| Tom Cotter Uncovers the Duesenberg That Survived WWII Hidden Under Hay |

| [Motorious] Tom Cotter's usual beat on Barn Find Hunter is the backroad tip and the overgrown driveway, but episode 203 sends him somewhere different: the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan. The 90-acre campus holds more than 400 vehicles and a cluster of marque-specific museums, and on this visit Cotter was drawn in by an exhibit built around cars that vanished from view for reasons far more serious than neglect. That exhibit, titled Hidden Treasures: Classics Preserved in the Shadows of War, was assembled with the Classic Car Club of America and tells the story of three automobiles deliberately concealed in Europe during World War II so occupying forces couldn't seize them. Museum executive director John Hansen walked Cotter through the display, which recreates the actual hiding spots, from cellars to outbuildings, that kept each car out of sight for years. |
