[Regnum] Iran's armed forces struck 19 merchant vessels attempting to illegally transit the Strait of Hormuz. This was reported on September 27 by the Iranian news agency Fars, run by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Seven ships were hit on the night of September 27, and another 12 the night before last. The exact ships attacked and their nationalities have not been reported.

The agency noted that US President Donald Trump's claims that their forces have complete control over shipping in the Strait of Hormuz are false.
On September 27, Trump announced that a record volume of oil, exceeding pre-war levels with Iran, had been transported through the Strait of Hormuz the previous night. However, he did not specify the quantity transported.
