[WASHINGTONTIMES] The White House said Monday that President B.O. believes a ban on bullets commonly used with the AR-15 rifle will save coppers' lives. Cops are dropping left and right, shot with AR-15s. Right?
"We are looking at additional ways to protect our brave men and women in law enforcement, and believe that this process is valuable for that reason alone," said White House press secretary Josh Earnest.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is accepting public comment on an administration proposal to ban .223 M855 "green tip" ammunition most often used with AR-15 rifles. House politicians from both parties, as well as sportsmen and some law enforcement officials, are objecting the move.
Mr. Earnest called it a "common-sense step."
"The president has long believed that there are some common-sense steps that we can take ... to ensure that we're protecting the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans while also taking some common-sense steps to prevent people who shouldn't have guns from getting them," he said. "A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again."
Mr. Earnest added, "This seems to be an area where everyone should agree that if there are armor-piercing bullets available that can fit into easily concealed weapons, that it puts our law enforcement at considerably more risk."

BATF needs a chopping block too.
Fuck your Bureaucracy, you sold the whole thing out to become a political wing of the democrat party under a fake president.
You all disgrace this place.
Fire EVERY official involved in this flim flam super sham plan.
You are not Public servants, you are National Criminals abusing power like sky monkey that appointed you.
You, like him, belong in prison.

Time for those cops who 'fear' this to get out of the profession if its that much of a threat. There are others out there who can do the job (and have been in Afghanistan, Iraq, et al). You know prisons are the ultimate police state and still there are assaults, rapes, and murders.

Rule By Decree. Impeach this tyrant - before others take more direct measures.
He already is. Levy taxes now by Decree and completely ripping apart the constitution by doing the job Congress does.
Since congress won't do anything against him, even using the powers of the purse, there is little we can do unless we want to take a more active role in opposing tyranny.

Has there ever been a police officer killed with an M855 round?
Have they ever been used in a crime at all, by a civilian I mean?
Seems like police wear Level IIIA body armor, which would not defend against any .223, penetrator core or otherwise.

"Is that a rifle in your pants, or are you just happy to see me?" Get asked that all the time.
Seems to me the biggest threat to the safety of LEOs are politicians and professional agitators fueling the moral decline of large segments of the population.

Would these rounds work in the guns given away as part of Fast & Furious and if so is this perhaps an incompetant way to limit the damage caused by that adventure?

The lefties are going after a particular type of ammunition even though there is no problem with it. If they were able to do this, they would then go after other ammunition, and then more. It is a way of disarming the population and trying to dodge the 2nd. The American people are an inconvenient impediment to their tyranny. Were the administration to try to disarm the population, there would be a great number of outlaws. These disarmament bozos really don't understand unintended consequences do they? They have no idea what they would unleash if they pursued such policies.
[FREEBEACON] The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is offering up to $300,000 for the creation of bracelets that can track how much Americans drink.
The federal agency issued a challenge on Monday for individuals and businesses to invent a "wearable alcohol biosensor" that shows a person's blood alcohol level in real time. The government envisions a device that can be worn by Americans "in the course of their daily lives."
I had two sips of wine on Saturday, though I did reduce about a cup of wine in the course of making a double batch of chili -- possibly I breathed in some of the fumes. I can understand that a Fitbit-type bracelet might be of use when going out drinking, but under what other circumstances?
"Current technologies for real time monitoring of alcohol consumption, used in criminal justice applications, have performed adequately, but have disadvantages for broader use," the NIH said in a notice announcing the challenge in the Federal Register. "Broader use"......Fallopian tube disrupter ?
The NIH's National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) said it wants a device that can store data on how much a person drinks.
"The device should be inconspicuous, low profile, and appealing to the wearer," the notice said. "The design can take the form of jewelry, clothing, or any other format located in contact with the human body. A non-invasive technology is preferred."

Perhaps it could be mounted to their cellie, or be incorporated as an I-pod sniffer which immediately broadcasts a signal. The steering wheel braced I-pot, or dash mounted cellie [where I see a great many being used] could send a signal to an electric squib which ignites an explosive charge [think claymore mine] killing or disabling the driver/operator instantly. A remote 'command detonator' could be sold separately.
My personal interest lies in the remote command detonator and the 5 county sales district which I intend to apply for.

You know they're gonna build a backdoor into it so the NSA can have access to all this real time information. They wanna know all about what we're doing but they won't say jack squat about what they're doing. Orwell would have been proud.

the 'SCRAM' Ankle Bracelets for 'home-bound' incarceration check real-time blood alcohol levels 24/7.
They only 'upload' the results once or twice a day, though.

