Troops in Sector 3 Area of Responsibility have arrested two suspected terrorist collaborators in Monguno Local Government Area of Borno.
Security sources said the suspects were apprehended at about 3:10 p.m. on April 11 at Charlie 19 location in Monguno.
According to the sources, the suspects confessed during interrogation that they were contacted by a suspected terrorist to procure items and escort his wife and three young female children to his location at Kwatan Dowoshi in Kukawa Local Government Area.

Rijal al-Bas al-Shadid is yet another Iraqi Shiite militia on the IRGC payroll. They’ve announced attacks on American (and maybe Israeli) targets in Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. [TWZ] A KC-135 damaged in an Iranian strike has made its way to RAF Mildenhall in the UK thanks to field repairs.
The images, which show the aircraft dotted with the repairs from nose to tail, come to us from aviation photographer Andrew McKelvey. It is very likely this is one of the tankers damaged in the Iranian long-range strike on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia last month. The aircraft belongs to the Ohio Air National Guard’s 121st Air Refueling Wing.
While the attack on the base is said to have damaged five tankers, the full destruction inflicted by it and subsequent strikes on Prince Sultan Air Base remains murky, as do potential impacts to facilities and aircraft located across the region. The lack of regular satellite imagery from U.S. providers of the Middle East has made it harder to understand what has occurred, but as we state repeatedly, satellite images would not show more minor damage to aircraft, such as the shrapnel holes seen here.

While all tankers are precious assets, at least to a degree, due to the high demand on the fleet and its cumulative age, in this case there may be at least one positive side effect from the damage. Executing a battle damage repair plan in the field to get a KC-135 back in the air is a good real-life exercise, one that could prove vital if a future conflict in the Pacific were to erupt. Lessons will certainly be learned on many levels from Operation Epic Fury. And some of these lessons came the hard way even though they really shouldn’t have.
Regardless, the fact that this Stratotanker is flying again is a good thing and a testament to the airmen in the field that made it happen.
We will likely be seeing more patched-up tankers in the coming days and weeks as similar repairs are made and they make their way back to the United States for much more repairs.

Paleostine Action was proscribed last July after the group broke into defense plants and a Royal Air Force base, causing millions of pounds in damage and at one point attacking a police officer with a sledgehammer. The ban made it a criminal offense, punishable by up to 14 years in prison, to belong to or support the group.
In mid-February, the High Court in London upheld a challenge to the ban, saying it had interfered with the right to freedom of speech. London’s Metropolitan Police paused arrests in the wake of the High Court ruling, but announced in late March that it would resume them after the government was allowed to appeal the decision.
"I think that the actions of Paleostine Action were highly patriotic because they were pretty much protecting our country from getting involved in serious war crimes and breaking international law," Del Naja told the Press Association before his arrest, according to The Guardian. "How much more patriotic can you be than that?"
Six Paleostine Action activists are facing a retrial on a number of charges relating to a 2024 raid on Elbit’s UK factory, after they were acquitted of the charge of aggravated burglary. The retrial will concern criminal charges on which the jury failed to reach verdicts. It is due to take place in February 2027.
The initial verdict on the raid drew criticism from police, politicians and Jewish communal groups.
In a statement posted to his Instagram account on Monday, Del Naja wrote: "Throughout the Israeli genocide in Gaza most people, myself included, felt like they were gradually going mad. How could the world, including the British government, possibly allow this to happen?"
Israel strenuously rejects any accusations of genocide or war crimes in any of its campaigns, saying it never targets civilians and takes pains to minimize civilian casualties, and noting its efforts throughout most of the Gaza war to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid.
Del Naja continued: "That sense of madness was compounded by the inexplicable policies of many British news outlets (including the BBC) who refused to name the identity committing one atrocity after another, after another. It was Israel, & everybody knew it was Israel. Why wouldn’t they say so?" It was not immediately clear what policies Del Naja was referring to.
"On the topic of madness, in Britannia in 2026 you can be arrested under the Terrorism Act for sitting in silence, holding a cardboard sign stating that you oppose genocide & support non-violent mostly peaceful action to prevent it," he said.
"Of course, everyone knows this is total madness (including many of the coppers making these arrests, and the High Court judges who recently ruled them unlawful), and yet, somehow it continues," Del Naja continued.
"Everyone also knows that the sheer desperation of ’Paleostine Action’ activists vandalizing military equipment isn’t terrorism. No one actually believes that," he asserted.
Del Naja’s band, Massive Attack, has been outspoken in its anti-Israel politics for years, including by joining an initiative last year to block their music in Israel and to have their songs removed from Spotify over investments in a European defense start-up by the streaming platform’s founder.

