[Just The News] The leaders of key U.S. intelligence agencies agreed on Thursday that a Biden-era intelligence community assessment on anomalous health incidents — also dubbed “Havana Syndrome” should be retracted after the 2023 report largely dismissed the possibility of foreign involvement in the mysterious ailments.
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, FBI Director Kash Patel, National Security Agency acting director Lieutenant General William Hartman, and Defense Intelligence Agency director Lieutenant General James Adams all testified on Thursday before the House Intelligence Committee that they believed the Biden-era ICA on the anomalous health incidents — or AHIs — should be retracted. CIA Director John Ratcliffe also said he would defer to Gabbard on the issue.
The U.S. government has been investigating the unusual symptoms reported among its personnel serving abroad. If a foreign adversary is behind the AHIs, speculation has centered on Russia as the most likely culprit, along with China and Cuba as possible as well. Skipping down to the BLUF timesaver.
It remains to be seen whether the Havana Syndrome mystery will be fully unraveled, but the shift in tone at the top of the IC is palpable, the threat of criminal referrals may help reveal more details, and the now near-certain retraction of the Biden-era assessment may give way to fuller transparency. Jimmy Hoffa must be located first. Test control groups have signed NDA's, received generous tax-exempt comps and appear to be quite happy.

I am conflicted. Based on recent history, any text following "Most Spy Chiefs Agree" is bullshit, likely to the nth degree. On the other hand, *anything* Biden-era is likely either tainted or junk.

In Washington, they're now forcing people to prove their houses have an acceptable "home energy score" before they're allowed to sell.
According to KOMO News, the new ordinance in Thurston County, the home energy score would "encourage people" to "invest in improvements that lower utility bills and reduce carbon emissions." This means homeowners need a review of their insulation systems, electrical systems, water-heating systems, and more before they can even think about selling their house. This doesn't go into effect until next March. Realtors are concerned about the housing market.

Opponents say the assessment can cost $350, but low-income households — read, those most likely to be least energy efficient — are exempt. And that's before the costs to make things "energy efficient."
Realtor Dawn Baker said there aren't enough energy assessors to do this work. "With no way to actually gain a score or an assessment, that means we can't list any homes," Baker said. The nearest assessors are in Portland.
The Olympia City Council is set to vote on this measure, too.

[Daily Signal] Officials from Fulton County, Georgia, wanted to quash a subpoena from the Georgia State Board of Elections because providing "approximately 750 boxes" of material would be too burdensome.
Yet, when the FBI came knocking in a Jan. 28 raid, federal agents left with 656 boxes (653 by one count), prompting a top Georgia election official to wonder about the gap in the number.
"That’s almost 100 boxes of evidence," Janice Johnston, vice chair of the Georgia State Election Board, told The Daily Signal.
She referenced one county affidavit that only estimated "over 700 boxes" at the county elections hub. She said, "Even 50 [extra] boxes would be a lot of evidence."
In a post on X, Johnston posed the questions, "WHERE ARE 100 BOXES OF ELECTION DOCUMENTS?!! ... WHO HAS THE BOXES?!!"
A rough estimate does not excuse such a large numerical disparity in an affidavit or court filings, Johnston said.
The State Election Board has since made a records request to the Fulton County Board of Elections to provide information about materials delivered or removed from storage in the four weeks preceding the FBI raid.
"Fulton County is effectively the person of interest in this case," Johnston said. "We are not assured that everything was available."
The FBI seized materials from the 2020 election that included ballots, tabulator tapes, and ballot images from a recount, Georgia Public Broadcasting reported, citing court documents that supported the search warrant. About 370,000 ballot images are missing, Johnston noted.

[ZERO] Joe Kent, former Director of the National Counterterrorism Center who was President Trump’s principal counterterrorism advisor, appeared on Tucker Carlson's show to explain his side of the story after stepping down from the administration.
Kent announced his resignation Tuesday, citing his opposition to the ongoing U.S. war with Iran, and his belief that Iran posed "no imminent threat" to America - while asserting in his resignation letter that his wife died in "a war manufactured by Israel" in a 2019 suicide bombing in Manjbi, Syria.
In this first public interview since resigning, Kent elaborated on his reasons amid reports emerging Wednesday that the FBI is investigating him for allegedly leaking or improperly sharing classified information (a probe that sources say predates his resignation and is being handled by the FBI's Criminal Division, per several outlets).
Early on in the interview, Carlson referenced Secretary of State Marco Rubio's justification for the strikes - that Iran posed an imminent threat because Israel was preparing to attack Iranian targets, likely prompting Iranian retaliation against U.S. forces. Carlson reframed it bluntly:

NOTUS seems to me to be a poor name for a news org. When I see "NOTUS", I parse it as "not us", and that reminds me of what we kids said when facing collective punishment.

I am not a believer in the Charlie Kirk conspiracy stuff. What I see with Kent is the result of the government and media lying to us consistently and pervasively for such a long period that we can’t dig out the root of the dandelion of lies. Kent is a good guy gone wrong based on watching him for a while. Government is a hall of mirrors. I’m not surprised that it divides some from reality.
