🇸🇦🇾🇪 Saudi Arabia's air defences stop most Houthi missiles, but not the ones that matter, the Wall Street Journal reportedly says.

→ Over 90% of missiles aimed at protected areas are intercepted
→ More than half of all attacks have hit places with no air defence cover

So can a rich kingdom ever cover a country three times the size of Texas?
Why the shield has holes
→ A 1,300 km border and oil sites, airports and cities spread across the country
→ Riyadh's airport alone has been attacked at least 20 times, and interceptors are reportedly running low
What it means
→ The Houthis don't have to beat the system, only find where it isn't

Saudi Arabia bought a shield for the places it chose to protect.
The Houthis choose the places.
