[BREITBART] A woman in Ashland, Oregon, who allegedly assaulted a pro-life activist by shoving a wet sanitary napkin into his mouth has been incarcerated Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un!
Good. That is unacceptably rude, in addition to being assault and battery.
Valerie Starushok, 21, approached the pro-life activist on January 27, the day of the March for Life, in front of a Planned Parenthood ...has received federal funding since 1970, when President Richard Nixon signed into law the Family Planning Services and Population Research Act. It is sometimes described as the gynecololgical wing of the Democratic party. facility and "struck him in the face with a wet sanitary napkin," says an Ashland police report. Starushok also allegedly yelled profanities at the activist as the video shows:
"Eat this [expletive] pad, you c**k face!" Starushok allegedly shouted at the activist.
The pro-life activist is heard in the video saying he would have to call police. The activist said the woman caught him off-guard and "shoved her bloody maxi pad into [his] mouth."
Hold hard there -- wet sanitary napkin is not at all the same as bloody maxi pad. The latter is not merely disgusting but, depending on the woman in question, may be a serious health hazard.
NBC affiliate KOBi5 reports Starushok turned herself in to police and was lodged in the Jackson County jail on one count of harassment.

[The Hill] Hispanic organizers are struggling to tamp down panic in their communities as federal authorities begin to implement President Trump's executive orders on immigration.
One of the first cases to receive national attention, the deportation of Arizona resident Guadalupe Garcia de Rayos, has put undocumented and mixed status communities on edge.
"It's fair to say we’re all extremely troubled by the deportation action we saw take place yesterday in Arizona," said Janet Murguia, president of the National Council of La Raza.
Your organization doesn't even believe in the validity of the United States as a nation. Who cares what you think?
"The first deportation [after] his executive order is of a working mom with two U.S. kids," she added.
On the campaign trail, Trump initially promised to enact a deportation force to deport all 11 million undocumented immigrants, starting with dangerous criminals.

they keep downplaying (or omitting entirely) that this illegal alien stole an American citizen's SSN, thereby committing another crime and creating a hardship for, yes, A REAL AMERICAN CITIZEN

ABCCBSNBCCNN and the jackass party all care greatly. Me? Not so much. In fact, I'm getting damn sick and tired of hearing them spout their racist nonsense.

Spent an afternoon on a staff ride with him discussing terrain and it's influence on maneuver as a young company commander. Brilliant tactician, grounded in common sense and plain language, easy manner and charismatic command presence. I was honored!

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5/AP) -- A United Airlines pilot was removed from a plane bound for San Francisco International Airport after a bizarre rant about politics and her divorce.
It happened Saturday before United Flight 455 left from Austin, Texas.
The pilot got passengers’ attention when she boarded the plane in her street clothes.
"She shows up dressed like a civilian and asks to us to take a vote to see whether she should change into her uniform or fly as is," said Pam O’Neal, who was aboard the flight.
Passenger Randy Reiss tweeted, she "asked if we were ok with her flying like that... then says "sorry I’m going through s(sic) divorce.""
She then used the plane’s overhead PA system to rant about President Trump and Hillary Clinton -- calling them both "a‐holes" and then ranting about her divorce. That’s when passengers began tweeting to United to get a new pilot.

something is missing here: aircrew have to present id to the gate agent, who confirms that not only they are who they say they are but also working that flight. so how did Madame Fruitcake get past that checkpoint?
Casual Flightcrew Day?
Any bets on her going for three and becoming homeless?

CF,
This may have been someone being crazy like a fox - if she was being tagged to provide support for the Soon To Be Ex, that's a quick way out of it without a court sanction afterwards.
Or she's crazier than a shiathouse rat. Either one.

Now she doesn't have to fly anymore but they can't terminate her, will get sympathy of the court, will receive LTD paid counseling through her employer's healthcare program AND will get awarded a job stress related disability claim.
If her bag is short of some rocks, I'm sorry. If not, her few minutes of fame were brilliantly played.

TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome). On a range of I to V, a TDS Level IV. Level V is when the patient is babbling incoherently, frothing at the mouth and a danger to themselves and others around them.
Elizabeth Warren hit Level V in Congress last week until Mitch McConnell made her STFU.

