[Regnum] Russian troops have liberated the villages of Barilovka in the Sumy region and Alisovka in the Kharkiv region. The Ministry of Defense reported this on October 28.
The department noted that military groups of the "North" forces had established control over populated areas. According to the Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) lost over 195 people in the group's area of ​​responsibility in the past 24 hours.
They added that the Russian Armed Forces also struck energy facilities and the transport network used by the Ukrainian army.
The day before, Russian troops liberated the village of Obshchee in the Zaporizhzhia region. While executing their combat mission, soldiers were able to advance deep into enemy lines and dislodge Ukrainian forces from the village.
Between October 17 and 23, 13 settlements in the SVO zone came under Russian control. Specifically, Russian forces liberated Omelnyk, Tymoshivka, Chervony Yar, and Myrivka in the Zaporizhia region.
A week earlier, from October 10 to 16, Russian troops liberated 12 settlements in the special military operation zone. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the LPR was fully under the control of the Russian Armed Forces, with 10% of the DPR remaining to be liberated, and 16.5% in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Furthermore, as Putin noted, Russian military forces are creating a security zone in Ukraine's border regions to prevent shelling of Russian regions. The depth of this zone will depend on the intensity of Ukrainian air strikes on Russian territory.
