[Regnum] A security guard at a company in the Boguchansky District in northern Krasnoyarsk Krai died in a bear attack. This was announced on October 23 by District Head Alexei Medvedev.
The incident occurred at a production facility a few kilometers from the village of Boguchany. A bear attacked a guard at night.
"The animal was eliminated as quickly as possible. Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating all the causes that led to the tragedy," Medvedev wrote on his channel on MAKH.
He noted that, according to official data, 67 bears have been killed in the district this season. Medvedev urged residents to be vigilant and to educate children about the dangers, reminding them not to spend time outdoors, especially at night.
A series of other incidents involving bears approaching people have been previously reported. In some cases, the predators attack people. For example, on October 18, in the Pinezhsky District of the Arkhangelsk Region, a bear mauled a 49-year-old hunter who had gone berry picking. Since the spring, according to regional authorities, 28 people have been killed in bear attacks.

A bear climbed into a school cafeteria through a drainpipe in the Angara region.
In a village in the Irkutsk Region, a brown bear approached a school, destroyed the porch, and attempted to climb up a drainpipe into the wooden building. Its target was the cafeteria, from which odors were emanating. The bear lost its grip on the drainpipe and fell; it was later killed. The incident was reported by the People's Front of the Angara Region on MAX.
The incident occurred in the village of Zalog in the Kachugsky District. There, the animal had approached people twice in the space of two weeks.
According to the ONF, the bear first wandered through the village in broad daylight, just 300 meters from the school. A reserve employee managed to chase the animal out of the village and kill it. Local residents were terrified to even imagine what would have happened to the bear's visit if it had encountered children returning home from school.
The villagers' peace was recently disturbed by another bear, who came at night following the smells from the dining room. The predator broke the porch and railings, ripped out the lock, and then began climbing a drainpipe to the second floor, but the pipe couldn't support his weight. The bear collapsed and rushed toward the apartment buildings, scratching at the windows of one.
"The school custodian noticed the noise and rumble and called the fireman, an experienced hunter. The man immediately realized a bear had roamed the school grounds. The men called 911," the school administration said.
The men drove the bear away from the house, pursued it, and eventually killed it outside the village.