The UN Security Council on Friday welcomed the conclusion of the electoral process in Somalia and the election of a new president in the country.
On Wednesday, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, former prime minister in Somalia’s transitional federal government between 2009 and 2010, was elected the new president of Somalia.
Welcome to your job, sir. Here is your oath of office, a listing of your numbered accounts, and the code phrase for your international force personal protection package...
In a presidential statement adopted here, the 15-nation Security Council welcomed the political and security progress in Somalia since 2012 and underscored the need to maintain the momentum towards democratic governance in Somalia.
Because boy howdy we've had some impressive momentum towards democracy in Somalia, yessiree Bob, impressive...
It underlined the importance of the timely and transparent appointment of ministers and cabinet positions in consultation with the Somali parliament, according to the statement.
The council members also called on President Farmajo and his government to give urgent attention to the immediate risk of famine, to take active steps to prevent it, and to address the consequences of the severe drought in Somalia.
Because the whole problem with famine in Somalia is that no one has been paying attention to it...
The country’s new president will have to deal with multiple challenges facing the country including security threat from extremist group Al-Shabab and the severe humanitarian situation.
UN statistics show that five million Somalis — more than 40 percent of the country’s population — do not have sufficient food.
Besides, Somalia was one of seven Muslim-majority countries whose citizens were banned from entering the United States for 90 days by a now-suspended Trump administration executive order.
Wait...

Perhaps the issue is too many Somalis rather than not enough food?

Protesters against police violence have set a cars on fire during a rally in the Paris suburb of Bobigny, which followed a police officer’s assault on a 22-year-old man. An RTL van set on fire by the protesters could be seen burning in the live footage.
Dozens of young people have occupied an empty lot in Bobigny in the prefecture of Seine-Saint-Denis department. Some of the protesters have been carrying banners saying “Justice for Theo,” the name of the young man who was sexually assaulted by a police officer with a truncheon.
Hundreds of people gathered in Bobigny not far from the courthouse earlier today to protest police violence, Le Parisien reported. The demonstration began peacefully, but turned violent at around 3pm local time.
“We decided to organize this gathering. The announcement has been running on Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat… it made some noise, it shows how much people can’t stand this situation anymore,” one of the organizers said, according to France Bleu Paris.
During the protest, demonstrators threw projectiles at police officers and set fire to cars and trash cans.
“Several vehicles, including a media truck, were set on fire and police officers had to intervene to rescue a young child trapped in a burning vehicle,” a prefecture statement said, according to Reuters.
A video submitted by an RT France’s reporter shows brutally smashed store windows and groceries thrown out of counters and fridges lying all over the store floor. Le Monde also reported of other cases of vandalism on the streets of the suburban town.
The 22 year-old man, identified only as Theo, was attacked with a baton during what police later said was an ID check in Aulnay-sous-Bois (another Paris suburb), on February 2. A CCTV camera footage shows a police officer “applying a truncheon blow horizontally across the buttocks with a truncheon” and after that Theo’s pants “slipped down on their own," a police source cited by AFP said.
Judging by eyewitness accounts and the video, “there are insufficient elements to show that this was a rape,” the source added.
One of the police officers was charged with rape and three others with aggravated assault. The case is currently under investigation.
Theo believes that the police officer used the baton “on purpose,” television station BFM quoted him as saying.
After a search, Theo was handcuffed and taken to a police car, where officers again insulted him, spat at him and gave him beatings. At the police station, another officer saw his injuries and he was sent to the hospital where he was treated for an anal tear.

As the Instapundit says, it wasn't a failed coup, it was a successful purge. A purge has consequences, just as an omelette has broken eggs.
On 1 September, the life of Ahmet and Fatma Özer*, married teachers from Istanbul, changed dramatically. Accused of being sympathisers of Fethullah Gülen, both were fired. On the same day Ayse Yilmaz*, a law student, received a text informing her that her father, a civil servant, had been detained for alleged involvement in terrorism and coup plotting. “It was the day we were blacklisted,” Fatma recalls. “The day we were erased as citizens.”
The Justice and Development party (AKP) government accuses Gülen, an Islamic cleric who lives in the US, of organising the bloody coup attempt on 15 July. However, the extent of Gülen’s involvement remains unclear. Nevertheless, those who have expressed even the slightest sympathy with the cleric’s views, or who have made use of his businesses – which include a bank, schools and media organisations – have found themselves accused of coup plotting, like the Özer and Yilmaz families.
On 20 July last year the president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, declared a state of emergency, enabling him and the AKP cabinet to bypass parliament and rule by decree. The crackdown on possible coup plotters has since been turned into an all-out witch-hunt not only against alleged Gülen sympathisers but also leftists, Kurds and anyone critical of the government.

