Mortar Shells Strike Somali capital, Mogadishu, No Casualties Reported Yet
*shrug* Someone felt a need to check that the tubes were clear, or to remind the Somali army that the enemy is near… something along those lines..
[ShabelleMedia] Early this morning, several mortar shells struck the perimeter of Halane base camp near Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu, Somalia. The attack prompted alarm sirens to sound across the area.

As of now, Somali security officials have not released any statements regarding casualties or damage. This incident follows a similar attack on April 6, 2025, when al-Shabaab
background:#FFFB99'>... an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia attempting to metastasize into Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and similar places, all ofwhich have enough problems without them...
forces of Evil fired multiple mortar rounds near the airport, disrupting international flights to Somalia.

A Ottoman Turkish Airlines flight en route from Istanbul was forced to divert to Djibouti due to the mortar attack targeting Aden Adde International Airport.

The United Nations
...the Oyster Bay money pit...
has previously condemned mortar attacks in the vicinity of the airport. In January 2024, a mortar attack killed a member of the UN Guard Unit stationed at the airport. The UN expressed condolences and condemned the act of violence.

The Somali government had introduced stringent new security measures at Aden Adde International Airport in March 2025, including a ban on all weapons and military vehicles within the facility, following heightened warnings of potential terrorist attacks.

The situation remains fluid, and authorities will likely provide updates as more information becomes available.

Somali Army Kills Two Senior Al-Shabaab Leaders in Operation
[Garowe] Two senior al-Shabaab

commanders were killed by the Somali National Army (SNA). The operation at Lower Shabelle is part of the ongoing offensive against the group.

Military officials said the forces targeted the al-Shabaab base in Muduulow area, killing Hassan Biid and Abdullahi Garweyne, who are accused of terrorizing local communities besides asking for Zakat.

The crackdown was carried out by the 26th battalion of the 6th Brigade under the 60th Division, military officials further stated, noting that the hideouts of the forces of Evil were destroyed following the precision strike by the military.

"The fight against al-Shabaab will continue until the region is fully cleared," the military said in a statement.

The government forces have been carrying out operations to eliminate the al-Shabaab forces of Evil who have been entrenched in parts of Lower Shabelle, launching frequent attacks on government officials and civilians.

The elimination of the forces of Evil was followed by cabinet reshuffle initiated by Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre who transferred outspoken Foreign Affairs minister Ahmed Moalim Fiqi to the Defence docket, replacing Jibril Abdirashid Haji.

Abdisalam Abdi Ali, who has been serving as the second deputy PM for just six months, becomes the new foreign minister. Jibril Abdirashid Haji shall replace him as the Deputy Prime Minister in what further reorganises critical dockets which my hinder military operations.

17 Killed in Two Weeks as Boko Haram Launches Fresh Attack on Adamawa Community
[EONSINTELLIGENCE] At least 17 people have bit the dust over the past two weeks in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State, following a series of violent mostly peaceful attacks by Boko Haram

turbans.

The most recent assault occurred on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in Kopre village, where heavily armed snuffies ambushed local hunters and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force, killing no fewer than 10 individuals. The chairman of Hong Local Government, Usman Wa'anganda, disclosed this during a briefing with journalists in Yola on Monday.

Providing details of the incident, Wa'anganda said the turbans, riding cycle of violences, stormed the border community around 4:00 p.m., overwhelming the village defenders with superior weaponry. He added that several homes were set ablaze during the raid, leaving many residents homeless and deepening the sense of insecurity in the area.

Visibly distressed, the council chairman emphasized the vulnerability of Kopre village, pointing out its proximity to the notorious Sambisa Forest, a longtime stronghold for Boko Haram fighters. "Because Kopre borders Sambisa, the community remains a frequent target for turban attacks," Wa'anganda explained.

He criticized the lack of military presence in the area, lamenting that local hunters were left alone to defend the community without adequate support from formal security agencies. "We have no soldiers here. When we call for help, security forces often fail to respond," he said.

