[PJ] Those wacky, right-wing, tinfoil-hat people (like myself) are correct yet again.
After defense attorneys "combed through a mountain of discovery," they added a footnote to their 41-page motion to dismiss charges related to Jan. 6.
Attorneys added a note that "At least 20 FBI and ATF assets were embedded around the Capitol on J6," to page 6 of the motion, which they filed to dismiss charges of seditious conspiracy and obstruction charges against 10 members of the "Oath Keepers," a right-leaning, pro-Constitution group of Americans.
The "mountain of discovery" included FD-302 forms, which FBI agents fill out after they interview people.
The motion to dismiss, filed by defense attorney David W. Fischer, also stated that defense attorneys had "not found one iota of proof" that the ten Oath Keepers "had any plan, intention, design, or scheme to specifically enter the Capitol Building on J6."
Many Americans, especially J6 defendants and their lawyers, have long maintained that undercover feds were involved in the Jan. 6 protest-turned-melee.
FACT-O-RAMA! If 300,000 Americans descend upon Washington D.C. and only 200 get violent, that would be the true meaning of "mostly peaceful."
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) ripped Jill Sanborn, executive assistant director of the FBI’s national security division, about this very topic on Jan. 11, 2022, in a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.
"How many FBI agents or confidential informants actively participated in the events of Jan. 6," Cruz asked Sanborn.
"Sir, I’m sure you can appreciate that I can’t go into the specifics of sources and methods," Sanborn answered.
"Did any FBI agents or confidential informants actively participate in the events of Jan. 6, yes or no" Cruz continued.
"Sir, I can’t answer that," Sanborn responded.
"Did any FBI agents or confidential informants commit crimes of violence on Jan. 6?" Cruz asked.

/\ Yes, a bit more than the 20 game drivers and bush beaters. Those dressed in mufti, wearing red MAGA caps out in the crowd.
The total element likely included a nearby Command & Control cell, communications and logistics package, Full Motion Video back to Main. In addition, a Quick Reaction Force (QRF) ....appearing by the way, out of nowhere (see graphic), all kitted out in camo, kevlar, M4's, and med support element, escorting pols and staffers to designated safe areas and manning blocking positions for the Capital Police.
There appeared to be pre-designated channeling routes with "no-go" corridors and egress points. The young lady that was fatally shot may have attempted access to a "no-go" area.
This was something a bit more than a "hey Lenny, take a few guys and go see what those foks are up to." They had a plan. They obviously worked the plan.

I think they have a class of non-feds that work for the feds as informant or whatever. I suspect there were a large number of these slithering around the capital that day.

Ref #5: No, I dom't look for full video disclosure to happen. If you had video disclosure (along with audio) reporting, the herding and channeling plan might become quite obvious.
This was a carefully and professionally managed Federal Law Enforcement and media event which exploited a large number of naive US citizens. Like the Waco siege, it will likely not happen again. People now know that this gov't is capable of anything.
[FOXLA] A former Democratic political donor who supplied drugs to two men who overdosed in his West Hollywood apartment was sentenced Thursday to 30 years in federal prison.
Ed Buck ...Big time Dem donor accused of being a homosexual predator. By the time the third party boy corpse is found OD'd in your house you need a really good lawyer really bad... , who was found guilty last year of nine felony counts, faced between 20 years and life in federal prison, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
In a sentencing memorandum, federal prosecutors said he lured young Black men who were often experiencing homelessness, addiction, and/or poverty to his apartment for sexually charged sessions in which he would inject them with methamphetamine and drug them with sedatives, with and without their consent.
"Buck's insatiable appetite for injecting people turned lethal twice," according to the memo, which recommends a life sentence.
"He will be a danger to the community until the day he dies," Assistant U.S. Attorney Chelsea Norell told the court.
Before he was sentenced, Buck spoke briefly to U.S. District Judge Christina A. Snyder, and apologized "for my part in the tragic deaths of Gemmel and Timothy."
"These are men I cared for and loved," Buck said. "I did not cause their deaths."
He asked Snyder to "look at the good in my life," saying he is not the caricature of a "meth-fueled ax killer" that the government portrayed him to be.
Snyder called the case "one of the most difficult and tragic" she has ever presided over.
"These lives mattered," she said. "What happened here was reprehensible conduct."

