was ecstatic when he was admitted to Johns Hopkins University’s graduate school in Washington in 2018.
"Today we made the future — we managed to get in one of the top schools in the world," he wrote in an email to those who had helped him gain entry to the elite master’s program in international relations. "This is the victory that belongs to all of us man — to the entire team. Today we f---ing drink!!!"
The achievement was even sweeter for Ferreira because he was not the striving student from Brazil he had portrayed on his Johns Hopkins application, but a Russian intelligence operative originally from Kaliningrad, according to a series of international investigations as well as an indictment the Justice Department filed in federal court Friday.

By the way, the 10 the FBI arrested and which were the inspiration for "The Americans" tv show were not suddenly swooped up. They had been watched for years.
I gave up on the Washington Post years ago but a good friend sent me this. The Russians never give up.
[Free Beacon] Curious Twitter users, lovelorn Patriots fans, the Free Beacon interns. The rumor mill started turning in December, when Newsweek reported the newly divorced Bucs quarterback was dating Rajek, a Miss Slovakia finalist who claims Instagram once deleted her account because she was too hot to be real.
Both the current girlfriend and the former wife are beautiful, intelligent models. Clearly the gentleman has a type.

I pretended to execute a bad 'un under interrogation this morning. Some of the boys had this silly idea involving a cap gun and plastic sheets. It was fun, sort of. Guy was a khalistani separatist wannabe. Cursed us left and right after we told him 'April Fool!' 🙃

[NYPOST] Weeks before Audrey Hale bumped off six people at a private Christian school in Nashville, Kayla Denker had a stern warning for any "transphobes" with sinister ideas.
Denker, a transgender ...mutton, dressed up as pork... screeching muppet who runs a YouTube channel with 700 subscribers, loaded rounds into an AR-style rifle while staring into the camera during the clip, which went viral in the aftermath of Monday’s massacre at The Covenant School, where Hale, 28, fatally shot three students and three adults before being killed by responding cops.
"While advocating just for trans people to ’arm ourselves’ is not any kind of a solution to the genocide we are facing, I do want to say that if you transphobes do try to come for me I’m ta ... ," Denker captioned the clip, which led to instant blowback online, including calls for authorities in Colorado to investigate.
Earlier Thursday, Denker’s Twitter profile, Pinko Scum, claimed FBI officials contacted her — but that they indicated they were monitoring "YALL [sic] harassers" instead of her. "Because I didn’t do anything wrong," the profile read, prior to being deleted later Thursday afternoon.

Surely Big Pharma can partner with our esteemed Wuhan, China trading partners to come up with a trans anti-depressant calmer vaccination.
...mutton, dressed up as pork...
Cost me a sip of coffee, it did.
YALL [sic] harassers
When even NY Post knows it is -you all- or -y'all-
Seems there is an angle to all these stories. Guess this one is 'violent threats happen all the time and the FBI who is forever in your corner does look into it and they hardly ever, ever, come to anything.

Shits without nots, 'unexpectedly', the worms are out with what they think are memes. "Things which did not kill kids today: pronouns, drag queens, statue of David."
Totally serious. I bet a box of edible crayons I can make the case trannys are drag queens, especially those who have not 'taken the jump'. Queer pronouns are what they call the visibility. Lack of visibility is one of the excuses.
Staute of David I'll put on retarded childhood dreams and reaching for a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle inference.

In some part of the usage region, y’all is both singular and plural.
Where I grew up, both you guys and youz guys were common plurals for the singular you. The middle of the Midwest at the border of the Southeast is very different, linguistically, from the end of the Northeast, but I have persevered and can now communicate with the natives. ;-)

I grew up in the Midwest and East but lived in the rural South for a couple of stints. I never was able to master NC directions because of their unique topographical referencing system. For instance, “Turn left where Junior’s General Store used to be.” After a ten year hiatus I returned to rural NC for a week of training. The forgotten custom of people beeping their horns to greet friends really disconcerted me.