While acknowledging the Adamawa State Government's efforts to strengthen local vigilante groups, Wa'anganda insisted that more robust action was needed. He called for the immediate deployment of a full battalion to the area to enable displaced residents to safely return to their homes and farmlands.

"The current security arrangement is grossly inadequate," he warned. "We urgently need a strong military presence to restore peace and protect our people."

Yemen strikes Truman carrier and Israeli target in occupied Palestine
Betcha they missed this time, just like Allah has chosen them to miss almost every single previous time.
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] The Yemen

i Armed Forces issued the following statement:

''During the past hours, the American enemy committed two massacres: the first in Sana'a and the second targeting a shelter for migrants colonists from several African countries in Saada province, northern Yemen. These massacres resulted in dozens of deaders and maimed.

In response to this aggression and the massacres against civilians, the Armed Forces targeted the American aircraft carrier ''Truman'' and its escorting warships. A joint operation was carried out by the Naval Forces, the Drone Air Force, and the Missile Force using several cruise and ballistic missiles and drones over the past hours.

As a result of the festivities and confrontations, the aircraft carrier was forced to retreat and move away from its previous position, heading toward the far north of the Red Sea.

The Yemeni Armed Forces will continue to target and pursue the aircraft carrier and all hostile warships in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea until the aggression against Yemen ceases.

In support of the oppressed Paleostinian people and their brave fighters, the Drone Air Force also carried out a military operation targeting a vital Israeli site in the occupied Ashkelon area using a drone of the ''Yafa'' type.

We continue, relying on Allah, to prevent Israeli navigation in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea. We continue, trusting in Allah, to confront and resist American aggression. We continue, with confidence in Allah, to support and assist our steadfast brothers in the Gazoo

The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. #1  Yep - they missed again but not by much this time. Apparently the Truman made a hard turn (drifting in effect) to avoid a Houthi missile that had made it through most of the defensive envelope. The USS Gravely knocked it down using their CIWS/Phlanx system roughly 200 meters off the starboard side. The abrupt maneuver led to an F/A18 ($72m) and the attached tug sliding off into the sea. That's the second F/A18 lost so far. In December the USS Gettysburg had a friendly fire incident knocking down an F/A18 while defending against Houthi missiles. If we keep putting ships in harms way there will eventually be naval losses. It's all very easy to disparage the Houthi forces, but the US also disparaged the Vietnamese and Afghan military as well. While they took disproportionate losses, how many are we prepared to accept? It's not like the navy is producing ships as quickly as the Chinese are.

Yemen says US strike on migrant centre kills 30 68
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] At least 30 people were killed as a result of US military airstrikes on a detention center for migrants from African countries in the city of Saada, located in northwestern Yemen. This was reported by the Yemeni TV channel Al Masirah, controlled by the Shiite movement Ansar Allah (Houthis).

According to the TV channel, US Army fighter jets struck several times at a detention center for migrants from African countries, which at that time held 115 people, after which “rescuers have so far pulled 30 bodies from the rubble.”

It is noted that at least 50 more victims were hospitalized and most of them are in serious condition.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, earlier on April 28, at least eight people, including women and children, were killed in a US airstrike on the Yemeni capital Sanaa. Several more people were wounded.

Later that day, it was reported that three Russian sailors from the oil tanker Seven Pearls had been wounded in US airstrikes on a port in Yemen. The victims were taken to Sanaa for treatment.

Houthis say death toll reaches at least 68 in US strike on Yemen detention center for African migrants
[IsraelTimes] Houthi rebel-controlled media in Yemen says that US strikes targeted a migrant detention center in the movement’s stronghold of Saada, killing at least 68 people.

The US military has hit the Iran-backed Houthis with near-daily strikes since March 15 in an operation dubbed “Rough Rider,” seeking to end the threat they pose to vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

The Houthis have been launching strikes targeting Israel and Western vessels in the Red Sea, in what they describe as solidarity with the Palestinians, since Hamas conducted the worst-ever attack on Israel in October 2023.

Yesterday, the US military said it has hit more than 800 targets in Yemen since mid-March, killing hundreds of Houthi rebels including members of the group’s leadership.