He's nearly 70 and will likely be pardoned soon due to medical necessity. The Washington D.C. community sticks together, just ask any of the visitors to Little St James Island.
[THEEPOCHTIMES] Elon Musk’s ambitious bid to take Twitter private under his ownership has hit a roadblock as Saudi investors are rejecting the Tesla CEO’s offer, causing Twitter shares to drop and setting the stage for a bitter struggle for control of the social media giant.
On Thursday, several hours after Musk announced his "final offer" to buy Twitter outright, the Saudi Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Fifteen of the nineteen WTC hijackers were Saudis, and most major jihadi commanders were Saudis, to include Osama bin Laden. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman quietly folded that tent in 2016, doing terrible things to the guys running it, and has since been dragging the kingdom into the current century... n Prince Al Waleed bin Talal Al Saud responded that the offer was not acceptable to him. Al Waleed purchased a 5.2 percent stake in the company in 2015, and if it is assumed that he has retained these shares, he would count among Twitter’s largest shareholders (it has been reported that Al Waleed sold many of his shares in the subsequent years).
"I don’t believe that the proposed offer by @elonmusk ($54.20) comes close to the intrinsic value of @Twitter given its growth prospects," said Al Waleed in a tweet. "Being one of the largest & long-term shareholders of Twitter @Kingdom_KHC & I reject this offer."
Musk retorted on Twitter, implicitly criticizing the Saudi Arabian government and alleging that Waleed’s rejection was political in nature.
"Interesting. Just two questions, if I may," said Musk in response. "How much of Twitter does the Kingdom own, directly & indirectly? What are the Kingdom’s views on journalistic freedom of speech?"

After Biden finished his speech, he turned around and tried to shake hands with thin air and then wandered around looking confused pic.twitter.com/ZN00TLdUUo
“Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it.” ― Laurence J. Peter, The Peter Principle
Just for a second, say the 25th is used and Biden is ushered out.
VP Harris becomes President and the Speaker of the House (Nancy Pelosi) become VP.
This is an example of the Peter Principle in Politics.
Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.*
*note that when the VP becomes the Prez, there is no VP to cast a tie vote breaker.

Looks like the script, or an ear piece, told him to turn to his right and shake hands with somebody. Whoever that was supposed to be wasn't there and Biden was unable to switch gears fast enough to keep from looking like the idiot that he is.

[NYPOST] Former Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano was sentenced to 12 years behind bars Thursday for accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes from a Queens restaurateur.
His wife Linda — who was convicted of helping to cover up the corrupt arrangement — was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment.
Judge Joan Azrack, who handed down the prison terms to the Bethpage couple in two separate hearings in Central Islip federal court, also ordered Mangano, 60, to pay a $20,000 fine.
Mangano was convicted in 2019 of accepting bribes and kickbacks from the restaurateur, Harendra Singh, including five paid vacations, a pricey watch, hardwood flooring for his home, a $3,600 vibrating chair and a $100,000 per year no-show job for Linda, 59.
In exchange, the once-powerful politician — who served in his position from 2010 to 2017 — pressured local officials to guarantee $20 million in loans for Singh.
The scheme lasted for five years beginning in 2010 and continuing through 2015, prosecutors said at trial.

[DAILYCALLER] The Republican National Committee (RNC) unanimously voted Thursday to withdraw from the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) and is pledging to find another venue to hold debates.
CPD has hosted general presidential election debates since 1988 and was originally a joint venture of the Republican and Democratic Parties. However, it's easy to be generous with someone else's money... in recent years, Republican candidates and their allies have complained that the commission is biased towards Democrats. They have cited the campaign donations and personal ties of members of the commission, as well as the treatment of GOP nominees.
"Debates are an important part of the democratic process, and the RNC is committed to free and fair debates. The Commission on Presidential Debates is biased and has refused to enact simple and common sense reforms to help ensure fair debates including hosting debates before voting begins and selecting moderators who have never worked for candidates on the debate stage," RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in a statement.

Agree to a long discussion format with Joe Rogan as moderator. Each side can film it and edit how they like. Raw footage can then be released later to ensure some honesty in the editing.

I haven't bothered to watch any debates since Kennedy vs Nixon in 1960. The TV is good for fire and smoke, and worthless for substance. Let the candidates post writings, commented on by the other candidates, to which replies are made by other candidates. No other contributors allowed. Might make for interesting reading this way.

I seem to have awoken in an alternate time-line where the Republicans have a spine.
Hey, what if we have a more traditional style of debate? Let the candidates contend one-on-one in single combat. People would pay to watch that!

The debate between Trump and Biden was good for one thing. That was when Biden straight up lied about Hunter's laptop being Russian disinformation. That kind of indisputable proof that he is a liar might be useful at some point in the future.

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