[ShabelleMedia] Intense fighting broke out in different directions of Lasnod city on Friday morning shortly after the US called for de-escalation and dialogue to cease the two-month hostilities.
The Somaliland military confirmed that they have launched an attack to recapture the town of Lasanod from the local community fighters but encountered a heavy resistance that dealt them a major blow.
The SSC-Khatumo officials said they had prior information of the impending Somaliland assault and prepared for it. The breakaway regional forces fired artillery that destroyed civilian buildings in Lasanod.
Friday’s battle took place in Maraaga and Dhidinka, where SSC fighters are in control. The number of casualties still is unknown as both sides didn’t release statements regarding the latest heavy festivities.
Somaliland has been fighting for more than 50 days to recapture the key city, but the people of the area are always defending themselves and rejecting to remain under the secessionist administration.
The US said it is ’concerned’ by the continuing violence in Lasanod that will increase the potential for Death Eater groups to sow broader instability and further exacerbate the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
Biden administration urged all sides to stop the war and start a dialogue to bring an end to the tension.
Local doctors say as many as 200 are dead since the conflict erupted in January this year with nearly 1,000 maimed, mostly civilians. The UN estimated 190,000 fled their houses, some reached Æthiopia.
[Frontline News] As the US bickers over the gender of the latest mass shooter, China is nearing dominion over the United States by playing peacemaker among the world’s most powerful countries and rallying them against the dollar.
China made attempts this month to broker a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, much as Israel did last year. Both times, the US led Western countries in shutting down any proposal of peace, though this time the Biden administration did not wait for negotiations to begin before declaring peace between the countries "unacceptable".
"What we have said before, and we’ll say it again today, that if coming out of this meeting [between China and Russia], there’s some sort of call for a ceasefire, well, that’s just going to be unacceptable because all that’s going to do . . . is ratify Russia’s conquest to date," National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said in an interview on Fox News. "All that's going to do is give Mr. Putin more time to re-fit ,retrain, re-man and try to plan for renewed offensives at a time of his choosing."
And, true to form, Ukraine and its Western allies declined the Kremlin’s China-brokered proposal for a ceasefire because it did not include the withdrawal of Russian troops from the Donbas region. Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that it would "simply freeze" the conflict and allow Russia to "prepare and come back" much as the Pentagon had said prior to the talks.
Just days earlier, China President Xi Jinping had brokered an historic peace deal between Iran and Saudi Arabia after paying a visit to Riyadh in December and hosting Iran President Ebrahim Raisi in Beijing. The two oil-rich countries, who have been feuding bitterly for seven years in a deeply religious conflict, signed an agreement in Beijing this month to reestablish diplomatic relations.
On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia joined China’s Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a security, political and trade alliance led by the Chinese Communist Party and involving Russia, India, Pakistan, Qatar and Turkey, with Iran counted among the four observer states. CNBC describes the move by Riyadh as "a further step away from U.S. interests".
On Wednesday, Watcher Guru reported that for the first time, China and France conducted a liquefied natural gas (LNG) trade in Chinese yuan, thereby ending reliance on the US dollar for energy trades. The trade involved 65,000 tons of LNG from the United Arab Emirates.

These are our esteemed Chinese trading partners who we saved from genocide at the hands of the Japanese during WWII. Same partners who came across the Yalu River in Oct 1950. Yes, the same partners who also hosted GOF research at the Wuhan laboratories.

I suppose their 100 years of humiliation isn't forgotten. Nor are the Opium Wars (which makes one wonder about the China-Mexico nexus and fentanyl).
The world is changing, and I can't say the US didn't shoot itself in the foot. While it is totally obsessed with Ukraine and transgender killers, the rest of the world is moving right along.

The dollar having been the world's reserve currency since the end of WWII has created a worldwide demand for dollars and made it easy for us to finance the balance of trade deficits we're so addicted to.
This move to replace the dollar, if successful, has very serious ramifications for our balance of trade, inflation, and economy.
Hello, Janet Yellen! You got your Ph. D. in economics from Yale one year after I got my BA in economics from Yale. We had the same teachers and read the same books. Use what you actually learned to do something about this!!!

[BREITBART] ABC News is laying off dozens of employees, including some of its highest-ranking executives, as part of the Walt Disney Co.’s ongoing round of layoffs that will see 7,000 employees depart the company.
The poor darlings worked hard to accomplish this outcome.
In all, ABC News is expected to lay off 50 individuals—including an executive producer close to Good Morning, America co-anchor and former Clinton administration official George Stephanopoulos—according to a Variety report.
Other executives getting pink-slipped include the head of ABC News’ investigative unit, the network’s Los Angeles bureau chief, and the network’s chief spokesperson.
"While these actions are never easy, they are a necessary step to ensure we’re on solid footing for the years ahead as we chart a sustainable, growth-oriented path forward for the entire organization," ABC News President Kim Godwin (pictured) reportedly said in an internal memo.
Disney is laying off 7,000 employees across its numerous media properties as part of an effort to rebound from a disastrous 2022 that saw the company’s stock plunge 44 percent and its profitability take a surprising hit, resulting in the firing of CEO Bob Chapek.

...I am hoping that the Disney employees - and for the record, I've been shiatcanned enough times to truly feel sorry for anyone losing their jobs like this - take the same route that the newly laid-off NPR employees are taking: demand that non-LGBTQPOC employees be laid off FIRST.
Schadenfreude: it's what's for breakfast.

Don't know how many of the laid off Disney employees were in Florida, but the company was only about 1% of the Florida workforce at its peak. In Florida, Walmart employs 108,000 people. Disney employs 80,000.

Wal-Mart surely is spread out all over the state. I suspect that isn't the case with Disney.
I wonder how Euro Disney is doing in France.
No matter. I would be ecstatic to see DIS stock price drop to as close to zero as possible.
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Finnish politics could dramatically shift to the far-Right on Sunday as an anti-immigration party aims to replace Sanna Marin's Social Democrats Party.
The 'rock star' prime minister, who took office in 2019 as the world's youngest PM at 34, has proved to become one of Finland's most popular leaders, polls show.
However, some people cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go... latest figures put the mother-of-one's centre-Left SDP in third place behind the anti-immigration and nationalist Finns Party and the centre-Right National Coalition Party, which held on to a thin lead.
'It is a very exciting situation and it's hard to say at the moment which party will be the biggest on election day,' Tuomo Turja of the polling firm Taloustutkimus told AFP.
A win for the far-Right Finns Party, and a far-Right prime minister, would be a first in Finland - but the party has previously served in government in a coalition. It currently looks set to top its record 19 per cent from the 2011 election.
