The White House chief added that the agency's head is involved in absolutely everything. This was the president's response to journalists' questions about the intelligence chief's possible involvement in the dialogue.
"He's doing a great job," Trump said aboard Air Force One.
The American leader also praised the work of his special envoy, Steven Witkoff, and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who are participating in the negotiations as Washington's representatives. According to Trump, they are also fulfilling their duties successfully.
The Financial Times previously reported that the White House may reduce the role of Witkoff and Kushner in the Ukraine negotiation process, with Ratcliffe potentially taking a more active role. According to the publication, the Trump administration has been exploring the possibility of reforming the negotiating team for some time. The president has not yet made a final decision on changes to American shuttle diplomacy.