“The civil defense has announced that 68 African migrants were killed and 47 others wounded in the US attack targeting a center for illegal migrants in the city of Saada,” the Houthis’ Al-Masirah TV said.

AFP could not independently confirm the veracity of Al-Masirah’s claim that the strikes had hit a migrant detention center, or the toll.

AFP has contacted the US military for comment.

According to a statement cited by Al-Masirah from the Houthi administration’s interior ministry, the center housed “115 migrants, all from Africa.”

The broadcaster showed footage of bodies stuck under the rubble and of rescuers working to help the casualties.

Each year, tens of thousands of migrants brave the Eastern Route from the Horn of Africa, seeking to escape conflict, natural disasters and poor economic prospects by sailing across the Red Sea toward the oil-rich Gulf.

Many hope for employment as laborers or domestic workers in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Arab countries, though they face a perilous journey through war-torn Yemen.

US says it won’t reveal specific details on Yemen strikes ‘to preserve operational security’
The US military says it will not reveal specific details about its military strikes in Yemen, citing what it called the need “to preserve operational security” while also saying the strikes had “lethal effects” on Houthi rebels.

US President Donald Trump ordered the intensification of strikes on Yemen last month, with his administration saying it will continue assaulting Iran-backed Houthi rebels until they stop attacking Red Sea shipping.

Recent US strikes have killed dozens, including 74 at an oil terminal in mid-April in what was the deadliest strike in Yemen under Trump so far, according to the Houthi-run health ministry.

“To preserve operational security, we have intentionally limited disclosing details of our ongoing or future operations. We are very deliberate in our operational approach, but will not reveal specifics about what we’ve done or what we will do,” the US Central Command says in a statement.

The military says it has struck over 800 targets since mid-March that it says killed hundreds of Houthi fighters and numerous Houthi leaders as well as destroyed the militant group’s facilities.

F-18 fighter jet crashes from USS Harry Truman aircraft carrier in Red Sea
The F-18E Super Hornet fighter-bomber fell from the deck of the American aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman and sank in the Red Sea. This was reported on April 28 by the press service of the US Navy.

"The aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman lost an F-18E Super Hornet assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 136 and a tow tractor during carrier operations in the Red Sea," the department said in a statement.

It is noted that the fighter was being towed in the hangar deck when control was lost over it. The aircraft and the tractor fell overboard and sank. All crew members managed to leave the aircraft and were found, one sailor was injured, he received a slight wound.

Another F18 Splashed Fighting Houthis (December Loss Due to Unfriendly Fire by the Gettysburg) $73M per unit...
A Navy F/A-18E Super Hornet and a tow tractor fell off the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman on Monday while it was at sea, the service announced. All personnel are accounted for, and one sailor sustained what was described as a “minor injury,” in a Navy news release.

A U.S. official told Task & Purpose that initial reports indicate the mishap occurred as the Truman was making a hard turn amid a Houthi attack. No information about the nature of the threat was immediately available.

Both the Truman and a second aircraft carrier, USS Carl Vinson, are deployed to the Red Sea as part of ongoing operations against Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen. Since March 15, U.S. forces have attacked more than 800 Houthi targets.

“The F/A-18E was actively under tow in the hangar bay when the move crew lost control of the aircraft,” the news release says. “The aircraft and tow tractor were lost overboard.”

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
The case of the preparation of an attack on a temple in Sunzha has reached court
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] By the end of the investigation, three defendants remained in the case of the preparation of an attack on security forces and an Orthodox church in Sunzha. The prosecution requested compulsory treatment for one of them.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot", in August 2024 it became known  about the detention of six residents of Ingushetia, who, according to the investigation, were preparing attacks on security forces and an Orthodox church in Sunzha. One of the suspects stated that he received instructions from Syria, from a native of Dagestan living there. According to information from the Magas District Court, three of the suspects were minors at the time of their detention.

On April 28, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Ingushetia reported the completion of the investigation into the case of preparation of a terrorist act in Sunzha. The case of two local residents, one of whom is a minor, was sent to court.

