[PJMedia] Aside from some grumbling from social conservatives, the Hyatt Regency Miami likely never dreamed it would suffer any consequences for hosting "A Drag Queen Christmas." The sexually explicit celebration of our current societal obsessions took to the stage last December — with children present. After all, the big corporations have thoroughly internalized the principle that it is Leftists they must never offend, while they can infuriate patriots all day long. That’s why they’ve all gone woke.
But now, for the first time, Ron DeSantis ...Republican governor of Florida, stone in the shoe of the Dems and their ilk, maybe one-day president... is making sure that these Leftist corporate behemoths will pay a price for pandering to today’s cultural saboteurs. The Hyatt Regency Miami is losing its liquor license.
Fox News reported Tuesday that "the DeSantis administration is moving to strip a major Miami hotel of its liquor license after hosting a Christmas-themed drag queen show in December with children present despite warnings." With this and DeSantis’ earlier actions against the woke propagandists of Disney, we have done nothing less than enter into a new world. For the first time, corporations are seeing that they might suffer the adverse effects of tilting far to the Left and outraging the sensibilities of their customers who still retain a modicum of decency and sanity.
The Hyatt Regency Miami can’t say that it didn’t see it coming. The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation issued a warning to the luxurious hotel against hosting a "sexually explicit show with children present," but the hotel ignored the warning. Now it is discovering that the warning was not just empty verbiage. The Department explained that as a result of the hotel’s hosting the show in defiance of the warnings, it was "revoking the venue’s license for the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages." It added that "sexually explicit content is not appropriate to display to children and doing so violates Florida law. Governor DeSantis stands up for the innocence of children in the classroom and throughout Florida."
All this went on as children gawked, having been brought to the event by some who thought they were going to get a benign Christmas presentation.
They thought so because the event "was initially promoted by the hotel with Christmas-themed materials that did not warn of sexually explicit content and included the words ’all ages welcome.’" Of course all ages were welcome. How can you ensure that little kids will be watching all this if you warn the prospective audience that you’re going to be rubbing their faces in the worst of twenty-first century America’s obsession with sexual deviancy and perversion?
The hotel did update the promotional material after it received its initial warning from the state. The new ads noted that the show was "recommended for audiences 18+," but according to Fox, "the admission policies still allowed for children to attend if accompanied by an adult." The state’s complaint against the hotel thus states: "As a result, minors attended and were knowingly admitted. During the Show and in the presence of persons less than 16 years of age, performers appeared on stage wearing sexually suggestive clothing and prosthetic female genitalia."
Hyatt Regency Miami’s general manager, Amir Blattner, said that the venue was actually managed by a third party. Maybe so, but it clearly went on under the hotel’s auspices, and I myself can recall having patriotic and anti-jihad terror events canceled from other Hyatts, so I suspect it would be hard for the hotel to sustain the claim that it is viewpoint-neutral.
DeSantis’ action is on the right track. The more the woke corporations come to see that there is a downside to wokeness, the more they’ll swing back to treating all groups equally.

There is no way to 'fix' the Swamp outside of starting over again.
"Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed."
[BREITBART] News Thursday of payments from a Chinese Communist Party-linked company to members of President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. An incredibly corrupt version of Jar-Jar Binks, only well into his dotage. The dumbass who abandoned Afghanistan.... ’s family amounts to a potential case for bribery, an impeachable offense under the Constitution.
The House Oversight Committee revealed that in 2017, China’s State Energy HK Limited sent $3 million to a company controlled by family associate Robert Walker, who in turn distributed funds to members of Biden’s family: his surviving son, Hunter; his brother, James; his daughter-in-law, Hallie; and an unknown "Biden."
State Energy HK Limited was linked to CEFC China Energy, whose chairman, Ye Jianming, did business with Hunter Biden ...son of President Joe: cashiered from the Navy, a crackhead, wheeler dealer, leg humper, horn dog, and general all around ne'er do well. We're supposed to feel sorry for him... . CEFC was also involved in an abandoned joint venture with the Biden family in which someone referred to as the "big guy," and presumed to be then-former Vice President Joe Biden ...... 46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem machine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family, the guy who bungled Afghanistan...... , was to have a 10% stake.
It is not clear what goods or services, if any, were provided in exchange for these payments.
Hunter Biden’s legal team issued a statement, claiming that he had engaged in a "legitimate" private business venture with a Chinese company: "As part of that joint venture, Hunter received his portion of good faith seed funds which he shared with his uncle, James Biden, and Hallie Biden, with whom he was involved with at the time, and sharing expenses."

