Africa Horn
Mogadishu Airport, Halane Camp Targeted in Al-Shabaab Mortar Attacks
[Garowe] al-Shabaab
... an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia attempting to metastasize into Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and similar places, all ofwhich have enough problems without them...
bully boyz fired mortars at Mogadishu’s international airport and the nearby Halane military base early on Sunday, wounding two civilians in residential areas, security sources and locals said.

At least six mortars struck the Halane compound in the Wadajir district around 6:05 a.m. local time (0305 GMT), a heavily guarded facility housing Western embassies, international organizations, and the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
’s AUSSOM mission, according to witnesses and a security official.

Several rounds also landed in nearby neighborhoods, including Kaawo Godey, where a woman and a young man were maimed, residents reported. "We heard a loud explosion near our home. Two people were hurt, and it’s caused a lot of fear," a local, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
, told Garowe Online.

The AUSSOM confirmed the attack but said no personnel at the base were harmed. "The Halane base was targeted at 6:05 a.m., but there were no casualties among our forces," the spokesperson said.

Somali authorities have not issued a statement, and no group has grabbed credit. However,
you can observe a lot just by watching...
al-Shabaab, an al-Qaeda-linked Islamist group fighting to overthrow Somalia’s government, is suspected of carrying out the assault.

The attack comes a day after mortars hit near the presidential palace, with one striking the National Theatre and injuring several people. Earlier this week, the bully boyz targeted Aden Adde International Airport during a visit by Æthiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, while violence has also surged in the Lower Shabelle region.

The al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabaab group has intensified its campaign of bombings and mortar attacks in recent weeks, targeting government and foreign installations in Mogadishu.

The latest strike underscores the ongoing security challenges facing Somalia’s capital, which the group continues to target. Egypt Air and Ottoman Turkish airlines delayed their flights to Mogadishu following the mortar shelling, according to sources.

Arabia
Houthi official slams Trump for celebrating killing of Yemen 'villagers'
[GEO.TV] A Houthi official has condemned US President Donald Trump for boasting about blowing up ''Houthi fighters'' in Yemen, Al Jazeera reported, citing a statement issued on social media.

In a video, a group of people is struck by an air strike that leaves a large crater at the scene.

“These Houthis gathered for instructions on an attack. Oops, there will be no attack by these Houthis! They will never sink our ships again!” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

In response, Abdulrahman al-Ahnomi, head of the Houthi-run General Corporation for Radio and Television, denied Trump’s claims, saying those targeted were simply Yemeni villagers.
Now
“The US president is showing off his terrorism before the world,” he wrote on X. “Targeting a tribal gathering is not a victory, but a reflection of the US’s failure to identify any real targets.”

At least two civilians murdered in US airstrikes on shop and house in Saada Sunday morning, Kamaran Island airstruck repeatedly throughout the day
[HodhodYemenNews] At least two people were killed and nine others injured in an initial toll of the US airstrikes on a solar panel shop and a civilian’s house in the Hafsin area of Saada province, the Ministry of Health and Environment confirmed.

This came in a statement issued by the ministry on Sunday morning.

The ministry condemned the US aggression’s continued targeting of civilian homes and property, describing the attack as a war crime and a blatant violation of international laws and conventions.

The US aggression against Yemen began on March 15, 2025, as a surprise move without prior coordination.

It came in support of the Israeli entity, which is facing a maritime blockade imposed by Yemen.

US airstrikes hit Yemen's Kamaran Island

[HodhodYemenNews] US enemy warplanes resumed their airstrikes on Kamaran Island in Hodeidah province on Sunday evening.

Security sources in the province reported that the island was targeted with four new airstrikes.

Earlier this morning, the US aircraft had targeted the island with five airstrikes, as part of the ongoing aggression against Yemen since March 16.

Hungarian police arrest 2 French citizens for tearing down Israeli flags honoring Netanyahu’s visit
How rude.
[IsraelTimes] Hungarian police announce the arrest (Hungarian link) of two people yesterday for tearing down 17 Israeli flags lining Budapest’s Széchenyi Chain Bridge in honor of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit, and throwing them into the Danube River.

The alleged perpetrators, two French nationals, were arrested by police on the bridge a few minutes after the incident. After questioning by investigators at Budapest’s Fifth District police station, they have been charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct, vandalism and theft.

Police say they have also arrested two Spanish nationals for misdemeanor vandalism after they broke a Hungarian flag on the bridge one hour later that day.

