On Saturday, the newly appointed Minister of Health, Othman Abdel-Jalil held the outgoing Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU) “fully responsible for the assaults and kidnappings, that the ministers of the new government were subjected to during the last few days.”
He also accused Dbaiba of working to intimidate ministers, and disrupt the political scene, stressing that this would not distract the new government from moving forward in assuming its duties. He noted that it would remain steadfast in its goal of implementing the necessary reforms, to eliminate rampant corruption in the country.
These remarks came during a meeting with the Parliament-backed PM, Fathi Bashagha in Tobruk. They discussed upcoming strategies and procedures that will be followed, during the coming period.
During the meeting, Abdel-Jalil assured the nation that the new government “will start its work from Tripoli as soon as possible,” and said that, “we will not allow the division of the country.”
He also pledged to work, in cooperation with the PM, to advance the democratic process in Libya, and hold Presidential and Parliamentary elections soon. This comes as part of the roadmap set out by the Parliament, and the High Council of State (HCS)
The Minister added that they will work to fully implement a comprehensive health insurance program for all citizens. He also highlighted his intention to eliminate the administrative and financial corruption in the healthcare sector. As well as provide training programs to enhance the efficiency of those employed in all hospitals nationwide.
On Thursday, former Libyan Interior Minister, Fathi Bashagha was sworn in as the country’s new Prime Minister during a session at the Libyan Parliament, in the eastern city of Tobruk.
Bashagha took his oath of office on Thursday after his government emerged from a confidence vote on Tuesday. 92 of the 101 lawmakers in attendance approved the decision, in a live broadcast from the city of Tobruk.
Libya has been unable to hold elections since its disputed legislative vote in 2014. This caused the country to split between rival administrations, on either side of the country.
[OneIndia] Pakistain has once again been retained in the Grey List by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). The country was told that it needed to do more in probing and prosecuting big shots and commanders of the UN designated terrorist groups for terror financing.
Pakistain has repeatedly failed to act against its proxies such as the Lashkar-e-Tayiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad ...literally Army of Mohammad, a Pak-based Deobandi terror group founded by Maulana Masood Azhar in 2000, after he split with the Harkat-ul-Mujaheddin. In 2002 the government of Pervez Musharraf banned the group, which changed its name to Khaddam ul-Islam and continued doing what it had been doing before without missing a beat... . Pakistain also has failed to act against the many members of this outfit and has only made symbolic arrests of the chiefs of these groups when the heat is raised on it.
Several holy warriors of both the above mentioned groups involved in attacks such as the one in Mumbai and Pulwama are walking around scot free. Operatives such as Sajid Mir who have played a crucial role in the Mumbai 26/11 attacks do not exist under Pakistain's radar. Islamabad in fact till date denies the existence of this person.
The FATF in a statement said the FATF encourages Pakistain to continue to make progress to address, as soon as possible, the one remaining item by continuing to demonstrate that investigations and prosecutions target big shots and commanders of UN-designated terrorist groups.
Pakistain should continue to work to address the one remaining item in its 2021 action plan by demonstrating a positive and sustained trend of pursuing complex investigations and prosecutions.
In 2020, Pakistain had sought to wriggle out of the Grey List and had imposed financial sanctions on 88 banned terror groups and their leaders, including 26/11 Mumbai attack criminal mastermind and Jamaat-ud-Dawa ...the front organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba... (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed ...founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba and its false-mustache offshoot Jamaat-ud-Dawa. The United Nations declared the JuD a terrorist organization in 2008 and Hafiz Saeed a terrorist as its leader. Hafiz, JuD and LeT are wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Pak intel apparatus, so that amounted to squat. He is periodically placed under house arrest so it looks like the govt is doing something. Once the heat is off they let him go.... , Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar ...One of the major players in Pak terrorism. In early 1994, India incarcerated him for his activities. In 1995, foreign tourists were kidnapped in Jammu and Kashmir. The kidnappers included his release among their demands. One of the hostages managed to escape but the rest were eventually killed. In 1999, he was freed by the Indian government in exchange for passengers on hijacked Indian Airlines Flight 814 that had been diverted to Kandahar. The hijackers were led by Masood Azhar's brother, Ibrahim Athar. Once he was handed over to the hijackers, they fled to Pak territory despite the fact that Islamabad had earlier stated that any of the hijackers would be jugged at the border. The Pak government had also previously indicated that Azhar would be allowed to return home since he did not face any charges there. Shortly after his release, he made a public address to an estimated 10,000 people in Karachi, firing up the rubes against America and India... and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

The Palestinian leaders’ main argument is that the international community is being hypocritical and racist by being more sympathetic towards the Ukrainians because of their color, religion and race. and NOT being general assholes

I don't seem to recall Ukrainian school books saying Russia belongs to them (Kiev Ukraine?). I believe Putin position is the same as yours, their neighbor belongs to them.

The UAE didn't cancel the F-35 order. Joe Biden did. When the UAE gave up on trying to buy it the Russians claimed victory and Your Weapons Suck, but it's just another example about how the Russians send out half truths while using Biden's duplicity towards us against us.

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Since the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war, news about the recruitment of Syrian fighters to go to Ukraine to take part in the fight for either side have been emerged.
On February 26, 2022, the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for people around the world to join the fight against Russia, saying, “all citizens of the world, friends of Ukraine, peace and democracy, anyone who wants to join the defense of Ukraine, Europe and the world can come and fight side by side with the Ukrainians against the Russian war criminals.”
Regarding the issue of the joining of the foreigners, especially Syrians, to the Russian-Ukrainian war, the Syrians for Truth and Justice organization (STJ) interviewed two sources from Rif Dimashq governorate and curbed doubt with certainty.
The first source was a fighter registered his name with the Syrian government’s security services to travel to Ukraine and fight alongside the Russian forces.
“I heard, by sheer coincidence, that names of those willing to fight in Ukraine are being registered. The registration was mediated by the reconciliation official in the area where I live,” the source who abstained from disclosing his name told the STJ.
“I approached the reconciliation official and asked him to help me register my name. He did. The man communicated with an assistant surgeon in the Air Force Intelligence Branch in Harasta city, Rif Dimashq,” he added.
The source pointed out that this process was done by a “Russian security company” and the priority is for the fighters who fought under Russian officers or within the ranks of the Division 25 of the Syrian government forces.
The second source, as the STJ reported, was an official in one of the local reconciliation committees in an area in Rif Dimashq who said:
“I was at the Air Force Intelligence Branch to help a number of wanted persons surrender themselves and obtain a pardon in return. There, one officer started talking in front me, saying that they will prepare lists with the names of fighters who have sufficient combat experience. These fighters will be subjected to a small-scale training by Russian officers in preparation for sending them to Russia and transporting them to fight in Ukraine with the Russian side.”
As for Turkey’s intention to send fighters to Ukraine similar to what it had previously done in Libya, fighters are already being registered to be sent to Ukraine, through initiatives led by some faction commanders or individuals, but not by the Turkish state itself, according to the STJ.
The STJ interviewed a first-class officer from one of the SNA factions where he refuted the allegations that the Turkish intelligence service had held extensive meetings with the SNA commanders regarding the deployment of fighters to Ukraine.
In an exclusive statement to North Press, the STJ CEO, Bassam al-Ahmad said, “Of course, members of the Turkish-backed factions in Syria are registering their names to partake the war in Ukraine, but the situation in Ukraine is different from that in Libya or Armenia, so that Turkey is still apprehensive.”
“Although they are called ‘National Army’, but those factions are mere mercenaries, so they are ready to go,” he added.