All of them for failure to register as a lobbyist for a foreign entity.
[PJMEDIA] Donald Trump ...His ancestors didn't own any slaves... announced on Saturday morning that he would be arrested on Tuesday, and the nation has been agog at the prospect of the Leftist establishment crossing the rubicon of arresting its principal opponent on flimsy charges and demonstrating before the entire world that the American republic is now the American banana republic, in which foes of the regime can expect the full weight of corrupt government authority pushing back against them for daring to dissent.
But now it turns out that the Manhattan district attorney’s office, which has Trump in its sights, just may be stepping back from the brink: Business Insider reported Saturday night that Trump’s indictment is "on hold" until one more witness testifies Monday afternoon.
That’s about all that has come to light, as the relevant authorities are being quite closemouthed about this whole thing. Insider says that "a source with knowledge of the investigation" told them on Saturday night "there is one more witness." The indictment is apparently not a certainty until this witness testifies.
But who is this witness? The Insider’s source wouldn’t say, and so all that we’re told is that "a separate source, who also spoke on condition of anonymity, told Insider that the witness is not Allen Weisselberg, Trump’s former CFO, who is serving a five-month sentence for admittedly criminal masterminding a payroll tax-dodge scheme at the Trump Organization."
Meanwhile, ...back at the wrecked scow, a single surviver held tightly to the smashed prow... Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen, whose betrayal of his former client started this whole business about Trump having paid hush money to a porn star (which is what he might be arrested for, not any of the literally dozens of other crimes that Democrats have claimed he has committed over the last few years, up to and including trying to overthrow the government of the United States), "has told news hounds he expected to be the grand jury’s final witness when he testified last Monday and Wednesday." So whoever is slated to appear on Monday is a surprise witness.
Insider notes that the grand jury "could conceivably reach a vote" on whether or not actually to indict Trump for trying to buy a hooker’s silence "by the end of Monday’s three-hour session," but that’s not likely to happen, as "experts" say that "there are several steps between the final testimony and the vote."
Now, if we have learned anything over the last few years, it’s not to trust the confident assertions of "experts," but this could well mean that Trump will not be indicted on Tuesday, as there simply won’t be time after the surprise witness testimony on Monday to go through all the necessary steps to issue the indictment. "Once testimony concludes, prosecutors will ’charge’ the jury, meaning go through the potential counts on a charge sheet one by one, explaining each count in the potential indictment." Several other steps follow that before there can be any indictment.

I think the leak about Trump's pending arrest was just a bit of recon by fire to provoke either Trump or his supporters into doing something actionable.

Trump used his media skills and situational awareness to launch a preemptive news strike that most likely forced a change in plans, most likely after a call from the Central Committee rep at the White House, Susan Rice.
If this assessment is accurate, his move also serves as a signature to the Deep State that he is still a Strong Horse threat to their continued preeminence as the actual ruling class.

I seriously doubt there would be anything rowdy if Trump is arrested. What it will do is simply wake up a few more people to what a nest of psycho's we have in our government who desperately want to load the rest of us up on cattle cars for 're-education'.

One would have to assume a grand juror is a very special and peculiar political animal. Almost everyone tries to get out of regular jury duty, which might last days or weeks except for the most involved cases. Grand juries are seated for terms lasting months (though sequestration is not an issue). Grand juries are not for the most part constituted to clear but rather to indict. It's the prosecutor's playground, with the person who's "case" is being investigated not represented at all.
You have to figure the "jury pool" consists of people pre-disposed to do the gummint's bidding. That's why a "no-bill" is usually news. It's the exception, not the rule.
The "witch lady" from the Georgia grand jury is probably more representative of the typical grand jury member's mindset than anyone wants to admit.

