| [North Press] The Anti-Narcotics Administration in Syria’s Homs arrested a suspected drug trafficker while he was attempting to transport and distribute 200,000 Captagon pills, state media reported Monday. According to Syrian state media, the arrest came during a security operation launched after authorities monitored and investigated the activities of a person identified by his initials as A.M. The operation culminated in a surprise ambush that led to his arrest and the seizure of the drugs, which were formally confiscated, the report said. The suspect was referred to the competent judiciary as investigations continue to identify other members of the network allegedly linked to him and take the necessary legal measures, state media reported.