Nearly half a ton of cocaine seized at Istanbul airport
[Rudaw] Ottoman Turkish customs confiscated nearly half a ton of cocaine at Istanbul airport, the government said on Saturday.

"Following the technical analysis and targeting studies, a cargo shipment originating from abroad and transiting through our country was examined in detail. The cargo shipment consisting of 40 boxes prepared for the cocaine-type drug trade weighing 455.2 kilos was seized," read a statement from the Ministry of Trade.

The investigation is ongoing, according to the ministry.

The statement did not reveal the shipment’s origin or final destination, but it was flagged during routine checks and underwent a thorough inspection, local media reported.

"Ottoman Turkish criminal networks - already key players in the heroin trade - appear to have found new ways to exploit the country’s minimal resilience to organized crime, working with Latin American and Balkan groups to keep up with the escalating global demand for cocaine," according to a 2023 report from the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime.

Eight terrorists killed as security forces foil infiltration bid at Pak-Afghan border
[GEO.TV] At least eight turbans were neutralised as security forces successfully thwarted their bid to infiltrate through the Pakistain-Afghanistan border
...also known as Pashtunistan, home of ignorance, poverty, and automatic weapons...
in North Wazoo district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the military's media wing said on Sunday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the security forces picked up movement of a group of murderous Moslems, who were trying to infiltrate through the Pak-Afghanistan border in the general area of Hassan Khel, North Waziristan district, on the night between April 5-6.

"Own troops effectively engaged and thwarted their attempt to infiltrate. After an intense exchange of fire, eight Khwarij [terrorists] were sent to hell, while four khwarij got injured," it added.

Pakistain has consistently been asking the interim Afghan government to ensure effective border management on their side of the border.

"Interim Afghan government is expected to fulfill its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by Khwarij for perpetuating acts of terrorism against Pakistain," the ISPR added.

Meanwhile,
...back at the alley, Slats Chumbaloni was staring into a hole that was just .45 inch in diameter and was less than three feet from his heavily sweating face ...
a sanitisation operation was being conducted to eliminate any other turbans found in the area as "security forces are determined and remain committed to secure its borders and wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country".

Sindh deports 307 illegal Afghans amid ongoing repatriation
[GEO.TV] At least 307 illegal Afghan immigrants colonists have been deported from Sindh so far as part of the government's policy to deport all undocumented foreign nationals, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said on Sunday.

In a statement, Memon said that the illegal immigrants colonists were repatriated from the Amin House Transit Camp after thorough verification, legal proceedings, and background checks. He said the deportees included 191 men, 37 women, and 79 children.

The federal government announced at the start of March that 800,000 Afghan Citizen Cards (ACC) would be cancelled — the second phase of a deportation programme which has already forced 800,000 undocumented Afghans across the border.

The country has been hosting millions of Afghans for around five decades. Hundreds of thousands of them returned to their country in the last few years but still over 2.1 million are living in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and other provinces.

Pakistain had set March 31 as the deadline for all the illegal Afghans as well as those who possessed ACC cards to return to their country amid rising incidents of terrorism in the country.

Last year was the deadliest year in almost a decade in Pakistain, with more than 1,600 people bit the dust in attacks — nearly half of them security forces personnel — according to the Islamabad-based Centre for Research and Security Studies.

Pakistain accuses the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
government of failing to root out murderous Moslems sheltering on Afghan soil, a charge the Taliban government denies.

The Taliban government has repeatedly called for the "dignified" return of Afghans to their country, with Prime Minister Hassan Akhund urging countries hosting Afghans not to force them out.

Arrested Palestinian was planning major terror attack on Jerusalem light rail, say police
[IsraelTimes] Police and Shin Bet agents say they arrested a Palestinian from the Shuafat refugee camp last month whom they suspect of planning to carry out terror attacks.

The suspect, who was arrested by police at the Shin Bet’s behest, reportedly made his own pipe bombs and bought knives for multiple attacks he planned to carry out during the month of Ramadan.

It came to light during the investigation that the suspect planned to plant homemade explosives on the Jerusalem light rail, a bus, or in a restaurant in the southern part of the city. At a later point, he apparently began plotting to carry out a combined ramming and stabbing attack at a Jerusalem bus stop, buying knives and a car as part of his plan.

