| [ZERO] The U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals on October 23 affirmed a district court order blocking President Donald Trump's June 2025 federalization of 4,000 California National Guard troops for Los Angeles, ruling 2-1 that neither statute the administration relied on covered it. Sung's opinion, filed October 23, says the order "exceeded the President's statutory authority and encroached on Congress's calling forth power," which made it "ultra vires and unconstitutional." |