The geography is valuable; too bad that the majority of people occupying it suck.
[Washingtonian] Carl Higbie has interviewed for the position of White House press secretary, according to two senior administration officials familiar with the matter.
"Well, I can say that I’ve offered my services," Higbie confirms for Washingtonian when reached by phone. "I haven’t heard back from the administration yet. I’m honored to be even considered for this." Higbie says he has spoken with "a number of people" in interview rounds for the post.
Higbie interviewed for the position on Thursday, according to the sources. Higbie declined to confirm this. On Twitter Friday night after this story was originally published, Higbie said he has had no formal interviews.
Higbie, a former Navy SEAL, is close with the Trump family, particularly Eric Trump, whom he met in the green room after appearing on the Kelly File last year. He was one of the first official surrogates for the president on the campaign trail. He was also spokesman for the Great America PAC, which purported to earmark donations "from the grassroots" for the Trump campaign.

I checked out the Washingtonian main web site, it's very much a far left organization. Which lead me to believe that this is fake news designed to disrupt DJT.
I have not been able to find any corroborating news or article to support the Washingtonian article that does not refer back to the Washingtonian as a source.

30 years ago I would not have been nearly as skeptical of this kind of story. However, in the course of the last decade or so I've shot right past skeptical into deeply cynical territory.
Lies, damn lies and statistics, or something like that.

OK, do we accept the notion that the Air Force is willing to lie about this in order to get their way? (Kind of like the Navy and LCS?)

When you have the Air Force general in charge of F35 project coordination recorded saying that 'any officer who is not willing to do anything necessary to secure funding is a traitor and should resign' (and he used those words), I don't think lie is too strong a word.

After one stint consulting at Naval Air about their new logistics system I feel confident in saying that at the top levels the distinction between political and military gets very very hazy.

If I read the article correctly, Red Flag is mainly set up so the Killer Turkey is shooting fishes in a barrel! The trick here is getting the fishes to stay still long enough to be shot.
So Red Flag is basically meaningless. F-111 anyone?

Given our current SecDef, I wonder how many USAF generals are willing to jeopardize their career by falsifying how well the F-35 did. SecDef Mattis doesn't strike me as someone easily fooled and isn't likely to tolerate generals (of any branch) lying to him or pushing an agenda contrary to the best interests of the US Military.

Endearing yourself to your people,
So pallid and fearful and feeble,
You've blocked them in corners
And mocked them as foreigners
And tossed them a hat like a steeple.
[REDALERTPOLITICS] Transgenderism and pro-abortion advocates at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan were shown a contrarian perspective on Thursday during a Q&A session with Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro.
After being challenged by a young woman who told him he is invalidating transgender individuals, Shapiro responded by debunking the popular narrative on transgenderism.
"As far as the actual psychological issues at play, it used to be called gender identity disorder; now they call it gender dysphoria," he said. "The idea that sex or gender is malleable is not true. I’m not denying your humanity if you are a transgender person. I am saying that you are not the sex which you claim to be. You’re still a human being, and you’re a human being with an issue then I wish you Godspeed in dealing with it in any whatever way you see fit. But if you’re going to dictate to me that I’m supposed to pretend, I’m supposed to pretend that men are women and women are men, no. My answer is no. I’m not going to -- I’m not going to modify basic biology because it threatens your subjective sense of what you are."
The young woman attempted to make an argument for objective transgenderism by claiming gender is decided in one’s own mind and thus deserves validation from others. Shapiro debunked that claim as well.
"Let me ask you this. I won’t ask how old -- I will ask how old you are, because you’re young enough that it’s probably not insulting to ask you," he asked the young woman.
"I’m 22, so I’m probably a little bit naïve, right?" she said.
"No. Why aren’t you 60?... Why can’t you identify as 60?" he asked.
"It’s not the same as gender. You can’t just...."
"You’re right," he said. "Age is significantly less important than gender. You can’t magically change your gender. You can’t magically change your sex. You can’t magically change your age."
The young woman tried to argue that legal age can be changed, which isn’t true. Eventually, it was accepted that legally or mentally changing your identity does not make you a physically different person. Age and gender are both qualities that cannot be physically changed by self-identification.