Prosecutors in the Jerusalem District Attorney’s Office plan to file an indictment against the young man, but the joint police and Shin Bet statement does not specify when.

Hostage families protest outside Netanyahu’s home, marking year and a half since Oct. 7
[IsraelTimes] Hostage families and their supporters are protesting in front of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence in Jerusalem to mark a year and a half since the October 7, 2023 massacre.

Activists carry photos of the 59 hostages that remain held captive in the Strip.

Erez Adar, whose uncle Tamir Adar was murdered on October 7, urges the prime minister to reach a deal freeing all the hostages in one go.

“It is the most important subject of the day. We need to return everyone, the living for rehabilitation and the dead for burial, in order for us to have a better future here,” he says.

Varda Ben Baruch, whose grandson Edan Alexander is held hostage, evokes the Passover holiday, which demands that “every generation, a person must see himself as if he had come out of Egypt.”

“We say this in the Passover Haggadah. Now is your moment of truth,” she says, addressing Netanyahu. “You are in the United States and you should sit there with President Trump and finish a deal for everyone to get home. We are expecting this.”

Gil Dickmann, whose cousin Carmel Gat was murdered in captivity, warns remaining living hostages are in danger if action isn’t taken immediately for their release.

“President Trump — please. It’s been a year and a half. There’s only one word possible to yell right now — enough, enough of this nightmare,” he says.

Similar demonstrations are also occurring at the homes of several other cabinet ministers.

Teen killed in West Bank while throwing stones was US citizen, Palestinian officials say
[IsraelTimes] A Palestinian who the IDF said it killed in the West Bank yesterday when throwing stones at Israeli cars was a 14-year-old Palestinian-American, Palestinian officials say.

The mayor of Turmus Ayya, Adeeb Lafi, told Reuters earlier in the day that Omar Mohammad Rabea, 14, was shot along with two other teenagers by an Israeli settler at the entrance to Turmus Ayya and that the Israeli army pronounced him dead after detaining him.

The Palestinian Authority’s Foreign Ministry condemns the incident as an “extra-judicial killing” by Israeli forces during a raid in the town, saying it was the result of Israel’s “continued impunity.”

“During a counterterrorism activity in the area of Turmus Aya, IDF soldiers identified three terrorists who hurled rocks toward the highway, thus endangering civilians driving,” the army says in a statement.

“The soldiers opened fire toward the terrorists who were endangering civilians, eliminating one terrorist and hitting two additional terrorists.”

The IDF published footage showing the stone-throwing.
An Nahar adds:
The Israeli army said Friday that it shot and killed a Palestinian who threw stones at troops near the occupied West Bank village of Husan, whose mayor told AFP the boy was 17.

The army said that on Thursday evening "several terrorists hurled rocks toward Road 375 adjacent to Husan... Soldiers who were operating in the area responded with fire toward the terrorists, eliminated one terrorist and hit an additional terrorist".

Husan mayor Jamal Sabateen said the army had opened fired on youngsters throwing stones.

3 THINGS TO REMEMBER

1. Hamas started it and kept at it while hiding among the GAZA population to launch new attacks.

Note: I did not say innocence Civilians. As a vast majority of GAZA supports and hides HAMAS members.

2. Hamas and it's supporters have been caught time and time again inflating the numbers.

3. Remember, Hamas itself said, that about 70+% of the Gazan's they claimed killed were Military age Males and in areas where Hamas was hiding, and/or launched missiles attacks from.

Strip within a few minutes on Sunday crossed into Israeli territory, with most of them intercepted.

"Following the sirens that sounded at 21:01-21:02 (1801-1802 GMT) in the Lakhish area, approximately 10 projectiles were identified crossing into Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip. Most of them were successfully intercepted," a military statement said.
The Times of Israel adds:
Man lightly injured by shrapnel from hit in Ashkelon; IDF says only 5 rockets intercepted by air defenses; Netanyahu, en route to the US, instructs Katz to respond harshly

Hamas fired 10 rockets at southern Israel on Sunday night in the largest such barrage in months.

Five of the ten rockets were intercepted by Israel’s air defenses, the Israel Defense Forces said, but at least one of the other five hit Ashkelon, causing damage. A 30-year-old man was lightly injured by shrapnel, and taken to the city’s Barzilai Hospital for treatment.

The Magen David Adom emergency services said that two other people were hurt while running to shelters, while several people were treated for acute anxiety following the attack.

