Field sources report the outbreak of a sharp dispute between Amjad Khaled
…a former commander of Yemen’s Transport Brigade, aligned with Yemen’s Islah Party, the political party of Yemen’s branch of the Muslim Brotherhood…
and the Houthi leader known as "Abu Ishaq al-Marwani," stemming from phone calls that Khaled received from figures in Taiz Governorate with whom he has kinship ties and personal relationships, urging him not to assist the Houthis in their battles against the city of Taiz.

The sources stated that al-Marwani, who serves as an assistant to the Houthi leader (Abu Nasr al-Sha'af), summoned Amjad Khaled after learning of the calls, confronting him about their content and the reasons for not informing the group's leadership about them.

The sources added that al-Marwani accused Khaled of working on behalf of Saudi Arabia and the legitimate government, and began issuing warnings against him, in addition to hinting at submitting a report about him to the group's leader, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi; according to the same field sources.

A continuous debate persists regarding Amjad Khaled's contributions alongside the group in its battles in Taiz over the past weeks.
