[HonestReporting] Three more Palestinian Islamic Jihad child soldiers, aged 16 and 17, have been identified in newly released martyr posters, bringing the number of confirmed minors deployed by Gaza terrorist groups during the October 7 War to 26.
Three more child soldiers were announced by the terrorist organization Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) in a Friday tranche of October 7 War martyr posters.
16-year-old Abdul Fattah Atef Fanana was announced as a member of the Gaza Brigade’s Al-Tuffah and Al-Daraj Battalion. 16-year-old Samih Firas Al-Dahdar and 17-year-old Matar Zakaria Al-Batsh were in the same Al-Quds Brigade unit as Fanana.
All three teenagers were confirmed by HonestReporting by cross-referencing Hamas Health Ministry casualty data with the posters and the social media accounts of the child soldiers and their families.
The three join 23 other October 7 War child soldiers confirmed by HonestReporting, bringing the total confirmed minors deployed by Hamas, PIJ, and the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) to 26.
The Palestinian child soldier phenomenon during the war has received little to no coverage since evidence of the practice began to grow in July. |
