, Pak state media reported Wednesday, as authorities continue operations against murderous Moslem groups across the country.

Thirteen snuffies were killed in an intelligence-based operation in North Wazoo, according to security sources cited by state media. Pak authorities identified the snuffies as members of the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban

In a separate operation in Mastung district of Balochistan, security forces killed five murderous Moslems, state broadcaster Radio Pakistain reported. Authorities said weapons and ammunition were recovered from the site, while clearance and search operations continued in the area.

Separately, police said they foiled an attack on a police checkpoint in Shadipur, in Kohat district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Seven police personnel were maimed when unidentified snuffies opened fire on the checkpoint, prompting a police response that forced the attackers to flee. A search operation was launched to locate the assailants.

The latest operations come amid a broader increase in murderous Moslem violence in Pakistain, particularly in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Dawn, citing data from the Pakistain Institute for Conflict and Security Studies, reported that KP recorded 54 murderous Moslem attacks in August, up from 36 in July.