#12 Which is why Biden signaled the desruction of the Proud Boys as a central theme during his campaign. It wasn't his idea, he was fed the talking points but it was his handlers who knew that Trumps most loyal and effective followers had to be taken out. This is what is happening. This is how it is now. Every organized resitance to the "Regime" is being liquidated before our eyes and I can't see any resistance. None. The pain will continue.

[NYPOST] Republicans, including former Vice President Mike Pence, rallied around former President Donald Trump ...His ancestors didn't own any slaves... on Sunday, blasting his potential prosecution by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office as a politically motivated attack against a 2024 Democratic rival.
"It just feels like a politically charged prosecution here. And I, for my part, I just feel like it’s just not what the American people want to see," Pence told ABC News’ "This Week" in an interview that aired Sunday.
"The fact that the Manhattan DA thinks that indicting President Trump is his top priority, I think ... just tells you everything you need to know about the radical left in this country," Pence, who has had a falling out with Trump, 76, after the Jan. 6, 2021, US Capitol riot, told host Jonathan Karl.
Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) said the possible arrest of Trump over an alleged $130,000 hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election is "one of the worst uses of the justice system we have ever seen."
"This kind of two-tier prosecution, this gotcha mentality with the criminal justice system is flat-out wrong," he told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo on "Sunday Morning Futures."

85% of Republicans think protesting is a trap; the other 15% are Federal agents
[TRENDINGPOLITICSNEWS] President Donald Trump ...The man who was so stupid he beat fourteen professional politicians, a former tech CEO, and a brain surgeon for the Republican nomination in 2016, then beat The Smartest Woman in the World in the general election... reacted to the news of his imminent arrest in New York by pointing out that the Manhattan District Attorney’s office’s "leader is funded by George Soros ...either Ernst Stavro Blofeld or Auric Goldfinger come true... Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg, whom Donald Trump is referring to in his post, was elected in November 2021 with indirect backing from left-wing billionaire George Soros, who gave $1 million to the Color of Change PAC, which spent it to elect Bragg.
The Color of Change PAC is a radical activist muppet group that describes itself as "the nation’s largest online racial justice organization."
Fox News reported that Soros has "funneled $40 million dollars into district attorney campaigns nationwide," including Bragg’s.
Former New York Police Commissioner Bill Bratton spoke out against the "$1 million donation that Hungarian-born philanthropist Soros gave to the Color of Change political action committee, which supported Bragg," the New York Post reported.
"If you look at every city in America that has violent mostly peaceful crime increases and disorder increases...what is the one common denominator?" Bratton said. "District attorneys, almost all of whom are funded phenomenally by George Soros."
The New York Post reported that "Soros also donated $1 million to Alvin Bragg’s successful DA campaign in Manhattan, funneling the cash through the Color of Change political action committee."
The Gothamist reported: "Color of Change PAC, a group that since 2016 has successfully backed reform-minded prosecutors across the country from Philadelphia to Michigan to Atlanta, announced they’d be pitching in $1 million dollars through their political action committee to put towards mailers, canvassing, and phone-banking on Bragg’s behalf."
The National Police Association accused Soros of funding "ultra-leftist prosecutors like Alvin Bragg (New York City), Kim Foxx (reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... ), Larry Krasner (Philadelphia), and George Gascon (Los Angeles)," and blamed the campaign for fueling violent mostly peaceful crime.
Color of Change endorsed Bragg, bragging:
Update: Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg won the November 2021 general election with over 83% of the vote. He assumed office on January 1, 2022, and his current term ends on January 1, 2026.
Alvin Bragg (D) is an experienced attorney and a former chief deputy attorney general of New York. For over twenty years, Bragg has committed himself to defending the rights of New Yorkers without status or power. He is running to become the next Manhattan District Attorney to bring his professional and lived experiences to the forefront of criminal justice reform. If elected, Bragg would become the first Black District Attorney to lead the Manhattan DA’s office.
As a lifelong Harlem resident and the only Black man in this race, Alvin Bragg has had direct encounters with the criminal legal system that have shaped his understanding of injustices and informed his policy positions.
Growing up in Harlem, Bragg experienced and witnessed violence firsthand. As a teenage boy, Bragg was repeatedly stopped and frisked by the NYPD, including 3 times at gunpoint. He’s seen loved ones arrested and has opened his own home to support a close family member post-incarceration.