The rockets were launched toward the coastal cities of Ashkelon and Ashdod shortly after 9 p.m. from central Gaza’s Deir al-Balah, an area where the IDF has not been operating.

Hamas claimed responsibility for the rocket barrage shortly after it was launched.

Israel immediately vowed that the terror group would pay a heavy price. Defense Minister Israel Katz — after speaking with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was en route to the US — said he had ordered the IDF to expand its renewed offensive against Hamas.

Following the attack, the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesman, Col. Avichay Adraee, issued an evacuation warning for Palestinian civilians in the Deir al-Balah area, saying that it was a “final warning” before the IDF carried out strikes there.

The military then said it carried out a drone strike targeting the rocket launcher used to launch the barrage.

The salvo of rockets was the largest attack launched by Hamas since the collapse of the ceasefire and hostage deal last month.

Several others remain missing beneath the rubble. The attack followed a day of heavy Israeli strikes across Gaza, pushing Sunday's corpse count past 50.

The continued bombardment has intensified fears for civilians trapped in the conflict, with rescue workers still searching for survivors in the debris.

More than 40 people killed in Israeli shelling of Gaza Strip in 24 hours
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Over the past 24 hours, more than 40 people have been killed in Israeli military strikes on the Gaza Strip. This was reported on April 6 by the Al-Jazeera TV channel.
So it might be true… but probably isn’t, more’s the pity.
"Continued Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip have killed 46 people in the past 24 hours," the statement said.

It is specified that the Israeli army hit Khan Yunis and Gaza, where the bombings affected residential buildings and refugee tents. Dozens of people were also injured as a result.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, the number of civilians killed as a result of Israeli strikes since their resumption has exceeded 1,300. More than 3,000 people have also been wounded.

As reported by Regnum, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on April 4 launched a ground military operation in the Ash-Shujaiya area in the eastern Gaza City in the northern part of the sector of the same name. It was clarified that such a decision was made to "expand the security zone."

OK!
Now ask:
How many were HAMAS or Terrorist related terrorists?

How many housed or hid the above?

How many died because Hamas or some other Anti-Israel group launched attacks from that location?

#3  46 Paleos in 24 hours is approx. 1.9 pph (Paleos per hour) for those playing along at home.

There are no reported directions as these are point attacks and not the movement of a front.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Over 30 airport workers expelled over suspected Hezbollah ties
[AnNahar] Lebanese authorities have started "curbing Hezbollah’s influence at the Rafik Hariri International Airport," after the Airport Security Apparatus revoked the authorizations of a large number of airport workers who are loyal to Hezbollah, Saudi Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula, largely made up of sand and oil rigs. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual haj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Formerly dictatorial and steeped in Olde Tyme Religion, deferring to Salafist holy men on all issues, it has now done a 180 and is making a serious effort to modernize, so as not to be left in the sand by its Gulf Arab neighbors. The holy men have been shoved to the background and the nation is now still dictatorial but somewhat rational. That doesn't make them trustworthy, but it's a start...
’s Asharq al-Awsat newspaper has reported.

"More than 30 airport workers have been informed of the expiry of the permits granted to them and that it will not be possible to renew them," an informed source at the airport told the daily.

This decision "did not only involve workers who carry travelers’ luggage into and from the airport, but also those who carry luggage into and from planes, in addition to a number of employees who worked at the department of baggage inspection and lost items," the source said.

"The decision represented a shock to those affected by the expulsion, especially that they spent long years working at the airport while enjoying freedom of action and without any accountability," the source added.

These measures are aimed at "enhancing the security of the airport and travelers and weakening Hezbollah’s influence in it to the greatest extent," the source went on to say, noting that those expelled were "Hezbollah’s eyes and ears inside the airport and a main source of the information it used to gather about the movement of travelers from and into the airport."

"Granting them work and airport access permits used to take place following requests and pressure from Hezbollah, and anyone who was not loyal to Hezbollah used to be denied such a permit, which broadened its influence at the airport for long decades," the source added.

A security source meanwhile told Asharq al-Awsat that similar measures will target members and officers from the customs administration, Internal Security Forces and General Security, adding that many are suspected of having facilitated Hezbollah’s transactions over the past period.

Stop and imagine the security issues that terrorist supporting Baggage handlers posed with the possibility of IED being loaded for certain flights to certain locations.