Protesters on Monday said Israel’s air and ground offensive in southern Lebanon, along with the larger US-Israeli war on Iran, added to the urgency of the vote, which is expected later this week.
"This is the moment when Schumer and Gillibrand must listen to their constituents," said Sonya Meyerson-Knox, the communications director with Jewish Voice for Peace. "The majority of Americans and New Yorkers want a resolution to what the Israeli government is doing."

“Today, we began the process of establishing a new passage, and we will share this safe pathway with the maritime industry soon to encourage the free flow of commerce,” said Adm. Brad Cooper, commander of CENTCOM, as quoted as saying.
The press release added that “The Strait of Hormuz is an international sea passage and an essential trade corridor that supports regional and global economic prosperity. Additional US forces, including underwater drones, will join the clearance effort in the coming days.”
During the war, The New York Times reported that Iran had started laying naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz – effectively closing off the critical waterway to international shipping. About 20% of the world’s oil moves through that important chokepoint, as well as 20% of the world’s liquefied natural gas.

I haven’t seen any pix of recovered mines. It’s easy to say you are clearing mines - nobody is watching you do it. Maybe I’m just a little too cynical about government statements that “they are doing something”

Sweeping mines is fine. They could have mined the main channel to force ships into the tollbooth. I would have thought we would have seen them doing it. There will be video of the mines being blown up if any are detected.