George Soros is untouchable by men. I watched Fox News shutdown Gingrich for mentioning Soros. Criticizing George’s actions usually results in charges of antisemitism even though, like Karl Marx, Soros has his Jewish faith for secular evil even when the criticism has nothing to do with his heritage. Luckily Soros has an appointment with the true and lasting DA in the near term.

Luckily Soros has an appointment with the true and lasting DA in the near term.
Last I looked, Judaism was pretty vague about the afterlife, though beliefs evolved from a Hades-type thingy to a Heaven-type thingy, thanks to time spent among the Medes and Persians. The idea I like is that every evil deed diminishes one’s soul — in which case Mr. Soros must be running on empty by now.

I bow to your expertise in that area. I have not followed Soros’s spiritual thinking. His actions seem consistent with the aims and methods of Lucifer, who is a great hater of humanity. Lucifer seems bitter about how things have worked out for the fallen angels. Being eternal human staff for primordial evil beings is not my goal. Eternity is a long time.

[FOXNEWS] House Speaker Kevin McCarthy ...the GOP house majority whip. He replaces Eric Cantor, who got whupped because his politix are like Kevin McCarthy's... on Saturday said he is directing House committees to investigate whether federal funds are being used for "politically motivated prosecutions" amid reports that former President Donald Trump ...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US... could be indicted as early as next week.
"Here we go again — an outrageous abuse of power by a radical DA who lets violent mostly peaceful criminals walk as he pursues political vengeance against President Trump," McCarthy tweeted.
McCarthy was reacting to indications that the Manhattan District Attorney's office is potentially preparing to issue an indictment for alleged hush money payments Trump made as a presidential candidate in 2016.

I reckon if the DA charges DJT - it will be felony charges. I read somewhere that the misdemeanor charge can be up grade IF/IF it was in furtherance of another crime (or something like that). No way the DA does all this for a misdemeanor IMHO.

The first comment was mine. I got delisted.
He will definitely try to paint it as a felony. He can do that for the grand jury and for the trial assuming that the judges and jury pool are terrible. The appellate process will rupture the structure of Adam’s piñata case. His belief is that he will remain the man that indicted Trump, a hero among the lefties. His belief assumes that the current checker game continues by the same rules. Andrew Jackson overturned the checker board. That is my expectation. I have no idea when it will happen or how the game will change. I don’t expect the jurisdictions where the law is fudged to continue.

[Epoch Times] Election Watch, a national election integrity watchdog group, is raising questions about more than 10,000 individual donors who are listed on the Federal Election Commission (FEC) database as having each contributed thousands of times in four years.
An 80-year-old Midwestern woman from an affluent suburban area made nearly 9,000 small donations totaling more than $330,000 to political causes and candidates in four years, according to federal election records.
She says she didn’t.
One of many examples cited by Election Watch is a 77-year-old Colorado woman referred to as "Donor A." She contributed more than 59,000 times in separate donations totaling over $279,000 in the 2020 and 2022 election cycles. I've seen where you can donate, to Rantburg, fer instance, so much money, at some period you specify.
Another contributor, Donor B, 74, a woman from Kansas, donated 65,489 times, giving over $223,000, over the same time period. I recall some candidates bragging a lot of their contributions were small donations, with a high percentage of female contributers.
Another example from the Election Watch study is an individual referred to as Donor D. The FEC database shows Donor D making more than 37,000 separate small contributions during the 2020 and 2022 election cycles, including a few in early 2023, totaling more than $139,000. A little grade-school math suggests that 'auto-donation period' would be more than one per hour, 24/7. Most of those contributions went to a handful of political action committees in increments of three and five dollars each. The same PAC is listed as receiving 10 to 15 three and five-dollar donations in a single day from Donor D, day after day. So maybe automatic donations every two hours. I bet Alexa could do that.
An individual contributor referred to as Donor E, 72, from Louisiana, is recorded by the FEC as donating 6,554 times in the 2020 and 2022 election cycles with contributions totaling $421,112. Election Watch researchers discovered other contribution entries attributed to 24 different variations of Donor E’s personal identity information.
"The differences appear to be deliberate. These are not mistakes that are found and then corrected on next year’s report. They remain year after year. Cousins, probably - maybe second cousins. Gleason said, "The frequency and sheer volume of the transactions over years makes me think the activity is not likely a little old man clicking his PC’s pay button 50,000 times.
"In my opinion, it is behaviorally impossible for thousands of Americans to each be making thousands of donations per year. It is so methodical and structured that it appears to be done by a computer program.
"The beauty of our study is it is based on the FEC’s own data. When I asked them for an explanation, I heard nothing. What can they say?"