The young people are accused of involvement in an illegal armed group, terrorist activity, preparation of a terrorist act, as well as illegal trafficking of weapons and explosive devices.

According to the investigation, in August 2024, three minors from Ingushetia joined an international terrorist organization banned in Russia. They planned to commit an armed attack on law enforcement officers and a terrorist act in Sunzha, according to a publication on the department's official VKontakte page.

The investigation believes that the three teenagers were able to purchase automatic firearms and explosive devices, which they hid in a cache on the outskirts of the Sunzhensky District of Ingushetia. The accused have been remanded in custody, the Investigative Committee said in a statement.

The case has been sent to court for consideration on the merits, and the materials concerning the third defendant, also a minor, have been separated into a separate proceeding: the prosecution believes that “compulsory medical measures” should be applied to him. According to Article 97 of the Criminal Code of Russia, such measures are applied to people who committed a crime in a state of insanity or to people with mental disorders.

The security forces announced the prevention of an attack on an Orthodox church in Sunzha a month after the high-profile terrorist attack in Dagestan: on June 23, on Trinity Day, which is one of the main Christian holidays, militants  attacked synagogues and Orthodox churches in Derbent and Makhachkala. As a result, at least 22 people were killed and 46 were injured.

Sweden sentences four teens over shooting attack on Israeli defense company

[IsraelTimes] No one injured in attack on Elbit Systems’ offices in Gothenburg last October, months after bomb plot foiled by police

A Swedish court sentenced four teenagers to prison on Monday for their involvement in a shooting attack that targeted an office of Israeli defense contractor Elbit Systems in Gothenburg last year.

A 13-year-old boy opened fire on the entrance to the firm’s office on October 10, 2024.

He was arrested shortly after but was not charged since he was below Sweden’s age of criminal responsibility of 15.

No one was injured in the shooting in Sweden’s second-largest city. The verdict did not mention any motive for the attack.

However,
if you can't say something nice about a person some juicy gossip will go well...
the Gothenburg district court sentenced four others on Monday for their roles in recruiting the young boy, supplying the gun and organizing the shooting.

One 19-year-old was handed a five-year prison sentence for "involving a minor in a crime," as well as aiding a weapons offense and aiding an unlawful threat.

Another 19-year-old was also given a five-year sentence, and a third was given four years and 11 months.

A 15-year-old boy was sentenced to a year and eight months of juvenile detention.

According to the prosecution, the identity of the criminal mastermind of the shooting was still unknown, the court said in its ruling.

In June of last year, police said they had found a "suspected explosive object" outside the same Elbit offices in Gothenburg, later jailing three suspects in connection to the attempted attack.

Two insulated flasks packed with plastic explosives were found outside the offices of Elbit Systems on June 4.

Elbit, a major Israeli military contractor, is known for its unmanned aerial systems such as the Hermes 900 drone, one of the Israeli military’s most utilized autonomous weapons and a significant Israeli arms export to militaries around the globe.

The war has seen a sharp rise in attacks on Scandinavia’s 25,000-strong Jewish community. The increased threat to Jewish and Israeli targets led police in neighboring Norway to up their terrorism threat assessment to the second-highest level.

Fifth Column
Tensions boil in Brooklyn after clashes outside synagogue, threats to Jewish community
Responding to this story from yesterday — this one is vile. The anti-Zionists staged their usual vicious protest, but this time in a Jewish neighbourhood. Then, when the locals pushed back, the invaders released a fragment of film that made it look like the locals were the aggressors.
[IsraelTimes] Anti-Israel activists threaten local community ahead of protest that comes in response to video of Jews pursuing woman down street at scene of anti-Israel rally at synagogue

Tensions boiled in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Crown Heights on Monday after videos showed Jews harassing pedestrians at an anti-Israel demonstration, and a call to protest that included threats against the Jewish community. The friction started in the US neighborhood, the home base of the Chabad-Lubavitch Hasidic movement, during a Thursday visit by far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.