Cause the degreed aholes can't figure it out by beverage sales. Duh. You know the 'revenuers' are particularly interested in that as well. In fact have been tracking production and distribution for many years. Just give them a call for the data.
[Wapo] President Obama, seeking to explain his veto of a bill that would have leapfrogged the approval process for the Keystone XL pipeline, in an interview with a North Dakota station repeated some false claims that had previously earned him Pinocchios. Yet he managed to make his statement even more misleading than before, suggesting the pipeline would have no benefit for American producers at all.

Pinocchio-In-Chief is a chronic liar? Who would have known?
In psychiatry, pathological lying (also called compulsive lying, pseudologia fantastica and mythomania) is a behavior of habitual or compulsive lying. It was first described in the medical literature in 1891 by Anton Delbrueck.
“I’ve already said I’m happy to look at how we can increase pipeline production for U.S. oil, but Keystone is for Canadian oil to send that down to the Gulf. It bypasses the United States and is estimated to create a little over 250, maybe 300 permanent jobs. We should be focusing more broadly on American infrastructure for American jobs and American producers, and that’s something that we very much support.”
Lie 1: I’m happy to look at how we can increase pipeline production for U.S. oil—his behavior belies this
Lie 2: It bypasses the United States—this idiot has no knowledge of U.S. geography or history. Is anyone sure he wasn’t born in Kenya?
Lie 3: is estimated to create a little over 250, maybe 300 permanent jobs—estimates have been reported of up to 40,000 construction jobs created. Perhaps the jobs are not permanent but that is no reason not to go ahead with Keystone. The nature of construction jobs is temporary. The building of the Interstate highway system created a large number of temporary jobs initially. This was good for the economy. Likewise, similar comment about the Alaskan pipeline. Jobs.
Lie 4: We should be focusing more broadly on American infrastructure for American jobs—so far there has been little focus on improving the U.S. infrastructure other than for a number of failed solar energy companies that were created via crony capitalism.

He just needs something that sounds kinda plausible and his press pukes will run with it and most of the population will remain willfully ignorant and allow him to rule however he wants.
[Hot Air] Ever wonder why multiple investigations of the Benghazi attack failed to turn up much from Hillary Clinton's e-mails? So did the House Select Committee investigating the attack on the facility and the failures that led to it. To their surprise, the Secretary of State had conducted all of her e-mail on a private account rather than an official State Department account -- and her aides had carefully culled only the e-mails they wanted investigators to see. The New York Times' Michael Schmidt dropped that bombshell earlier this evening. Eight years of the Champ followed by four or possibly eight additional years of the Clintons, yes of course, that's the ticket.

As an IT man just thinking in the security problems, in her case national security problems gives me the creeps. And that feels qualified to become POTUS? One of them being her mails sitting in the computers of her Internet provider in full view of its employees.
PS: No I didn't forget the word woan after the and that. It is and that feels qualified for POTUS not "and that woman feels qualified"

Furthermore, she encoded all of it with her Tom Swift decoder ring, so nya.

At this point she has so much baggage of disaster that she'd be better off not running. But I think she will, if nothing else to increase influence and bring in more money.
Although the ex-head of the foundation, Eric Braverton, the one who QUIT in January after getting a pay raise and extension to 2017? Yeah, he might want to make sure his Will is updated.

Maybe the Pubs should encourage her to run. Although, I am not confident they would take advantage of the "chew toy" handed to them. Moreover, many uninformed lefty voters would vote for her just because she is a woman (although that has not been established for certain) much like the POTUS we got in 2008--white guilt and sexist guilt or just because they think it would be "cool" to have the 1st woman POTUS.

The Pubs would be reluctant to go after her during the run up to the election because they would be afraid to be branded as anti-woman. You can be sure the Donks would do that every chance they got. There seems to be some prohibition against beating up on a woman or a black during debates. Black seems to trump woman as in 2008.

I don't know - will she or won't she - but if she does, all her opponents need to ensure that - at every possible turn - they point the two biggest albatrosses hanging from her neck - BENGHAZI (that makes a difference, and that will keep on giving) - and "e-mail-gate".
"BENGHAZI ..... E-mail-gate"
"BNENGHAZI .... E-mail gate"
Every step she takes, everywhere she goes, all day, every day. The stories will eventually get traction.