The IDF says it is close to capturing Hezbollah stronghold Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon, after a major offensive led by the 98th Division.
The military says forces encircled the town, then pushed in, killing over 100 Hezbollah operatives, destroying infrastructure and seizing large amounts of weapons.
“Over the past week, the forces completed the encirclement and launched an offensive in the town of Bint Jbeil,” the IDF said.
Operations are ongoing, with commanders estimating a few more days to eliminate remaining fighters and secure the area.
The Israeli military has nearly completed the capture of the Hezbollah stronghold of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon, killing more than 100 members of the terror group in the area in the process, the Israel Defense Forces said Monday.
Also Monday, two IDF soldiers were moderately hurt and six lightly wounded by a Hezbollah drone attack in southern Lebanon.
Bint Jbeil is considered a symbol of Hezbollah power and the IDF has been encircling the town in recent weeks as it seeks to extend its control of southern Lebanon after the Iran-backed group broke the ceasefire that had been in place since November 2024 to support Tehran.
During the Second Lebanon War in 2006, the IDF battled the terror group in the town but failed to capture it fully. Earlier, in May 2000, after the IDF withdrew from southern Lebanon following an 18-year occupation, then-Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah delivered a victory speech in Bint Jbeil, where he infamously described Israel as “weaker than a spider web.”
The operation in Bint Jbeil was being led by the 98th Division with its Paratroopers and Commando brigades, along with the Givati Infantry Brigade.
The IDF said it initially isolated and encircled the town to prevent Hezbollah from bringing in reinforcements or escaping. At least 150 Hezbollah operatives, including members of the terror group’s elite Radwan Force, were estimated by the IDF to have been in the Bint Jbeil area ahead of the operation.
The 98th Division also carried out several commando operations as it worked to secure the town, a military official said.
“Over the past week, the forces completed the encirclement and launched an offensive in the town of Bint Jbeil,” the IDF said in a statement on Monday.
“The troops eliminated more than 100 terrorists from the Hezbollah terror organization in close-quarters combat and from the air, destroyed dozens of terrorist infrastructures, and located hundreds of weapons in the area,” the statement added.
During the operation, the military captured Bint Jbeil’s stadium, where Nasrallah delivered the infamous victory speech following the IDF’s withdrawal from southern Lebanon.
“Bint Jbeil 2000: There was someone here who spoke and boasted about webs and spiders. Today, that man no longer exists, the stadium is gone, and his words are worth nothing,” said 98th Division commander Brig. Gen. Guy Levy in a missive to troops on Monday
“Bint Jbeil 2026: Our forces control the area, destroying terror infrastructure and dozens of terrorists,” he added.
On Monday, the IDF also published footage showing the targeting of a Hezbollah operative in Bint Jbeil using a first-person view (FPV) drone.
According to the military, during the incident on Sunday, troops of the Egoz commando unit identified and killed a cell of Hezbollah operatives who had been planning to carry out drone attacks on the troops in Bint Jbeil. A short while later, another operative from the cell was identified, and he was targeted and killed using an FPV drone, the IDF said.
Hezbollah operatives have also been using FPV drones in attacks on Israeli troops in southern Lebanon.
In another incident on Sunday, the IDF said, three more Hezbollah operatives were identified by the Maglan commando unit in Bint Jbeil. Within a short while, the operatives were targeted and killed in an airstrike, the military said.
Since the IDF began its offensive in Bint Jbeil, the military had not detected any rocket attacks from the town on Israel. IDF troops, however, have come under fire by Hezbollah from Bint Jbeil, though the military official said the rate of attacks was slowing.
Several IDF soldiers have been wounded during the offensive in Bint Jbeil, according to the military. On Sunday, two paratroopers were moderately injured in a Hezbollah rocket attack in the area.
The official said he estimated that it would likely take a few more days to complete the operations in Bint Jbeil, during which the division aims to kill the remaining few dozen operatives there and locate the terror group’s infrastructure.
On Sunday, Lebanon’s official news agency reported “fierce clashes” between the Israeli military and Hezbollah in Bint Jbeil, and said that IDF troops were “still trying to infiltrate and take control of the remaining neighborhoods.”
Hezbollah said on Sunday that it had launched rockets at Israeli soldiers on the outskirts of the town. Last week, the terror group said it had used light arms and RPG fire against Israeli soldiers who were advancing in the town.
During the offensive in Bint Jbeil, the IDF announced on Sunday that it had raided a hospital in the town where armed Hezbollah operatives had been holed up, killing some 20 gunmen and seizing weapons in the process.
Hezbollah rockets continued to set off sirens across wide swaths of northern Israel on Monday. A woman was lightly wounded after a Hezbollah rocket struck in Nahariya on Monday afternoon, also causing damage.
The IDF said Monday evening that it had intercepted more than 10 drones launched by Hezbollah at Israel throughout the day.
The military also offered a fresh assessment of heavy strikes it carried out last week on Hezbollah targets across Lebanon, saying it believed at least 250 of the group’s operatives had been killed.
“Following continuous intelligence monitoring by the Military Intelligence Directorate” since the wide-scale airstrikes on April 8, the IDF said it can now confirm “that the number of terrorists eliminated in the strike in Beirut, the Beqaa Valley, and southern Lebanon has surpassed 250.”
Lebanon’s health ministry reported that the strikes killed more than 350. It did not differentiate between civilians and combatants.
According to the military, among the Hezbollah commanders killed in the strikes were Hassan Mustafa Nasser, head of Hezbollah’s logistics headquarters; Ali Qassem, Abu Ali Abbas, and Ali Hijazi, top commanders in Hezbollah’s intelligence unit; and Abu Muhammad Habib, the deputy chief of Hezbollah’s missile unit.
A senior Israeli intelligence officer said that these Hezbollah commanders had “extensive experience and knowledge that has now been cut short.”
“Within one minute, we struck dozens of Hezbollah command centers and eliminated hundreds of terrorists. The elimination of the commanders led to a strategic and broad impact that affected all dimensions of the organization’s capabilities,” the officer said.
Lebanon’s health ministry says Israeli attacks have killed over 1,800 people since hostilities escalated on March 2, in a toll that does not differentiate between fighters and civilians. According to IDF tallies released Friday, more than 1,400 Hezbollah operatives have been killed over the same period.
Twelve IDF soldiers have been killed in southern Lebanon amid the renewed fighting against Hezbollah, two civilians were killed by Hezbollah rockets, and an Israeli civilian was mistakenly killed in the north by Israeli artillery shelling.
The operation to capture Bint Jbeil comes with the first in-person meeting in the expected negotiations between Israel and Lebanon to take place on Tuesday in Washington.
The talks, which will be hosted at the US State Department, come amid reports of alarm from the White House over the scale of Israel’s massive wave of strikes in Lebanon following the ceasefire announcement between the US and Iran on Wednesday.