Ben Gvir visited Chabad’s World Headquarters at 770 Eastern Parkway, a synagogue and revered site that is located in the heart of the Jewish community. Anti-Israel demonstrators gathered outside the synagogue after a call by the hardline anti-Israel activist group Within Our Lifetime. The group regularly calls for Israel’s destruction, has been linked to violent mostly peaceful hate crimes, and has caused chaos on the city’s streets since Hamas
..a regional Iranian catspaw,...
’s October 2023 onslaught.

"He’s being hosted at 770 Eastern Parkway by the racist Zionist Lubavitch sect — yes, the same place where tunnels were uncovered," group leader Nerdeen Kiswani said on X. A rogue group of students dug out a space near the synagogue last year, part of an unauthorized attempt to expand the site. The incident gave rise to a wave of antisemitic conspiracies.

Kiswani later said that demonstrators "are being attacked by racist Lubavitchers."

"This is a pogrom," she said, referring to the historical deadly persecution of Jews in Europe.

Videos from the scene showed the two sides shouting at each other, with police in the middle.

The protest at the holy site drew outrage from local and politicians.

Yaacov Behrman, a Chabad community leader, said on X that the protesters gathered at "the very heart of this heavily populated Jewish neighborhood — spewing hateful, inflammatory rhetoric at innocent passersby." Behrman said the chants included "We don’t want no Zionists here," "We don’t want no two states, we want all of it," and "Resistance® is justified."

Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York said: "The heinous violence last night outside the Chabad-Lubavitch world headquarters in Brooklyn is horrifying and unacceptable."

"I am calling for an immediate federal investigation into these dangerous organizations and their funding networks. Jewish Americans must never feel unsafe in their own communities," she said.

Anti-Israel protesters have rarely held demonstrations in Orthodox neighborhoods in New York. A demonstration in February in Boro Park was also vitriolic and provoked widespread condemnation from city leaders. Past protests outside synagogues have also touched a nerve with local Jews.

The NYPD told The Times of Israel that six individuals were taken into custody at the protest. Five were issued summonses and one, a man from New Jersey, was charged with assault, criminal mischief and harassment.

Later, videos emerged showing a group of Jews following a woman down a street, shouting and chanting "Death to Arabs" in Hebrew. Some of the demonstrators kicked at the woman and one threw a traffic cone at her while a police officer escorted her down a street. Other images showed a different woman in a keffiyeh with a bloodied face.

The former woman claimed in an News Agency that Dare Not be Named interview that she hadn’t been part of the anti-Israel protest and that she wore a scarf over her face to not be filmed. She asserted that the group threatened to rape her and that she had feared for her life and now fears to walk around the neighborhood.

But he's a Dem, so the rubes will vote for him next election too, so he's what they deserve...
on Sunday said the NYPD was investigating the festivities.

Adams said in a statement that the protesters "surrounded the Chabad Lubavitch World Headquarters — a Jewish house of worship."

"Initial reports indicate that one female protester was isolated from her group, harassed by counter-protesters, and suffered injuries," Adams said in a statement. "In another incident, a second woman was subjected to vile threatening by counter-protesters."

The statement said the "NYPD is investigating these incidents."

"None of this is acceptable. In fact, it is despicable," Adams said. "We will not tolerate violence, trespassing, menacing, or threatening. Hate has no place in our city."

On Monday, calls circulated on social media for protests against the Crown Heights Jewish community.

A group called the Bronx Paleostine Solidarity Committee posted threats against the community on social media.

"Waiting for the sleeping giant that is Caribbean Brooklyn, who have long suffered abuse and oppression at the hands of the racist Zionist Chabad Lubavitch to rise up against them," the post said.

"Black people in Brooklyn are violent mostly peacefully exploited via rents to then feed their genocidal land grabs in Paleostine," it said, referring to the antisemitic "Jewish landlords" trope.

"What would happen if Carribean Brooklyn brought that vybz kartel Barclays energy with ferocity and tore down these fucking monsters!?" it said.

A follow-up post said: "Y’all will not eat off Black people forever."

Another post said: "Crown Heights run it back."

"We will flood the streets of Crown’s Heights to inform them Zionism is not welcome here," it said.

The post called for a protest starting at the Barclays Center, around an hour’s walk from 770.

