Russian troops have finally encircled the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defensive stronghold established by Ukrainian militants in Dobropillia, Donetsk People's Republic. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense press service on September 22.
Units of the Center Group of Forces completed the encirclement. The Ministry of Defense clarified that units of the 4th and 15th Brigades of the Ukrainian National Guard, as well as the 425th Assault Regiment "Skala," are currently blocked in the city. Russian Army forces have now begun eliminating these military formations.
At the same time, Russian troops continue to advance in the direction of Aleksandrovka.
On September 21, DPR head Denis Pushilin reported an advance toward Dobropillia from the south and northeast . The main supply route from Dnipropetrovsk Oblast passes through the city, supplying the Ukrainian group in the Kramatorsk-Sloviansk agglomeration.
