[Regnum] Russian air defense forces shot down 426 Ukrainian drones during the day, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on September 3.
"During the day, from 8:00 to 20:00 Moscow time, air defense systems on duty intercepted and destroyed 426 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles," the statement said.
The drones were shot down over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Vladimir, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tver, Tula regions, the Moscow region and Crimea.
Earlier that day, two civilians in the Oryol region were injured in an attack by Ukrainian drones. Destruction was recorded at the crash sites of the downed drones: private homes, outbuildings, and cars were damaged.
