[Regnum] A bear wandered into the village of Turuntaevo in Buryatia and was shot. This was reported on Friday, October 30, by the Buryatia Department of Natural Resources.
Witnesses spotted the bear at night. It emerged onto the road and began wandering near the crosswalk.
"Due to the fact that the predator posed a threat to the lives and health of village residents, it was regulated," the department told RIA Novosti.
Yesterday, one of the best predator hunters in the Krasnoyarsk Territory died in a bear attack. The day before, a polar bear attacked a 23-year-old worker on the Taimyr Peninsula in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. He was diagnosed with scalp wounds to his head, back, and hands. He was airlifted to the hospital. A search is already underway for the bear that attacked him.
Earlier, on October 7, a hunter shot and killed a bear that was smashing cars in a parking lot near Ivdel in the Sverdlovsk region. Another predator was discovered and shot on the evening of October 6 in the Ivdel-3 microdistrict on the grounds of a sawmill. The bear had climbed over the fence of a summer cottage community, destroyed a barn, killed, dragged off, and buried a large pig.
