| 134 Migrants From Seven Countries Prepared For Deportation From Libya’s Sirte |

| [LibyaReview] Libyan immigration authorities in Sirte transferred 134 migrants of seven nationalities on Saturday to detention centres in Ajdabiya and Benghazi to complete procedures for their deportation. The Sirte branch of Libya’s Directorate for Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM) said the transfers were carried out in two consecutive operations under instructions from DCIM Head Major General Salah Mahmoud Al-Khafifi. The migrants are nationals of Egypt, Sudan, Bangladesh, Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Niger. Authorities divided them into two groups according to their planned deportation routes. The first group consisted of Egyptian and Sudanese nationals. They were transferred to the Ajdabiya detention centre, where authorities will complete the required procedures before returning them to their countries by land. The Sirte branch did not disclose how many Egyptian and Sudanese nationals were included in the group. More at the link |
