[Regnum] More than 800 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones were intercepted overnight over 18 Russian regions and the Black Sea. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported this on the morning of October 22.
Air defense alert forces repelled the enemy air raid from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM Moscow time. A total of 808 UAVs were shot down over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Vladimir, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Leningrad, Oryol, Rostov, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tambov, Tver, Tula, and Yaroslavl regions, the Moscow region, Crimea, and the sea.
Several regions reported the aftermath of the airstrike. The enemy sent 630 UAVs toward Moscow, most of which were shot down by air defense forces at distant points. Two people were injured in New Moscow.
Around 20 enemy drones were destroyed in the Lipetsk region. Several private and apartment buildings, as well as a clinic, were damaged in the regional center. An unexploded warhead from a drone fell on the roof of the medical facility. One man, born in 2001, was injured.
Ukrainian forces have recently intensified attacks on civilian targets in Russian regions. Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that Kyiv regime forces, using terrorist methods, are deliberately targeting civilians and attempting to destroy civilian objects and transport. In response, the Russian Armed Forces are striking military targets in Ukraine and facilities used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
