Syria reports two soldiers injured in Raqqa landmine blast
2026-10-22
[North Press] Syria’s Defense Ministry said on Wednesday that two members of the military engineering department of the Syrian army were injured in a landmine explosion in the northern Raqqa countryside, with one sustaining serious injuries.

The ministry said in a post that the incident occurred while the two personnel were carrying out a mission to clear and dismantle landmines in the Ain Issa area, north of Raqqa.

Explosive remnants of war, including landmines and unexploded ordnance, continue to pose a threat to civilians and engineering teams across Syria.