IDF targets 2 Hezbollah operatives ‘rebuilding terror infrastructure’ in Lebanon
[IsraelTimes] Trump envoy Morgan Ortagus, in Beirut, discusses disarming Hezbollah; chief of staff says Israel ‘showing initiative and offensive action’

The Israeli military on Sunday said it carried out an Arclight airstrike

, killing two, in an attack that targeted Hezbollah operatives who were trying to rebuild "terror infrastructure."

Lebanon’s health ministry confirmed that two people were killed in an Israeli strike on the town of Zibqin in the country’s south, saying that it targeted people operating a bulldozer.

Israel’s military said the two were operating an engineering vehicle, and that they were "attempting to rebuild Hezbollah terror infrastructure sites."

"We are continuing the campaign to strengthen the defenses, while showing initiative and offensive action," IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said at an assessment Sunday on the Lebanon border.

Zamir met with the chief of the Northern Command, Maj. Gen. Ori Gordin, commander of the 91st "Galilee" Regional Division, Brig. Gen. Yuval Gez, and other commanders.

During the assessment, the military said, Zamir "emphasized his instructions that the IDF will not allow civilians to go on hikes over the international border, but only in Israeli territory and in places where hikes were held in the past, in accordance with the security situation."

The latest strike came after visiting US deputy special envoy for the Middle East Morgan Ortagus discussed the situation in southern Lebanon with bigwigs on Saturday.

A Lebanese official said Sunday that Ortagus discussed disarming Hezbollah without setting a deadline during her meetings in Beirut a day earlier.

The Lebanese official, speaking anonymously as they were not authorized to brief the media, said Ortagus discussed "intensifying and speeding up the work of the Lebanese army in dismantling Hezbollah’s military infrastructure, leading to restricting weapons to state hands, without setting a timetable."

Ortagus did not make any official statements during the visit, but Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam described their discussions with the US official as "positive," noting they addressed the situation in south Lebanon and economic reforms.

On Friday, Israel killed a commander in the Hamas

terror group in a pre-dawn raid in the south Lebanese port city of Sidon that also killed his adult son and daughter.

A day earlier, Israel’s military said it carried out an airstrike targeting a Hezbollah member in south Lebanon.

On Tuesday, Israel struck south Beirut, killing a Hezbollah Paleostinian liaison officer, in only the second strike on the capital since the November 27 ceasefire.

The strike’s target was Hassan Bdair, a member of Hezbollah’s Unit 3900 and the elite Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

A source close to Hezbollah told AFP that Bdair was "Hezbollah’s deputy head for the Paleostinian file" who was struck when he was "at home with his family." Bdair’s son Ali was also killed, according to the group.
An Nahar reports:
An Israeli drone on Sunday bombed an excavator and a Renault Rapid utility car between the southern towns of Zibqin and al-Shuaitiyeh in the Tyre district, the National News Agency said.

The Health Ministry said the strike killed at least one person.

Kurdish forces launch anti-ISIS operation in Syria detention camp
[Rudaw] Kurdish-led security forces on Saturday launched an operation against Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) cells in Roj camp, which houses families with links to the jihadist group in northeast Syria (Rojava).

The operation was led by a female security force and launched in response to the "dangerous movement of ISIS cells, especially in the camps where the families of ISIS gangs live, particularly Roj camp," according to a statement from the force’s general command, published by Siyamend Ali, spokesperson for the People’s Protection Units (YPG).

"This campaign is a continuation of our ongoing struggle against all attempts by ISIS hard boyz and a sign of our firm will to drain the sources of terrorism and provide security and stability for all components of our society," the statement added.

Roj is the smaller of the two camps in Rojava housing people with links to ISIS. The other is the much larger al-Hol, which houses some 40,000 people and has been branded a breeding ground for terrorism.

The majority of people in the camps are Syrian or Iraqi nationals. Baghdad is repatriating its citizens in groups and putting them through a rehabilitation process before reintegrating them into their communities.

In the camps, there are also people from around the world who traveled to Iraq and Syria to join ISIS. Kurdish authorities in Rojava have repeatedly called on the international community to repatriate their nationals, but many countries are unwilling to bring back their citizens due to security concerns.

Both camps are located in Hasaka province and are controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), who have warned about a possible ISIS resurgence and the security risks posed by the camps.

The SDF is working to prevent the jihadists from taking advantage of Syria’s evolving security situation to reestablish their presence, but has warned that its ability to combat ISIS is being undermined by an offensive against their forces by The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
