🇮🇷 Iran has a division and three mobile brigades on its Kurdish border, and the Guards are reportedly adding thousands more.

The Artesh's 28th Division sits in Sanandaj, with brigades at Sanandaj, Saghez and Marivan. Kurdish rights groups say about 3,000 Guards troops arrived in recent weeks.

So is Iran bracing for a Kurdish front?

What is in place
→ The army's 28th Division and three mobile assault brigades
→ The brigades are built to answer revolts or invasions fast

What is new
→ Opposition sources report Guards and heavy weapons in Sanandaj and Baneh (unverified)
→ In August an army adviser said special forces ran 14 raids into Iraqi Kurdistan in two months

Mountains make a big invasion slow and small raids easy, and Tehran is preparing for the second.