Local media reported a heavy police presence in the area ahead of the demonstration.

A Chabad spokesperson, Rabbi Motti Seligson, condemned both sides in a statement.

"The violent mostly peaceful provocateurs who called for the genocide of Jews in support of holy warriors and terrorism — outside a synagogue, in a Jewish neighborhood, where some of the worst antisemitic violence in American history was perpetrated, and where many residents share deep bonds with the victims of Oct 7 — did so in order to intimidate, provoke, and instill fear," Seligson said on X. "We condemn the crude language and violence of the small breakaway group of young people; such actions are entirely unacceptable and wholly antithetical to the Torah’s values. The fact that a possibly uninvolved bystander got pulled into the melee further underscores the point."

The leadership of 770 urged students to stay away from the protest, releasing a letter that said: "You must not be present at the demonstration under any circumstances, and certainly must not, Heaven forbid, be drawn into any confrontations."

"It is important to remember that there are deliberate efforts to provoke members of our community into disturbances in order to record incidents and incite against us," the letter said, according to the local Collive news site. "We must distance ourselves completely and remain focused on our true mission—the study of Torah."

The tensions in the neighborhood and accusations of a pogrom by Jews were inflammatory because of race riots against the Jewish community in Crown Heights in 1991 that killed two people. The riots were widely described as an anti-Jewish pogrom.

JAMMU AND KASHMIR
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has called one-day special session of Legislative Assembly on Monday to pay homage and discuss the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives.

As many as 629 Indians, including 13 diplomats and officials, have returned from Pakistan through the international border crossing located in Punjab.

Speaking to Russian TV channel, Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif sought China and Russia's help in investigating of Pahalgam attack.

Terrorists and their backers carried out the Pahalgam attack to destroy Kashmir again as they did not like the return of peace and prosperity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday and vowed the "harshest" response to the "perpetrators and conspirators"

At least 54 terrorists belonging to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have been killed while trying to infiltrate from Afghanistan into northwest Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military's media wing said on Sunday.

Authorities here have demolished the houses of three alleged active terrorists in Bandipora, Pulwama and Shopian districts of Jammu and Kashmir as security forces continued their crackdown on the terror ecosystem following the Pahalgam terror attack. With this, nine houses of suspected terrorists and overground workers of terror outfits have been razed so far since the April 22 attack in the lush meadows of Baisaran that killed 26 people and left the nation grief-stricken and fuming.

Security Forces Narrow In On Pahalgam Terrorists 'Four Times' In South Kashmir
[OneIndia] Security forces have located the Pahalgam attackers "at least four times" at various locations over the past five days, coming "very close" to cornering them in the forests of South Kashmir - and, on one occasion, even exchanging fire with them, The Indian Express reported.

According to sources, the terrorists were tracked using information from local residents, intelligence inputs, and combing operations.

"It's a cat and mouse game. There have been instances where they have been visibly located. But by the time they could be engaged, they had escaped. The forests are extremely dense, making it difficult to pursue them even after spotting them. However, we are confident we will capture them; it is only a matter of days," an officer from the military establishment told the newspaper.

The Army, in coordination with Central Armed Police Forces and the Jammu and Kashmir Police, has been conducting cordon and search operations in the forests surrounding Pahalgam in pursuit of the four terrorists - including two from Pakistan - responsible for the killing of 26 people at Baisaran meadow on 21 April.

Sources indicated that the terrorists were first sighted near Hapat Nar village in Pahalgam tehsil, Anantnag, but managed to escape by exploiting the dense terrain.

Subsequently, they were reportedly spotted in the forests of Kulgam, where a brief exchange of fire occurred with security forces before they fled once more.

The group was later located near the Tral ridge and then in Kokernag, where they are currently believed to be operating.

Sources said the manhunt has been complicated by the terrorists' extreme caution in securing supplies.

"Typically, terrorists need to arrange for food, which often draws them to villages. At times, they use local contacts to bring supplies to them in the forests, generating human intelligence that gives security forces an opportunity to act. However, these individuals are operating with great care," said an officer.

