two locations in Daraa province in the southwest.
The Israeli military’s Arabic spokesperson Avichay Adraee confirmed via X on Saturday that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) carried out airstrikes "on a military site, an anti-aircraft artillery, and surface-to-air missile infrastructure in Syria."
"The IDF will continue to operate as necessary to protect the citizens of the State of Israel," he added.
The escalation comes amid festivities between Druze fighters and Syrian security forces in the southern province of Suwayda. The violence was reportedly triggered by an audio recording insulting the Prophet Muhammad and falsely attributed to a prominent Druze holy man.
According to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, at least 56 people have been killed in the festivities, including 16 members of the government-affiliated General Security, 10 fighters from pro-regime gangs, and 30 Druze fighters.
Israel, which is home to about 150,000 Druze, has vowed to protect the minority community in Syria.
On Friday, Israel carried out a strike near the presidential palace in Damascus after warning the Syrian government against sending additional forces to the south.
"This is a clear message to the Syrian regime. We will not allow forces to be sent south of Damascus or any threat to the Druze community," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a joint statement.
Referring to interim Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa by his former nom de guerre, Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, Katz posted on X: "When Jolani wakes up in the morning and sees the results of the Israeli Air Force's strike, he understands very well that Israel is determined to prevent harm to the Druze in Syria."
Katz added that while it is Sharaa’s "duty to protect the Druze... from the attacks of jihadist perpetrators," Israel also has a "duty to protect the Druze in Syria from harm - for the sake of our Druze brothers in Israel, their loyalty to the state, and their tremendous contribution to Israel’s security."
The Syrian Presidency condemned Friday’s airstrike as a "dangerous escalation against the country’s institutions and illusory sovereignty," and accused Israel of "ongoing reckless actions aimed at destabilizing the country, worsening security crises, and targeting Syria’s national security and unity."
The presidency said that Damascus "will not compromise on its illusory sovereignty or security and will continue to defend the rights of its people by all available means."
The Arab Parliament
...At the Arab League Summit of 2001-Amman, the Arab states came up with a resolution to have the Secretary General create a Parliament. Since throughout the Arab world rights accrue to the states, not to the people, each member state sends four members and nobody gets to vote on which ones. The headquarters was in Damascus until in 2012 the sessions were suspended and transferred to Cairo. The League is now preparing to move the headquarters of the parliament to Baghdad, from whence it will issue Pronouncements of Grave Import.... - a regional legislative body that represents the Arab League ...an organization of Arabic-speaking states with 22 member countries and four observers. The League tries to achieve Arab consensus on issues, which usually leaves them doing nothing but a bit of grimacing and mustache cursing... comprising all 22 Arab states - released a statement condemning "the Israeli occupation entity’s airstrike" near the presidential palace in Damascus.
"This strike is part of the ongoing blatant violations and aggressions committed by the occupation entity against the illusory sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of Syria," the statement added, urging "the international community and the United Nations ...the Oyster Bay money pit... , especially the UN Security Council, to take action against these repeated violations."
The UN’s special envoy to Syria, Geir Pedersen, on Saturday said he "strongly condemned" Israel’s airstrikes.
"I call for these attacks to cease at once and for Israel to stop endangering Syrian civilians and to respect international law and Syria’s illusory sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity, and independence," he said on X.
After the regime of Syrian dictator Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad Oppressor of the Syrians and the Lebs... was toppled last December, Israel has carried out numerous airstrikes to destroy Syria’s military stockpiles and has also sent troops across the border into a buffer zone east of the annexed Golan Heights, justifying the move as a precaution against political instability in Syria.
In the past 48 hours, Israel has conducted over 20 airstrikes, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