The Demokrat Party's lifeblood is the small anonymous donor class. Millions of donations, thousands of donors, but where does it come from?
I'm guessing it isn't mysterious billionaires in Topeka and Twin Falls!
[NYPOST] As President Joe Biden ...... 46th president of the U.S. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing...... prepares to launch a re-election bid in 2024, allies and associates are gearing up to field a flurry of criticism about his age and mental and physical abilities to take on a grueling campaign, according to a new report. And lies. Y' know when Joe was younger he drove a semi...
Democrats are already bracing for critics who point out every time the 80-year-old president trips while boarding Air Force One or makes a gaffe to put a spotlight on his age and mental competence, The Hill reported Sunday. He was in favor of gay marriage since he was in high school after seeing two men in suits kissing. True story.
"It’s really going to put the president to the test," one Democratic strategist who has worked on recent presidential campaigns told the outlet. "Campaign travel is brutal for all of us, but he has to travel from place to place and be at the top of his game at every stop because he’ll be scrutinized more than any other recent candidate." He probably spent more time in schul than most rabbis.
Republicans "are already making age and mental acuity part of their argument," the Democratic operative said, noting the wall-to-wall coverage when Biden fell off his bicycle last summer near his beach home in Delaware. After going to mass every morning, he'd stop by the black church to plot and plan civil rights strategy.
"They’re going to be looking for anything to show he’s not up for the job and because he’ll be on the road a lot, there will inevitably be some moments," the strategist said. And don't forget his imaginary Negro friend, Corn Pop.
Word of honor as a Biden!

[BREITBART] Governor Gretchen Whitmer ...Her Excellency, the dictator of Michigan, 2020 Dem VP contender who never got off the ground... (D-MI) said Sunday on MSNBC’s "Inside with Jen Psaki ...a valley girl who woke up one morning and found she was spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of State under Obama. A new American success story, under Biden she became spokeswoman for the whole administration, and she was even able to get her sister a job... " that she doesn’t know about running for president in the future but enjoys solving problems.
Psaki asked, "I have to ask you. I know you’re at this all the time. I know you brushed off the idea of throwing your hat in the ring for a presidential run in 2024. But what about the future?"
Whitmer said, "I don’t know. I don’t know what the future look like, Jen. When I left the legislature, I thought I was never going to run for office again, and here I am in my fifth year as governor of this state. I know enough about myself that if I see a problem that’s not getting fixed and I think I can do something about it, I’m going to roll my sleeves and try. All that being said, I am 51 years old. I’ve signed up for —"
Psaki interrupted, "51 years young, I think I would say."
Whitmer said, "Compared to a lot of folk in D.C. I’m going to do this job, by the end of this term, I will be 55. My mom passed when she was 59. I cared for her at the end of her life. I’m not super focused on that or worried about it. But it is in the back of my head that no one knows how long we’re going to be on this earth. I’m really lucky to be where I’m at right now. There is no other place that rather be in this world."
Psaki added, "That wasn’t exactly a no that I heard from the governor there on her plans to run for president in the future."

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