"We are aware of an incident where they entered a house at dinner time, seized food, and fled. By the time security forces were alerted and arrived, significant time had passed, allowing the terrorists to escape," he added.

Another complication, sources mentioned, is the lighter snowfall in the Kishtwar range this season.

"This provides the terrorists with the opportunity to cross towards the Jammu side, where the forests are denser and the terrain more challenging. They have been using the Kishtwar range to manoeuvre, but we believe they are still within South Kashmir," the officer said.

"There is a 'front door' to the Kashmir side and a 'back door' leading towards Jammu. Recently, foreign terrorists have increasingly been infiltrating and operating via the Jammu side. Our counter-infiltration grid is not as robust there compared to North Kashmir," he noted.

Security forces remain optimistic that the terrorists will eventually make a mistake and be neutralised. For instance, sources revealed that the attackers took two mobile phones from the tourists they killed at Baisaran.

"It is anticipated that these phones may be used to establish communication locally or across the border. Our technical intelligence network is closely monitoring these devices for potential leads," they said.

Meanwhile, the counter-infiltration grid on both the Jammu and Kashmir sides has been strengthened, and border forces placed on high alert to prevent the terrorists from escaping across.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police are also interrogating suspected overground workers linked to terror outfits in South Kashmir to gather intelligence and ascertain whether additional individuals were involved in the attack.

The investigation is focusing on the logistical support the terrorists may have received in planning and executing the assault.

Turkey Sends Combat Equipment To Pakistan Amid Rising India-Pakistan Tensions After Pahalgam Attack
[OneIndia] Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack, Turkey has shown its support for Islamabad by sending combat equipment. A Turkish Air Force C-130 Hercules military transport aircraft arrived in Karachi on Sunday, carrying military supplies.

Sources indicate that this move forms part of broader defence cooperation between the two nations. In addition to Karachi, up to six Turkish C-130 aircraft have reportedly landed at a military base in Islamabad, underlining Turkey's backing of Pakistan, particularly as Pakistan struggles to manage growing challenges along its international borders.

Both Turkish and Pakistani sources have confirmed the transfer of military cargo, although precise details of the shipments have not been disclosed. Significantly, Turkey is standing by Pakistan at a time of heightened regional instability, especially in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack and the renewed conflict between India and Pakistan over Kashmir.

Turkey's military assistance complements similar support from China, which has reportedly supplied drones to enhance Pakistan's defensive capabilities. This strategic collaboration underscores the strengthening defence ties among Turkey, Pakistan, and China. Analysts monitoring these developments suggest that these alliances are reshaping South Asia's geopolitical landscape, particularly as military activity across the region continues to intensify. For Pakistan, which is currently mobilising resources along its borders, the arrival of this military equipment is seen as crucial reinforcement amid mounting threats. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has activated several key air bases - including Pensi, Skardu, and Swat - in response to rising regional tensions with India. Fighter jets including F-16s, J-10s, and JF-17s have been deployed at these bases, with combat air patrols (CAP) already underway. This initiative is part of the PAF's broader strategy to bolster its defensive capabilities and ensure swift response readiness. It is noteworthy that Skardu airbase has been upgraded to serve as a critical hub, supporting Pakistan's fighter aircraft in air defence operations, surveillance, and combat readiness.

Iraq
Drone attack injures three Peshmerga in Duhok province
[Rudaw] An unidentified drone carrying explosives targeted Peshmerga forces in the Deraluk subdistrict of Duhok province on Monday, injuring three personnel, local sources told Rudaw.

"Yesterday, a Peshmerga force was deployed at a new position near Balave village. At 3pm today, a drone fell on that Peshmerga position; we don't know what damages occurred," Faiq Balavayi, a resident of Balave village in Amedi district’s Deraluk, told Rudaw on Monday.

A source from Amedi’s health directorate told Rudaw on condition of anonymity that three Peshmerga personnel were affected by the incident and transferred to the city’s main hospital.

"Three maimed Peshmerga were transported to our hospital. All three are in stable, pH balanced condition and have received initial treatment. One of them will remain here for treatment, while the other two maimed will be transferred to Duhok, but the condition of all three is stable," they said.

