Sources told North Press that the victim’s brother shot and killed a defendant accused of murdering his brother inside the Criminal Court courtroom while the defendant was appearing before the court.
The sources said the defendant was appearing before the court on charges of killing the shooter’s brother. Upon seeing him inside the courtroom, the man pulled out a pistol he had concealed and opened fire in front of judges and lawyers, killing the defendant instantly.
Local media outlets reported that one person was killed and a police officer was wounded in the shooting inside the Criminal Court, while security forces evacuated the courtroom.
