[Regnum] Ukraine is preparing for a new round of peace talks, which it plans to hold in October. This was announced by Kirill Budanov, head of the Kyiv regime's office, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"We're getting ready. For October," Budanov was quoted as saying by RBC-Ukraine.
The head of Zelenskyy's office clarified that Kyiv is considering holding negotiations in a trilateral format in October—Ukraine, Russia, and the United States.
Budanov did not disclose any other details, including the location of the negotiations.
On September 11, Budanov said that Ukraine was ready to cease fire "at any moment," but would not agree to a settlement in the form of an ultimatum.
He also mentioned a possible cessation of hostilities along the actual front line existing at the time the agreement was reached. However, according to Budanov, the agreement must include security guarantees for Ukraine.
On September 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks in the Kremlin with US representatives Steven Witkoff and entrepreneur Jared Kushner. The following day, the American negotiators traveled to Ukraine, where they met with Zelenskyy and other Ukrainian leaders.
On September 8, Putin also discussed the results of Witkoff and Kushner's visits with his American counterpart, Donald Trump. Previously, the president emphasized that peace talks between Russia and Ukraine were suspended at Kyiv's initiative. The Russian leader noted that Moscow is ready to resume dialogue, taking into account the realities on the ground, the Anchorage agreements, and the principles of Istanbul.