Rudaw's correspondent on the ground reported that two of the Peshmerga that were hospitalized due to physical injuries while the third was experiencing psychological destress.

Kamaran Osman, a member of the US-based Community Peacemaker Teams (CPT), told Rudaw on Monday that the attack occurred while "Peshmerga forces were setting up a military checkpoint" in Balave.

According to Osman, a "drone flew over them and was shot at from an unknown source." However,
we can't all be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the curb and applaud when they go by...
he clarified that it was not the Peshmerga forces setting up the checkpoint who fired at the drone. The drone subsequently "went kaboom! above the checkpoint," resulting in light injuries.

The area is known for armed conflict between the Ottoman Turkish army and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

Strip, killing and injuring dozens of civilians.

According to local media sources, Israeli occupation forces also continued today to detonate more homes and displace families in the Gaza Strip, further exacerbating the dire humanitarian suffering of the population.

According to the Paleostinian Information Center (PIC), the Israeli attacks have continued across the Gaza Strip, including an Israeli strike that killed four people and injured several others near the Abu Mazen rotary in the west of Gaza City.

In southern Gaza, four children were maimed when an Israeli drone bombed a bicycle they were using to carry a bag of flour in Abasan al-Kabira town, east of Khan Yunis.

The bodies of two deaders were reportedly recovered from the rubble of a house that was bombed yesterday in Jorat al-Lout in Khan Yunis.

The Israeli army also bombed a tent sheltering a displaced family in ash-Shafi'i refugee camp in western Khan Yunis, killing two civilians and injuring others.

In central Gaza, a girl child was martyred following an Israeli Arclight airstrike

Casualties were also reported following Israeli strikes on swaths of agricultural land in al-Zawaida town in central Gaza.

10 civilians were also massacred and others were maimed when an Israeli airstrike targeted a house belonging to the family of Mahadi in Jabalia refugee camp, north of Gaza.

Another airstrike on a house belonging to the family of al-Ghammari in the northwest of Gaza City claimed the lives of seven people.

The Israeli occupation army also launched attacks on other areas of the Gaza Strip last night and today, killing and wounding more civilians, including children and women.

IDF uses new Bar rockets for the first time during fighting in Gaza
[IsraelTimes] The IDF says it has made its first operational use of a new artillery weapon in the Gaza Strip.

The Bar rockets, developed by Elbit, were used by the 282nd Artillery Regiment to hit targets in southern Gaza amid the ongoing offensive against Hamas.

According to the military, the Bar rockets feature a “navigation mechanism tailored to challenging combat environments,” and they are able to strike targets within “a very short time.”

Bar rockets are set to replace the IDF’s aging Romach rockets, which are launched from M270 Multiple Launch Rocket Systems.

Iran blames negligence for port blast that killed 70
[PUNCHNG] Iran's interior minister on Monday blamed ''negligence'' for a massive explosion that killed 70 people at the country's largest commercial port, with firefighters still battling a blaze at the facility two days later.

The blast occurred on Saturday at the Shahid Rajaee Port in Iran's south, near the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a waterway one-fifth of global oil output passes.

''Unfortunately, the corpse count has reached 70, and the firefighting effort is almost in its final stages,'' Mehrdad Hassanzadeh, the crisis management director of Hormozgan province where the port is located, told state TV.

Officials have said more than 1,000 people were maimed, with Hassanzadeh noting most had already been released from the hospital after treatment.

On Monday, Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni told state TV that ''culprits have been identified and summoned'', and that the blast was caused by ''shortcomings, including noncompliance with safety precautions and negligence''.

The committee investigating the causes of the blast also made similar remarks.

Momeni, who has been in the area since hours after the blast, said the ''investigation is still underway''.

State TV showed images of firefighters still dousing the flames Monday, and said the damage would be assessed after the fire was fully controlled.

Heavy charcoal-black smoke continued to billow over low flames at part of the site, above which a firefighting helicopter flew, pictures from the Iranian Red Islamic Thingy showed.
