Local sources told North Press that Israeli forces stationed at al-Jazeera Barracks shelled the outskirts of Abdeen in western Daraa countryside on Saturday with several artillery rounds. Four shells landed in the area as reconnaissance aircraft flew overhead. No casualties were reported.
The sources said the shelling caused material damage after shrapnel reached residents’ homes. Artillery fire also struck the outskirts of Maariyah village in the Yarmouk Basin.
The sources added that Israeli military vehicles entered an area west of Saida al-Hanout in southern Quneitra countryside and opened random fire toward residential neighborhoods. No casualties were reported, but the incident caused panic among residents.
During the incursion, the forces intercepted several cattle herders and prevented them from grazing in the valley area west of the village, according to the sources.
